  3. My engine oil was 0w20 which come for 10,000 km and fully synthetic. With travel restrictions usage of car is reduced. This has lead oil change happens once per year. Is this ok? If I need to move to 5,000km mileage oil then what's the most suitable option? Is it recommended? Mazda agent in Sri Lanka, C#lonial M#tors use 5w30 oil for Mazda Axela Hybrid. They do not have 0w20 which usually comes for 10,000 km mileage.

Looked in the classified sites and most of them appears to be overpriced despite them being Low market ones (Compared to Toyota) in SL. Do you people have any idea about how much these would be worthy of buying? Are these vehicles recommended for the respective prices. If not what are the alternatives that I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Prime

  9. Dear All, I have been reading lots of threads and almost all the things I have learned about cars because of your valuable and unbiased reviews. At the moment I'm ready to buy my very first car and have managed to fund maximum of 2.8 Mil. Please give me your kind advice to select a car from below mentioned cars which I have selected with my knowledge. If you can suggest me any car otherthan them, highly appreciate it. My main concerns are, i). Reliability ii). Fuel efficiency (I prefer go for a manual since I'm living in Badulla and less traffic ) iii).Im not think much about resale value since I don't have any idea about funding again for a apgrade in the future with my other plans (like construction of my own home etc..) Here are the models I have selected with my knowledge. 1.Mitsubishi Lancer CS3 manual 2011/2012 2.Toyota 121 Manual 1500CC 2003 3.Toyota Yaris 1300CC 2008 4.Toyota Vios 2005 5.Mazda Axela 2003 Think to go for a manual and looking for your kind advices I have no enough experience about cars and only expertised about motorcycles. Thank you. Radar
  10. Hi, I’m planning of buying a Mazda 3 or Axela near future (2004 model). I’ve searched and read so many posts related to this awesome car in autolanka forum and had a good understanding of it. I love the overall appearance and the performance of this car and I’m eager to own a one. However, I am bothered of one matter and hope the experts of this forum and existing owners could help me. In Internet, I’ve read many articles which mention that the Mazda 3 is not much “rust resistant”. Some articles (below links) says that the Mazda 3 is the “least rust resistant car” among other famous car brands. (Even worse than Kia, Hyundai) http://forums.redflagdeals.com/top-10-best-worst-rust-resistant-cars-1593327/ http://www.theautonet.com/en/2013/10/09/top-10-best-and-worst-rust-resistant-cars So, is the Mazda 3 actually that much of weak for rust/corrosion? Will that be a major issue when running the car in Colombo including the roads near coastal areas? Thanks

That means I have to confirm within 3 days! And I have contacted 4 dealers who import vehicles from Japan... But none of them did not seem to have even a clue about axela. They are experts of axios and premios but when I mention axela ,aaaa is the first reply I got from 3 of them. Went cover to cover in HitAd , but only one importer even mentioned Axela and when I call them they only know about Hybrid version!!!! My questions are: 1)Is this quoted price is reasonable? 2)Will I be able to go for more options if I go for JDM? 3) If I import vehicle without through the agent-[obviously JDM] how much will I be able to save?Is it worth? 4)Advice regarding buy from the agents or buy a JDM through a usual importer.Which one will be wiser? Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi everyone, I own a 2007 Mazda 3 and i love it. It handles well and fun to drive. And it seems there are many hidden features in this car that is fun to discover. The first one i found is the Trip Computer which was hidden in my car., and i unlocked it with the help of this thread: http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/4873-unlocking-the-trip-computer-in-mazda-3/ and thanks Dinu for the tip. few days ago i was searching YouTube on how to replace the cabin air filter., i came across with this video: According to the video., we can do some cool tricks with the audio system by pressing combinations of two buttons simultaneously. Power button + Media button --> changes the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Power button + Up Seek button --> causes all the letters/digits in the information display to come on Power button + Clock button --> according to the video, this kind of locks the keypad. but in my case, apart from locking the keypad, it shows the name of the key when i press a key. for an example, when i press the Media button in this mode, the display shows "Media". Power button + 2 (RANDOM) button --> gives a signal-strength meter of the current radio frequency. Power button + Tuning button --> causes the sound to go around in circles, one speaker at a time. this is the coolest feature and i always confuse my friends with this. By holding the Audio Control button for 2-3 seconds, you can clear all the previous audio settings (Bass, Treble, Fade, Balance) and set everything to 0. Hope this information is helpful and if you guys know any other cool-hidden features of any car, please share.. Enjoy..
