please fuel consumption and maintenance cost of Toyota ist 2002-2004.. and need to make a choice between ist and swift beetle..

I heard that there is a petrol tank oil filter in the cars. So when I should change the petrol tank oil filter? I mean millage? Is there a way to check whether petrol tank oil filter is good or bad? What are the indications that we have to change the oil filter?

Hi, I am using a Toyota Allion 260. It's onky 3K km done. Y'day I rolled down all glasses when I get in to remove the heat. then I rolled up all. But the glass at Driver's side went all the way up dis-locating the groove. It went up more than 1-2 inches wrt to usual. Then I just make it down about 5 inches. Now its in dis located position. I want to know how to remove the door panel?. I did remove the arm rest and there was one screw there. removed the triangle near the mirror. afraid to go ahead since there could be more to remove before pulling the panel out. Any clues please?

My CE110 now eighteen years old, started to give vibrations when demand high power and some times give a lag to pick up when put to "D" position.My mechanic says this might due to worn and old transmission. And he suggested to add a blend of AT oil and 20W-40 oil as a final resort. But he further suggested me to drive till AT works fine and then try it . So dear experts, Did you experience or even heard this type of thing and will it work for me? And further he told that some imported used jap machinery found to have mixed oil.Do you know anything like that? Thanks in advance!

Hi I have a 2007 toyota vitz and i noticed a while back after 1 hour driver the rim of front wheel getting very heat than the rear. front wheel has disk break. What could be the reason for this ? Also the break booster is fine. is it normal in vitz the speed u get is reduced quickly when you take the leg from the accelerator out ? thanks, Thusira

Hi, I have purchased a second hand Toyota vitz (YOM-2007) recently. Like two three weeks back, the following problem occurred in the HID lights which installed as Low beam (only left): 1. When i switch on the low beam the bulb on with yellow and held like 2 mins and auto off. Again turned off and on the low beam via the switch, the result same. 2. So i replace the bulb of left side light and test the same, then bulb on with white and held for like 20 or 30 min and again auto off. (time vary) This was the factory installed HID kit and i cannot understand where the problem really is, Bulb,HID system, fuse, switch , etc. i thought of going for an electrician. please help me some idea before i make that move. I have a Toyota Rush 2010 model and a Nissan Sunny N16 2005 model. Compared to the Sunny, Power steering of Rush is kind of Hard. In Sunny its very smooth and easy to turn the vehicle but its not the same in Toyota Rush. Is it because the Rush has bigger wheels? Doesn't Toyota Rush use Electric Steering and makes it easier to steer the vehicle? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank You!

Recently i have brought Toyota town-ace KR42(converted).The problem is that seat belt indicator does not work always. Then i looked at the under the driver seat i could able to see disconnected wire from the driver seat(wire has cut ). Is that the cause for this issue ? If so where should i connect this disconnected wire ? i couldn't find any place to connect it by looking at floor area

Hi Guys, Does anyone know the front speaker size of a 1997 corolla wagon (CE108 Elephant back model) ? I did quite a bit of googling on this and some specs say it's 5.25" while some say it's 4". I could not find any rear speakers in the car, so it seems that I just have to replace the stock speakers on the front doors. Thanks in advance !

Guys, My vehicle is a toyota aqua, while it's comfortable in fine roads, I'm not happy with it's suspensions on country roads. I spoke to another prius owner and he said it's about same for most of the toyota vehicle, not sure if it's true. I was wondering, if it's a good idea to replace suspension with some better ones, ultimately my idea is to get the same feeling as in a SUV Any thoughts?

I've been looking to buy a Toyota Cynos for a while now and found something very peculiar. There are two models of this- 1991 and 1996, but prices of both these cars are roughly similar. (Around 1.1-1.3m) The obvious thing to do is go for the newer model, but is there any inherent fault in the new model? Why does both these models cost the same? Anyone got any idea? Thanks

I thought of going for an upgrade, and while im searching, I saw few good Verossas for a decent price thought it's badged as Toyota. I want to know the followings, How would be the maintainance of this car? Is it a reliable car? Heard that not many mechanics are familiar with beam engines, is it true? If buying, what are the things i need to check(particular to verossa) Thanks in adance.

I have a toyota hiace kdh201 and its dpf was deleted. At arround 6 months After delete the DPF it began to emmit black some. then the EGR, exhaust manifold, turbo and injectors were cleaned. now again it emits black smoke when engine rev. it's only 1 month since the system cleaned by mechanic. Do anyone know why this is happenning. I'm using Super diesel. Thanks.

Hi All, My car is a Toyota Luxel manufactured in 2002 and it has come with factory fitted Xenon headlights with user adjustable levelling. One thing I have noticed since I bought it 2 years ago is that the headlights are really dim. It is more so because the beam from these xenon headlights are soft violet and they are not as bright as some of the lights you see on cars today (I am not referring to HIDs here). This causes undue strain while driving at night. The lights, when cold started has a nice blue beam and gradually turns soft violet in 5-10 seconds after starting. Lately the driver side bulb blinks/filckers while driving. I would like the lights to stay blue all throughout as that light is much easier to see. When asked from Tyt Lnka, they asked me to replace the bulbs which will cost 35k each. I want to know, if buying original bulbs will improve visibility ? Or should I go for an after market bulb ? Tyt Lanka has only one type of xenon bulb. I would prefer to select a nice blue light and this is why Im wondering if I should go for an after market bulb. thanks, timms.

Hi, I have a 1985 Toyota sprinter which used to do well on fuel. There was an oil leak and the engine was recently overhauled. now the car does a little over 8 KM per litre. It used to do over 10 per liter in town with AC. Anyone knows how this can be fixed? Last week, the Carb was cleaned with cleaner. the rings have been replaced with the spark plugs, plug harness etc. There does not seem to be a performance loss but there is a loss of mileage which is very expensive. Any hints to fix this? I was told this carburettor is complicated to tune so maybe the garage accidentally changed something that should not be changed. Thanks! Gayan

I recently went to MegCity Ambatenna for service. and after they inspect under the car, they told to Lower arm bush have to be replaced soon.
