Hi all, The front left door lock of my Mazda3 (2008) is malfuctioning sometimes. The lock is movable and is locking alright. But when unlocking, its impossible for the passenger to unlock it properly (the button is moving, but not unlocking), and I have to lock and unlock from the central lock 5-6 times to get the door unlocked. Any idea whats the problem or can you guys recommend a good place (around colombo or kottawa) to get this fixed? Thanks!

my mazda familia will not move in the mornings until the temperature increase.Further HOLD signe flashes until the car start moving.ATF is okay.What is the reason for this problem.How can I over come this problem.

My engine oil was 0w20 which come for 10,000 km and fully synthetic. With travel restrictions usage of car is reduced. This has lead oil change happens once per year. Is this ok? If I need to move to 5,000km mileage oil then what's the most suitable option? Is it recommended? Mazda agent in Sri Lanka, C#lonial M#tors use 5w30 oil for Mazda Axela Hybrid. They do not have 0w20 which usually comes for 10,000 km mileage.

Hello all, after the struggle to find a car over 1 year, finally I bought a car which with the help of suggestions of you and some of my Mazda owner colleagues. Didn't like to show off the things, but the big guy @iRage asked me to do so, such that I can share my experience with you all. I had a few choices, where I began with AE/CE 110, then since I joined the forum, I was driven towards Primera (SR20) and Mark 2. Was looking for some over the time, but due to same day price increments , being too old, and due to the fact that the government won't remove the import ban anytime soon and even if that happens they would have to increase the taxes by a considerable amount I tried moving a step ahead with the budget. So after a few months of search, I found a car which matched my favour (But did cost me some). The ride is smooth and the feel is good. So all the doubts before buying this one got flown away by the moment I went on to touch the steering wheel. It had ridden 120K by the time I bought this. All the services done through Colonial and was in mint condition except for a few minor side scratches. Fuel economy is good on highways, did around 17kmpl within the highway in the 2 trips I went. On City not so sure, the roads are pretty empty on where I live 😅 So, to make things simple I bought a Mazda 6 2.0L 2014, skyactive (An old dashboard version), beige interior, Black and still enjoying every moment of it except for the fact that it is isolation now and can't get into the wheels due to that. Looked for a new dashboard version earlier and it did cost around 8M. So it stopped me over this while moving. But so far no regrets and do love the ride. I am a newbie to the ride but, Let me know if you are intending to buy one and need any insights on the car, would be glad to help on. But considering the options that I had earlier to select from (Axio, Allion, grace, bla bla bla). This is way better in look, muscular Much space inside Much better handling Fuel consumption is relatively good for a 2c. (Axio does around 24kmpl, but this is way better on feel) Non-Hybrid (So less maintenance costs compared to M3 ) Though I am a newbie there might be some wash marks still on the car, looking to order some grit guards and begin on with the 2 basket method. Btw thanks all within the form for the wonderful help through the journey. I might move to another in 1-2 years of time (Though I am not sure I will scale up or scale down). But for the moment, I am very much perfect with this, and enjoying the every mile of the ride.

Hello all, With all the suggestions I have moved myself with a Mazda 6. But currently I have some doubts over the maintenance as I am very new to the wheel. So please bear with my I am very basic. I do have a few questions which I would love to get answered. The person which I bought this from told me that it is not ideal to wash them with soap or any shampoo, but only with water. is that true? If not what are the ideal alternatives which I can use and where can find them in SL? I would like to do polishing myself, is there any suggested recommendations for the materials to use? What are the ones to do polishing on chassis Paint What are the ones to work on the Tyres Any Recommendations to polish the interior (Dashboard, Gear panel lines, etc)? I do have beige interior, what is the recommended way of cleaning them up and polishing them up? With Castrol oil, is it worthy to have services done once every10000Kms or should I stick to the same routing of 5000Kms? Is it recommended to use the pressure gun (At an angle) while washing the car? At least should I bought some Microfibril clothes as suggestions from one of the previous threads (Yeah I did some homework too, haha). Is there a frequency which these should be changed? There are a few minor scratches, any way which I can overcome these? Saw some glass cleaning tablets for the vipers which I ordered for cleaning, is it safe to use them with water? Any other car caring tips which you would like to guide me (Any mechanical guidelines, etc) Thanks for being an awesome forum, really do appreciate any kind help

This has become a huge challenge to me , my budget is around 4.0 Mn to 4.5 Mn, I was searching in lot of places, seems all car's prices have gone sky high. I have been planning on this since quite a time. BTW i was looking for a Toyota, Honda or Mazda so my concern is look, reliability, fuel economy and maintenance and lastly the re selling price. The vehicle's manufactured year should be at least > 2010. In fact I was interested of, Toyota aqua , Mazda Alexa and Honda insight, So you guys please suggest me a good vehicle, what ever vehicle Other than listed here, I highly value any idea which comes to me , cuz am a complete new to the subject.

Looked in the classified sites and most of them appears to be overpriced despite them being Low market ones (Compared to Toyota) in SL. Do you people have any idea about how much these would be worthy of buying? Are these vehicles recommended for the respective prices. If not what are the alternatives that I have. Hi, Once i used premio 2015 and it was a great car at all!, letter i sell it because lack of newer tech and safety options...Then i brought a Honda vezel 2018 rs and its been about 4 month! it is also a good vehicle and i literally felt little luxury than using a basic premio😅 but now..well i met with an accident and got serious damages to bonnet, front shell ,front buffer, fenders and had to replace them! So i sold it because its kinder bothering and reminding me about the accident and the damage that had happened to my vehicle! well now im finding a good vehicle to buy below about 8.7 millions and i found Premio 2016 and mazda 6 gt 2500cc 2016...wich will be better for me?I Also consider about repairs common issues and maintaining costs too.. premio is good but im scared that i will got that boring feeling when using it because Lack of newer techs that i used to use in my vezel like adaptive cruise control mazda 6 is also a very good looking car and i also love the interior too!..it is very eye catching sedan but i never used a mazda vehicle before!..so im kinda scared about repairs and service costs..i herd the fuel consumption of the mazda 6 is about 8km/l. I can handle around 8km/l or above but not more below from it Which will be better for me? If neither premio nor mazda , suggest me a good car to buy around 8.7 millions

Greetings all, I am interested in buying a vehicle (A used one) and it appears there is some issues in pricing of them due to the current situation in the country. Also I do not thing it would get reduced anytime sooner even the imports are allowed from the government in the future, as there is always the possibility to add more tax in order to balance the exchange flow. Therefore I am interested on knowing what the best available vehicles within the following price ranges (I am not a long distance driver, and would mostly be used for domestic usage, and some fortnight/monthly travels of around 150-200 Km). Cars in between 1.5M to 2.0M - Currently I am thinking of AE 110, but it is hard to find a good one within the range Cars in between 2.0M - 3.0M - Was looking for a Toyota 121, But it is in the latter parts of 2M and even in early 3Ms, so considering age don't think it's worth the money Cars in between 3.0M - 3.5M - Toyota 141, Allion 240 , but fuel consumption and parts is an issue in the early one. Allion 240 early versions are yet available I am looking for a Sedan type vehicle and my first vehicle (Probably I might go for a SUV later next year) , Please let me know your opinions on these. Hello fellow ALs, This is the first time I'm posting on the forum after using this as an unregistered visitor for quiet some times. I have this average looking question, which I came up with different answers each time I ran it through my mind. Therefore your expertise is strongly required & I seek your valuable advices. I have bit of knowledge on vehicles as my famly owns few from time to time and now its time to grab one for myself. My budget is ranging from LKR 2 million to 4 million. This is the tricky part. I have first hand experience on used car repairs and sometimes I feel like I should go either with brand new one from agents or unregistered reconditioned one (With validated pre-shipment inspection sheets). Then as I found out my available options are Kia Picanto (Unfortunately they still sell 2018 model), Perodua Axia and other 600CC-650CC kei cars. I cannot justify myself buying a kei car at current price tags. And rear of the Axia is a big NO for my desires which left me with Picanto. It is a good option since it is brand new and comes with agent warranty but being the 2018 model keeps me doubting myself. I really likes the new Suzuki Xbee but unfortunately it is out of my budget. And I don't like to sit behind the steering wheel of a Vitz either. Then I looked at used car market. Only thing keep me away from these are repairs. I love Mazdas and I always wanted to grab an Axela/3 or a Demio. Since manufacturing year is newer and since it is a beauty I looked at Demios and I could find 2008-2009 ones for about 2.6million (In average as a guide) These are normally clocked around 100,000 kms and I'm afraid of repairs which might occur in those if I buy these. Except that I really like the Demio (BTW I ready through all 8 pages of "The Demio thread") Ford fiesta was another car I really love (Not the indian version) and I was thinking about importing one with 1L eco boost engine (Assuming custom duty is around 2million) but unfortunately I couldn't find any stock which was matching with custom requirements (Not older than 3 years old & RHD). ( I know my researching skills are not great, therefore kindly point me at right direction if importing used RHD Ford Fiesta (1L) is still a viable option.) So above description sums it up upto some extent as how my mind works nowadays. Love the demio but afraid of serious repairs ?, Loves Picanto but buying 2018 model in 2020 is unjustifiable ?, Xbee is lovely but out of budget, FIesta 1L is superb but where to get one ? As i went through ads i noticed that the maxda axela 2007 coming around my budget .idnt care abt the fuel consumption or the market value . My only concerns are, 1.Im from kurunegala and im not sure any mazda agents /qualified service centres/spare parts in this area.
