Hi friends, I am interested to buy a motorbike for daily usage such as travel short distance mostly and long distance once in a while. So I have no idea about which type would be most suitable for me because I know little about bikes. I see lots of Indian bikes on the road. But I prefer a Japanese one because its said to be durable, comfortable and long lasting. ( Don't really know though) So my requirements are; - Averagely economical - ( no need to be the most economical ) - Easiness of maintenance - ( Availability of spares rather than how cheaper they are ) - Handling - Ability to travel comfortably especially longer distances - 250cc could be most suitable - medium sized ( not too large ) So please suggest me brands or models to think about and find about. Hi Everyone, Its been awhile since i was on the forums. I've decided to go for a Honda CRZ which i'll be picking up this Thursday. It'll be my first hybrid and first coupe. I know its not the fastest thing on the planet but it will be enough fun for me :-). Wanted to pick the brains of all you Honda and CRZ boffins on what i should look out for in terms of maintenance and if you had any tips with regards to daily use and where to go for its regular servicing. Hey! I currently drive a GE6 Honda Fit, which I love to bits but lately feel is lacking a bit of oomph. Plus thanks to its hybrid variant has become quite a common sight on Sri Lankan roadways. I've got some money available & am wondering whether it would be wiser to try & mod my current car OR upgrade to something a bit more capable. My budget could get me a second-hand Honda FD1 or a Lancer Ex. I've read extensively that even the L15A(1.5l) engine which comes in the RS version has its limitations with performance upgrades. Mines the L13A(1.3l) version. Hence the feeling that money spent on a bigger setup would be better than upgrading an already smaller engine. In your opinion what would be the better bet. Thanks!

So here goes my question. I am planning to buy one of these (Nissan Primera TP12, Honda Civic ES8, Subaru B4). My budget is 2 millions. But now I can't decide which to buy out of these 3. According to your oppinion what can deliver the best overall satisfaction?? My major concerns would be performance, less trouble, looks , reselling value and specially driving pleasure I wouldn't mind less than average fuel economy and bit expensive maintainance (but not too much) Or else is there any other option which i can consider within this range?? I know there are posts about this topic but I couldn't find a recent one. All of them were pretty old. I want to know the current condition. Hope this thread will be helpful to many people in the future aswel.

Hi all, i'm planing to buy a CVR (YOM 1999 or 2000). this is going to be my first suv. i have heard it's a better vehicle. but i'm not aware about the known issues. if you guys know about the CRV, pls contribute your thoughts. it would help me to make better decision.FYI, my budget is just 1.9 , 2 million only. please mention the other things you know about CRV as well. Hi All, I have got a 92' Honda Civic EG8 Single carb, and with the time and all my doors have lowered and it gives a very screeching and a squeaking sound when i open and close the door, and plus i have to close all my doors hard to close it properly, i googl'd and i found out that my door pins have to be replaced and unfortunately i have no clue where to buy it in sri lanka, does anyone know where i can buy those or get my doors fixed??

Hi guys, I am in a need of EG8 vtec distributor. I thought ignition coil was bad and bought a new one. But actually CMP sensor is fault. If you have got a removed distributor(most probably due bad coil), please let me know. I only need the housing with CMP sensor. Regards, Indika.

Hi, In my car, when i drive above 60kmph, it starting to give me jerks... so I took it to a mechanic and checked it. and find out that the 2 of the spark plugs have been damaged( I instralled them 1 month ago and done only 600kms) they got corossion. The mechanic said, its a head gasket issue and he is not sure. What do you think guys?? Please help me out

Hi all, I thought of sharing what I have found(not something new) but, I think most Civic EK owners dont know(I might be wrong, but people I talked didnt know about it) So this all begins with me experiencing that my EK3's clusters were barely visible at night, stock back-lights only light up the numbers of all dials and not having glow needles make it hard to read where the needles are pointing at night, specially, the temp needle. At 1st I thought of fitting a glow gauges, but it didnt feel right, so thought of upgrading the stock bulbs with LEDs and followed the instructions of this youtube to remove the cluster panel.Cluster panel was back-lit using 2 - T10s and 3 - T5s, so all you have to do is replace them with relevant LEDs. (If you are buying LEDs, go for SMD 5050 insted of SMD 3528 which has high intensity of light) and during this process, I found out that, my civic's cluster panel has a front lit system, which allows light coming from front of the cluster panels, and enables to read all clusters. It has 2 T3 bulbs (I marked the place by arrows in the pic in below link) Pic one So this is how it looks like at night,(pic is not clear, but, its really clear for naked eye) Pic two Pic three And I learned it in the hard way, because, my T10 LEDs were SMD 5050 while T3s were SMD 3528, thats why you can see there is a difference between the brightness. So, by changing these 2 bulbs will increase the visibility of you clusters and you dont need to spend like 6k to go for glow gauges. Cheers And sorry if this is something which is a well known fact.

My EK3 is having a D15Z7 engine and I was perviously faced corrotions on my spark plugs. But now it became worse.... my tappet cover and injector system was cracked. :-( Mechanic said its due to over-heating and he said I need to replace engine. But cant I just replace this particular parts?? If it is possible, where can i find this whole unit??

Guys, i need to change all 4 tyres and currently it has Falken ZE912 205/50R16 tyres. i have two questions. 1. i was thinking to put 205/55 instead of 205/50 coz 55 gives u the best speed output. yet it is about 1cm thinker. so thinking what to go with. 2. I was checking out the Dunlop Sport LM703 tyre. But it has different critics in the internet. some say its good n some say its side walls are very bad. anyone who has been using this tyre. If not what would be a good alternative. I need to know the brand, model and the country of mfg that you recommend. my budget is max around 25k per tire. thanks in advance.

Does any one have experience over those two models ? I would like to know the fuel consumption differences if there is any. As i have seen there are no major differences in the options other than the exterior look. Could someone has experience over those two models please share the experience. Thanks

I have a year2000 Honda City for more than a year, its a nice car that gave me no trouble but recently i found that there's an OIL LEAK from the Rack End. I read that post about Rack end oil leak of that cefiro, but got no clues about Honda spares.. please need some advice where or how to get it fixed.. regards..

Guys, Y'day, when I took the car(Honda civic ek3 1999) for a wheel alignment, I saw some rust parts under the car. And in some areas it has been spread pretty big. Is it normal in cars which has driven nearly 15yrs??? If yes/no, do I need to do something?? if so, what can I do to this matter?? Do I need to take it to a garage and let them treat this rust?? or Is there a way I can do it by myself?? Guys I'm in search of Good Honda AX-1 Bike as a secondary vehicle. Plan is to keep it as long as I can. I ruled out indian bikes bue to various durability issues, etc. This is not going to be an off roader, hence the trail bikes ticked out. I wanted some powerfull bike with both road use and time to time off road use. What are the main advantages and disadvantages in two chessy numbers (correct me if i'm wrong here) 110 and 120 (also some call it "Val Akuru model" because how letters printed)

I am looking for a place to service my CIVIC ek3. Any idea on the best places with the cost please. What's the best engine oil for a ek3 (D15B engine)? Last time I serviced at Stafford and they had only Caltex. Castrol or Mobil oils are much better choices ?
