First i must thank admins for accepting my AutoLanka forum user account. So, Here is the story. I'm looking for a car (sedan/saloon) around 15-20 laks (Japanese/European). It will be my very first vehicle. I don't have expert knowledge in the area. But i was thinking of getting Civic EK3. Need your opinions.about EK3. Current Price range. Models available. Things i should look before buying. Fuel consumption (Manual vs. Auto) ... also about other vehicles i can get for that price range, Thanks.

Guys, Y'day, when I took the car(Honda civic ek3 1999) for a wheel alignment, I saw some rust parts under the car. And in some areas it has been spread pretty big. Is it normal in cars which has driven nearly 15yrs??? If yes/no, do I need to do something?? if so, what can I do to this matter?? Do I need to take it to a garage and let them treat this rust?? or Is there a way I can do it by myself?? Hi folks, I have give up on looking a decent SUV for a low price and now thinking of buying a Civic. I found a one at a good cost but it has damaged interior. Are there places where I can buy door boards and a dash board or are there any one who refurbish them to me?? Cheers

I am looking for a place to service my CIVIC ek3. Any idea on the best places with the cost please. What's the best engine oil for a ek3 (D15B engine)? Last time I serviced at Stafford and they had only Caltex. Castrol or Mobil oils are much better choices ?

Hi guys, I got a Honda Civic '93 stick shift with a D15B3 engine. I bought the car with a broken A/C and during the period I drove without A/C, I didn't notice any heating issues. Then I got the A/C fixed by replacing the compressor, condensor etc. Now, the car heats up when driving slow in traffic with the A/C on or when parked with the A/C on. This too happens especially during the day when it is like 40 Celcius (I'm in Doha!) and at night, I don't notice the car heating up. What could be the issue? This morning, I opened up the radiator cap and switched on the car and noticed froth developing. It didn't look like the bigger bubbles you get with a blown head gasket. Please advice what could be the issue and what I should check next. Thank You!

My car is honda ek3 1999 brand new model. when after the AC is started idle goes down to 400 when switch off its gets normal. Cleaned TB Checked Idle up valve Change petrol filter Done Injector clean Changed Air filter Done all things which have mentioned in Topic Ek3 idle fluctuating issue Is this can happen coz of Alternator Coz i had a issue with alternator and replaced it from dual carb engine alternator Battery Charging sytem is k but idle goes down when AC is started Help me ask me for clarification

Hello experts.... I am looking for a EK3 Vi-RS (1999/2000) and I got few confusions on identifying the real Vi-RS as most of the cars are dressed up to look like Vi-RS models. As far as I got to know following are few thing to identify the Vi-RS. Meter gauge should be 'White' in color Vi RS sticker in the boot door RS badge on the front grill Original bucket seats Kindly tel me if these are correct and if there are any other options to check and identify a proper Vi-RS ? Hi guys, Got my JDM imported civic EG4 . Used for track days and as a grocery getter. Here are a few specs and upgrades done to the car by me: 1. HKS titanium exhaust 2. 16 inch Borbet rims 3. type r badges 4. TEIN shocks 5. upgraded brakes The car is sitting low compared to the corolla next to it and the handling for a car that weighs 980kg's is awesome (can corner a bend at 85km/h easy . will be upgrading the engine to a B16A one day hopefully. The car currently makes 125bhp, give me some your thoughts and ideas to help me make this beast into a better monster track and street car. ohh and what about the prius hating sticker? lol. Yes i do downshift whenever I see a prius, prius drivers hate me lool . The sticker would be good in sri lanka as well considering the amount of those hideous cars on the road.

Dear All, I think my Car battery is completely dead. Even If I fully recharged, it won't hold a single day. Currently it has a Exide 60A battery. I'm not sure it is the correct battery amperage for my car. I don't have any high power consuming audio setup or lighting system attached to it. What are the battery amperage of your Civic Ek3 ? I'm going to buy new one this Saturday. Thank you !

I had a problem with my distributor. I replaced with a recondition distributor for 16 000.00. I drove one week with pleasure. But now the problem comes again. It is difficult to start my eg8. When I throttle it stops. what to to. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Is there any difference between vtec fuel consumption and non-vtec fuel consumption? If so which does better? I would also appreciate if anybody can tell me which is better? main differences in the price range and vehicle differences etc. would help me a lot. My budget is 1.5m P.S. I was going for a Lancer CK2 but after i test drove a civic ek3 i just fell in love with it! Thanks
