  5. yes it is,cz afaik the tax is pretty much high, but if you know the way then you are good to go but always it's worth the hassle!
  6. I gues its Shehan, saw his post on fb,tried importing a set of A050 & Neova AD8,but each tyre cost around 30k without any tax I guess the only option would be a get a set when in Malaysia
  7. Sorry for OT,does anyone know where to get semi-slick tyres? I contacted the agents but none of them are willing to import a set.
  8. dude either you have to redo the wheel arches or use the same 17" rims,5" difference is pretty much big. try using a big spacer, but I don't recommend using it long term, have seen alot of broken spacers. or else use a deep dish alloy and use a 225 tire. that will cover up the gap
  9. try JJ Lanka. I'm having jj wheels for my sera. can't remember the offset, but anything between 35-42 will do fine. last time I saw your sera it had 17" wheels, that's way too big for the car+ it's uncomfortable to drive. but I don't know getting back to 15 or 16" wheels will retain the wide wheels arch looks.
  10. dude not the lambo/gullwing doors.
  11. heard over at news for now 18/19/300/301 & 302 registered vehicles can get the new registration/english numbers.
  12. I'm using the Aramex shopnship service. there's a one time payment of 45$ and you get addresses in USA,UK & China. I've bought automotive items from all those countries and got down to Sri Lanka without any trouble. usually you get your items to Sri Lanka within a week.
  13. yup, that GT is a monster.once had a drag with him and followed the same path as others .. he won. btw he's a really nice fellow.

  16. D'oh! I though we can import but the taxes would be higher than normal 2< year old vehicles. damn this government!
  17. Can't we import a Gen 7 Celica,I know the tax would be high, but is it possible to import a vehicle older than 2years to Sri Lanka? I'm sorry digging up an old thread

    Swift Or Ist?

Go for the Swift sport,it's fast(trust me ,I'm telling from my experience from drags ) ,it's far better than the IST (IMHO though) Regarding the ride comfortness,it sticks to the road & handles pretty well too,I think you'll be happy with it
  21. what's the repair are you planning to do,I do mine at Buddhika's place in Battaramulla.he's having a small place but work is good.
  22. Thank Sylvi for your response do you have any personal experience from "Samarasinghe Windscreen house"?
  23. Recently my car met with an accident which lead to a broken windscreen. and managed to get a replacement from a spare parts shop in Delkanda area. but what matters is I've never been into any of the windscreen installation shops, but have seen few vehicles with having trouble to travel during rain because of the improper installation of the glass. are there any good places/outlets to get the job done properly? I'm sorry if this is a noob type of a question, but hope you guys will help me out
