  1. until you find the specific info, what you can do is try to go slowly,(aka without getting into higher revs=LOUDER!) when passing cops. I have a straight through+screamer in my setup, but had been in trouble only once, try to talk them nicely instead of arguing with them about the legal noise levels.in simple the more you argue the more you get into trouble. because in my case the cop told me not to go loud in city areas as they will stop for that. btw if you really need to info go to a police station near you and ask them in regard, they will help you(most of the time)
  2. I don't think that doing an exhaust wrapping will do much gain in fuel efficiency, but might add a bit difference in performance. like Ripper said it might affect the life span. If you need to get a wrapping cloth,go towards sangaraja mw,you can find some shops who sell those.its a diy job but make sure you cut some gaskets for the downpipe, cause you might damage it while removing. also make sure to wet the wrap before you apply & use latex gloves+dust mask.
  3. Toyota Sera did 180km+,the speedo is out by 180km so I couldnt get a specific reading after 180.
  4. atm I'm happy with my car and in future would like to have skyline r34 but without selling the one I use now
  5. I got in to the same trouble with cops near piththala handiya,I said that I've removed the cat and that's why it makes the more noise, then the cop asked me to not to go loud in colombo roads since it will catch more attention of cops ,but out from colombo I wont have any trouble. btw folks who found it troubles them ,here's a solution http://www.apexi-usa.com/products/?id=5326
  6. just check on the collar of the bulb.it should mention type/wattage & voltage
  7. or else visit m0t3r c@d3,you can get rancho shocks
  8. if your model/car comes with H4,go for the H4 HID kit, afaik the kit comes with high and low.if you can't find which model of bulb to use, just take out a bulb from your car n see,my standard bulbs were H3C & H1 so I got the same type for HIDs.so it should work for you as well.
  9. i dont think that those stuff available over here, but you can get from ebay for about 10$ p.s:during heavy breaking, the cover might melt & will stuck on ur caliper
  10. there's one alloy wheel shop in pasyala, they have one set of 13" magnesium wheels.those are very light weight, those are yellowish but if you get a respray then you are done!
  11. free flow exhause is one of the easiest method to gain some more performance from your engine.but just changing the muffler wont make much in power gain.for the fuel economy, afaik it does affect a lil bit for your fuel, but if you want to gain more HP=save more fuel,it wont work that way. If you are planing to go free flow, from downpipe to end ,take it to a professional who knows his job
  12. can make nitro by gettin caster oil & methanol locally
  13. I've beaten couple of those ricer boys with my stock engine, and taught one Maruti guy the difference of 800cc & 1500cc. I think even with stock internals & hybrid ct9 you can gain 170hp+ easily.cz there's one sera who has done 4E engine conversion and he's running 173~179hp The best graph I've ever cme across for ricer hp gain.no offense kit boys!
  14. any idea about how much boost you are going to run? and your budget?
  15. Try the local method, get a cigarette, remove the paper cover & get the tobacco brew or else get a tobacco leaf from a 'bulath wita'; wet that a bit and wipe it across the windscreen,if you are not sure, first apply on a small portion on passenger side glass n see the difference.
  16. standard internals can hold up about 0.8~0.9bar,but if you want to go higher boost, recommend forged internals.
  17. 1.Cheapest is to find a used turbo, but if you can spare money on turbo,go for a brand new/hybrid turbo.really worth the extra money you pay for.so its your choice!. For piping I can recommend Sacha,he's the a guru in the field.and I personally recommend his work cz I got my turbo kit from him, very nice guy! Other bits & pieces you can visit rhdjapan,tm developments & finally ebay. 2.It's better if you can get a GT Turbo engine,so you can just swap the engine straight away,or else you'l need. # Thermostat housing # 4E-FTE sump with oil feed pick up+dip stick(dip stick is not a must, but good if you can find) # if you are planing to use the standard CT9 turbo, get the down pipe,or else go for the WEPR kit. # P/S pump, bracket # Forged internals(pistons, con rods,etc... ; if you plan to go all the way up to the ultimate EP91) # Oil filter relocater ,that's all I can remember atm, best thing is to google it or visit TGTT. 3.Depends on the boost you run, more boost=more fuel,so depends on your driving. 4.If you are planing to use 4E-FTE ECU,get the harness,or else get a piggy-back ecu, which is much easy & better.
  18. try wepr, personally can recommend their work, might cost u bit,but worth for the price
  19. since ur turbo is an oem,you should be fine with the standard turbo, but if you want the easiest method is to get a gauge, instead of a smart gauge. senior member, please share your ideas
  20. I think it have the 5E-FE engine,so engine wont be a trouble, shares most of the parts from 4E series engines. I own a sera, same era, does about 10~12km per litre.but that's relaxed driving,if you drive like a lunatic then you'l get about 8km per litre. how much is he asking, maximum should come around 8lahks to 1mil.btw whats the registration number of this vehicle,19-xxxx?
  21. the sera engine bay is very tight place to work when doing a turbo conversion.i.e: less space in between exhaust manifold & the radiator.simply its impossible to put a turbo in between with the stock turbo. 1.This is the stock radiator from that I want to go to this
  22. Don't know exactly though, went around gangodawila but found only ek3 single core radiator,I'm looking for 2 or 3core civic radiator. HELP PLEASE!
  23. guys,need a help,where can I find EG9 radiator,I'm looking for one for my turbo conversion.
