? I'm presented with many many options so "I'm not going to go with the supra" instead a chaser or mark ii with a 1JZ-GTE or a 2JZ-GTE. -

How come Rover P5Bs were never imported to SL? They were very popular in UK. -

Plus I dont think I will import a old car because of taxes and would most likely to a project build because my wallet department is quite limited? -

But the aristo never came with the Iconic Getrag 6MT instead came with a 4speed auto which would explode if it exceeded 500hp. -

I dont think the supra is a classic car and I think i would most likely do a conversion. -

The book updating is the issue I did read about converting a JZX100 with a 1JZ or a Crown with a 1JZ or a Laurel with a RB25. All of them do seem tempting. -

Yah I did dig bout the conversions but I'm a little worried that these local baases wont be able to do that much of a complicated conversion. -

Thank u soo much for your insight. I liked the supra cuz its an iconic JDM car and since I'm not one of those very rich people with very deep pockets I think I won't bringing down a supra. -

What if I make friends with one of the directors or an executive officer at the customs/port authority can I release the car without it ever making to the auction? -

The rover P5B is so beautiful. It was a very popular car in Britain so there maybe a few on the island. -

That is a risky way, and you can get the car impounded for a couple of years which is very bad. And I think a MK4 Supra RZ is a very desirable car. But I dont think a lot would try to buy the Rover P5B cuz the buyers are only looking for Corollas. -

I'm thinking of importing a car from Japan which is probably made from 1990-2000 and I'm currently a SL citizen and haven't lived abroad. Is there any Permit that I have to get and If i do how much would that permit cost. Are there any taxes involved and how much would the tax be? PS I cant get a gift permit cuz I dont have any relatives or friends abroad.

That forum was 15 yrs ago nowadays we have technology and W8 Passats are very cheap in Japan FYI Those W8 Passats in Japan are in good condition(Auction grade 4/4.5,100,000km)

Can I just suggest a psycho idea? Without doing a S4 conversion why dont you buy a 'VW Passat B5 W8 4.0' from JAPAN for around JPY 1000 and fit that engine and fix Audi S4/RS4 body panels to the A4? The A4 B5 and Passat B5 share the same platform I think.

Yes u are right but how about a 4D68 Swap(Diesal 2.0 with manual trans).

Hold on,The mark II also came with the 1JZ-GTE with 6sp manual transmission as the Tourer V trim in Japan.
