  1. hi, i guess its common to CVTs. i used to experience this in a Allion when its on slight hill. i avoid this by shifting to a lower gear. i have had similar experience with the civic 10th gen at around 29-30 speed. i had a colleague who had much more severe slip/jerk in his fit. it seems to be an issue with CVTs. i have not experience this in C180 20111/12 models.
  2. you should check out the Vezel Touring (1.5 T) which has a CVT if no budget constraints. you should be able to get a JDM from the auctions. if budgets are constrained, i guess smaller engines like the Civic sedan would be good. Vezel wins over on practicality. As KIA is doing quite well in US, Seltos is another alternative that could be considered if there are budget constrains.
  3. Regarding the battery, i would like to share my experience. the usual places that sell batteries didnt have the EFB type. Most places were trying to sell any kind of battery assuming that we drivers arent aware of battery requirements. the agents didnt have the EFB type too. Some how i was able to find a Yuasa from a shop closer to the Sugathadasa stadium, and they do these types of batteries. Other than them Panasonic by a famous supplier had been brought in but it had ran out of stock. dont expect to get these type of batteries in outstations.
  4. Thank you @Devinda_Z. the exact kind of information and insight i was looking for.
  5. break pads need to be replaced. front pads almost worn out. need to know whether anyone has used non-OEM or b***b* on their fk6s and how they perform? need to know whether there is any benefit from shifting to non-OEM break pads?
  6. has anyone used break pads other than the stock pads on their fk6?
  7. Thank you RWD. already done 31k. checked with several service providers and they confirm they have come across few units with condenser leaking issues. It seems Honda worldwide has already address this issue for newer units and provides a 10 year warranty. prices for R1234 gas ranges between 45k to 60k and the condenser ranges from 55k to 100 k. total cost is likely to be around 150k. however, my condenser has no leaks so no problem just top up the gas. as for the Audio, there has been few videos with no audio and Honda had issued a pen drive to get the 'Repro' updated. i have done all sorts of reset and non worked. i even went through the internal settings (bright+off+menu) to check. some of the local audio service providers has no clue and are afraid to deal with this. may be a software glitch. AMP shows green in the internal settings so the AMP may not be muted. still in the search of solutions.
  8. hi has anyone converted from R1234yf to R134a in their civics/fk6s? has anyone experienced any issues with the audio? like no audio but other sounds and notifications (i.e. seat belt) works well?
