tbh @AVANTE buying a 406 had a big influence in me going Peugeot.
Emphasis on "big influence" 😁😉
But yeah @GK_007, what you said is true. Majority of Peugeot owners seem to have a pug bloodline in the family. CarMart was the first car agent in all of South Asia, so I'd guess alot of people got easy access to the 203.

You should post your question in the general automotive section. Before that do search the forums using the Google search bar.
This is the wrong section.

Nothing short of impressive! Never have I been so excited by seeing a glove box before.

Subtle yet Swift: 2008 Suzuki Swift ZXi

How is the back seat space compared to other Japanese hatchbacks ?
Whats the comparison between this & K12 equipped swift in terms of driving experience?
Apologies for the late reply. Just saw this. Back seat space is fine, way better than the starlet but similar to the March K12.
I have never driven the K12 equipped swift. But I heard it's a Rev happy engine. A review by Evo India said that the 2nd Gen Swift (K12) is fun to drive and nice but is not as raw as the 1st Gen swift. It depends on the person driving I guess.

Nice writeup, lucky to own such a little fun mobile! The matte blue goes well with it. btw The G13BA is SOHC right?

Hmmm, yes... I shall go back to my cave and prepare myself for such conversations with the females.
In the meantime, have to add FD1 to my wishlist.
Also, have you made up your mind on buying your next ride?

But I agree, feeling a class above others because of the size of yours just shows you're lacking of something. It's all right to be proud of how good you take care of it though (because everybody likes a one which lasts as long as possible)
I'm an understanding enthusiast, or what would I be doing in this forum. Cars are the above mentioned materials mixed into one, but in a way that has made us dedicate our time, money and passion to them. They should keep us happy, safe, pump the adrenaline and increase the heartbeat. We can happily call ourselves car guys/petrolheads/enthusiasts, but the car itself should never be used as our main identity.
If you think you are better than others because you drive a euro SUV, then you seriously have a baby mindset or a small pee pee.
Btw, Krabby Patty is a burger, not a sandwich neh??

Actually this was a whole ago, my wife had an exam, so I was parked beside a road in Colombo, in no way was I blocking any path, i was parked in the main road, adjacent to his entrance to the main road besides what can a tiny car like this block, well, so a fella in a Range Rover came from a private road exiting to the main road and made a scene, with specific references to the car being small blah blah, his being big and wide,
Thereafter gradually phased out both my keis as there is no point being smart and trying to commute efficiently in a country like this. As numerous stunts from buses and lorries and noobs in suvs, on a daily run will one day end up with some accident.
Like my old uncle used to say, find the largest lump of metal between you and the car or tree you are going to crash with.
In the end, a car is just rubber, metal, leather, plastic and glass all mixed into one (extra plastic in the case of Chinese cars). It shouldn't make us feel a class above others. Wish more people understood this.
But it seems there's no point in being Gandhi with the average srilankan. Just have to be safe ourselves.

Im betting its a new money euro car buyer. The ones who used to drive wine red gold batch POS cars untill the germans went 1.0 3cyl.
Lots of douchebags driving german now. Taxes changed things alot!
Imagine if it was an X1, the guy talks trash on tivs Mira, puts on his pitakotuwa Ray bans, shrugs and stomps the accelerator only to find out the timing chain has wrecked havoc on the motor lmao.
By douchebags.. You mean the guys who think their Odi A1 is the sickest. car in the streets because it got rings on the grill?

PS. The Red FD1 got the jangis down or lankets,if ur into that too. Im not judging ?
I swear I was checking out some FD4s on the adsites when I heard the notification bell. I'd love a Euro Sedan any day (406, Jetta MK5, E46, W124, you name it). It's just that maintaining one from our area is a bit of an exercise. For now, we have to stick to japs, not like that's a bad thing. Also, I'd say any econobox is in vain for us Kanda uda guys. 1.15 hours and that too without a fine? I'm seriously impressed. FD1s seem like a bargain now, maybe because of the 1.8 that disappoints the Thel worshippers.
For now I'll stick to jangis. Easier to get away trouble-free & complaint free. Not like I can attract lankets in a honda anyway.

One such time we were badly harassed by a c*nt in a European suv, given the fact I owned and have owned a plethora of large suvs that was a moral turning point and we gave it away thereafter.
What was that about?

Good writeup bro. Im guessing you already sold the car? Cos the buyer gonna be looking at a jap manual now ?
Suzuki's and heat love each other it seems. We had an every at one point and can confirm. Maybe that's why the drug dealers prefer them, cause they get hot and keep you warm when you are chilling high on some ice. Wonder how the new Suzuki K-series engines deal with heat.
The buyer bought it as an upgrade from a 2016 Alto and he praised the car to the point I realize it's in good hands. Atleast they don't fall apart like an Alfa ?

You have posted your question in the wrong section sir. For second hand prices, search adsites and ask your nearest broker.

Well written review! Good to know about Jevic too!
As for the car, the Vitz along with the Suzuki Every (Bomb/Cartel van) have to be the most MEH cars i have ever been in. But I like the look of the 2020 Hybrid Yaris, even the interior is rad! Also, would like to know more about that GR here! Also when you mention 'burns some oil after 50k'..I can't help but think why are people so boring and why they buy such vehicles when options like the Fit GP1, Demio, Mazda2, Fiesta, etc.. are available with similar reliability but better driving quality.

Yes mostly outstation runs and early morning week end drives.
A 1.4L Swift will have the same tax as a Audi Q3/A4/A5 so who would want to get one
The reason I went with the Corolla was the 1.2L engine and I only had to pay Rs. 265K over the permit so it made sense. I basically I paid only for the car. As no one from SL was interested I got the car for around Yen 1 Mn. less than what it would have cost new. It was used with 6k on the cock auction grade 5.
Oh, that sucks for the swift. Such a handsome car with loads of options & tuning potential/reliability. Wish to see a review on your corolla!
Also I think you meant 'clock'

Wait..So what's the Macan's role now? Larger family hauler?
Also a bit biased here, but I don't understand why no one is importing the new swift sport 1.4 turbo? It's a real quick grocery getter so it's a bit surprising there aren't any.. Or are there any in the island that I'm unaware of?
-
Such a sweet (and cute) car, the looks are nice IMO and yeah, the attention part is true! Good to learn about the off-road capability & LED lights. Should have also seen the commercials they played in japan for this car. They even have anime-like ads for it!
One question: can you emphasize on parts rarity? Like are headlights thaaat rare? Also does the wagonR share ALOT of mechanicals or is it just the hybrid system?
-
@kush didn't know we had the newer corollas here, that too the sport version! Would like to see a review on that corolla and the Macan too!?

Apart from the recent rat attack on the wiring, the 406 has been running well so I may as well not jinx it with black magic lol.
