Bought my car 2 weeks back and in desperate need to apply some protection to the inner door step panel (where footwear can easily scratch off - the plastic area - image attached) 3M transparent film costs 9800 for them to apply it for all 4 inner doorstep panels only ( not other upholstery) Am I the only one who think it's too costly.? What level of temperature normal car engines get heat up to ? 95°C ? How about the engine running at 20-40 km/h and 60 km- 100 km/h or more ?... (just wondering).

Thanks for comment, btw is it the time taken for oil to reach all parts of the engine or coolant to absorb the heat of the engine... Or both ?

My car dashboard indicates this temperature sign in blue even after the engine is somewhat warmed up. After I start driving for about 1.5 minute only it goes off. Can this happen even in this hot climate?

Engine breaking helps saving breaking machanism in our vehicles thus improving its life. Also engine breaking has its advantages when traveling downhills and slopes. My question, is there any benefit in doing this (engine breaking) while traveling in heavy traffic.?? (as the chances are high where you need to depress brakes padels more often)?? I have got a relatively new toyota Vitz (KSP130) 2016 couple of days ago and was wondering what grade of fuel should I use... I know obviously higher the grade higher the quality so octane 95 is more appropriate. My question to you all is.... Will there be any major consequence of using 92. Also, just need to know whether there is any unusual noise generated by the engine in Vitz as its 1000cc. I got few people telling me this - any validity here. ? By Vitz i meant 2016 and 2015 in particular.
