Bought my car 2 weeks back and in desperate need to apply some protection to the inner door step panel (where footwear can easily scratch off - the plastic area - image attached)
3M transparent film costs 9800 for them to apply it for all 4 inner doorstep panels only ( not other upholstery)
Am I the only one who think it's too costly.?

Coolant is under pressure, so it can take more heat than when the liquid is under atmospheric pressure. A general range under normal operating temperature would be something between 90C and just above 100C.

My car dashboard indicates this temperature sign in blue even after the engine is somewhat warmed up. After I start driving for about 1.5 minute only it goes off.
Can this happen even in this hot climate? -
Engine breaking helps saving breaking machanism in our vehicles thus improving its life. Also engine breaking has its advantages when traveling downhills and slopes.
My question, is there any benefit in doing this (engine breaking) while traveling in heavy traffic.?? (as the chances are high where you need to depress brakes padels more often)??

Thanks for the feedbackI also don't think there are major consequences or major benefits/advantages of either one. But to be frank, I put 95 in my 2016 Vitz because I kind of inherited my father's using of octane 95 in his car. It may be cleaner. And I get average per litre readings. It doesn't effect your fuel economy as far as I know.

I have got a relatively new toyota Vitz (KSP130) 2016 couple of days ago and was wondering what grade of fuel should I use...
I know obviously higher the grade higher the quality so octane 95 is more appropriate.
My question to you all is.... Will there be any major consequence of using 92.
Would appreciate a technical answer.. [emoji4]

The KSP 130 is the 1000 CC 3 Cylinder version. NSP 130 is the 1300 CC version with 4 cylinders and is quiter, more powerful and smoother. However due to the tax structure very few NSP 130's are imported since you're paying a huge Tax. There are a few 2011-2012 NSP 130's around. SCP90 was the previous version 1300 CC model (upto 2011)
P.S : Just go through this and you will get an understanding on the various models etc

Thanks [emoji4].Being a 3 cylinder engine Yes it is a bit noisy and has a bit of vibration this is normal with most 3pot engines.
The other varient of this SCP30 or something has 4 cylinder I believe. This is widely available??

Also, just need to know whether there is any unusual noise generated by the engine in Vitz as its 1000cc. I got few people telling me this - any validity here. ? By Vitz i meant 2016 and 2015 in particular.

What would be the best option. Below is my travel pattern.
Monthly travel distance - 700km (maximum)
- daily office route (10km up & down)
- Colombo to Makola twice a month (90 km)
- Misc. trips (short ones)
- Once in 6 months (Kandy)
Option 1
I know that all the Aquas 2014 our there is needing battery replacement in no time even if the reports indicate 95+ capacity. Let's say I planned to find a low mileage (40000-50000 km) one with a decent battery....
Option 2
Vitz 2015/16 is the other recommended option. I know that the fuel economy is not so great. But at least it's a from a recent year (2016) and I don't mind the compact look as it's a bit smaller compared to an Aqua. Suppose I can find a low mileage 2016 one with good maintenance.
In any case I'll be selling whichever car in next 3.5 years. So considering the whole life time usage whatdo you guys think I should be looking at??

Guys, I own a vios 2003 car and just want to know how much should I use when mixing a good coolant (hope you could recommend one too).
