  1. Hi Tiv - thank you! Getting seatbelts shouldn't be an issue I think, as I can order parts from the USA. Hopefully can get off work today in time to view a jeep or two. Appreciate your help!
  2. Hello, and please pardon any ignorance on my part. I've been searching for a vehicle to buy, particularly one of the many older jeeps I've seen. I'm searching for one that I can buckle 2 kid car seats into (so a bench back seat is a requirement of mine), but many of these vehicles do not seem to have seatbelts installed. Does anyone have any ideas as to how much a seatbelt installation would run? More importantly - does anyone have a recommended shop who would do this the right way (ie: ensuring the mounting points were secure, or reinforce as necessary)? I live in Colombo 05 if that helps, thanks everyone!
  3. Yes, I also picked up on this - quite a nuisance!
  4. I was suggesting the price was too low (just my opinion at the time given the jeeps I've seen on ######), but actually at least one was certainly legitimate as he responded to my text. So, the search continues! Thank you for the clarification!
  5. Hello everyone! I'm moving to Sri Lanka (Colombo) in 1 week, and hoping to have a starter vehicle picked out as soon as possible. I have found many interesting vehicles! However, I'm truly confused if these are all scams, or if there is some possibility of truth to perhaps some of these ads. I've also emailed a few car owners on ###### - but I'm not having much luck with email on that website. 1. 2013 landcruiser - $1,600,000: obviously a scam (this ad makes me think I'm calibrated to detect scams) 2. 1969 Mitsubishi Jeep - $1,060,000: Still seems like a scam? Or maybe not? Now I'm getting confused 3 . 1980 Daihatsu F50 - $1,220,000: okay, now I'm really confused. Seems like this would be listed for more on ######, but maybe I'm just wrong? Nah, still pretty sure it's a scam. Anyhow, i guess my point is: Is there a better way to search to eliminate all the false ads without having to see all the fakes? Or is the ###### website a bit better? Appreciate any advice offered
