  1. Some eye candy (both competitor and spectator cars)
  2. Some pics taken on the day... https://www.facebook.com/Silverracer/media_set?set=a.10151550679876493.1073741832.616931492&type=1
  3. Eh? This particular pic was taken in the 90s during a stop-over at a SLARDAR rally. I took a digital pic (the acutal pic above) of the original pic... The "stickers" were the racing livery.
  4. Pretty sure its Nissan that they race in the modified up to 1350 event...
  5. Haha, I once was. Sadly not any more, simply don't have the time to dedicate for hours on the "track". Iracing probably got everything that you want - but however you do need very deep pockets! http://www.iracing.com - the tracks makes my eyes water. LFS is sadly aging and its got limited content (most of it is fictitious). But its relatively cheap(er) and will provide you without hours and hours of fun. Its great fun even with the mouse/keyboard. IMO, its pretty realistic. Singleplayer ain't as fun (the AI can do with the bit more AI), but all the fun lies in the online racing scene. Another to keep you eyes on is Asserto Corsahttp://www.assettocorsa.net/en/) and project cars (http://www.wmdportal.com/projects/cars/).
  6. Live for Speed and G27 (Logitech Momo, then G25 and finally a G27). Oh the countless hours I've spent on that sim. I've tried Iracing, but to me, there is something quite disconcerting about that sim. Never felt quite at home as LFS... Quite a fan of the SIMBIN stuff too. K9M - what's your LFS ID?
  7. Whats this red Vios in question? A link would help!
  8. Unfortunately they'll blow up others in the vicinity as well! :x
  9. Ah, it was an ex-military vehicle. For those cars there isn't an alternative other than getting an EA plate, right? IMO (silly as it might be), I think the registration is part of vehicle itself. Few decades down the line it would be great to see a car that you used to own running around - for most part, its likely to be recognized by the registration (unless it was a rare vehicle in SL). Changing the plates from say 300- to EA simply isn't something that I would go for if I was offered... By the way, what's the Merc? A W140?
  10. Hi, if you don't mind me asking - what were your reasons behind getting an EA number?
  11. Good stuff! Too bad that you had to let her go
  12. Some cars have a feature (I've noticed it in European cars, others might have it too) where the indicator stalk can be gently nudged so that left/right indicators will illuminate three times (I think its called three ticks). The indicator stalk needs to be pushed quite a bit to activate the steady turn signal, but a gentle nudge will activate the three ticks which is great for lane change indication.
  13. I've got a simlar question to that of the OP. A friend of mine has owned a brand new car (YOM 2007) for the last 4+ years, in the UK. What are the options of sending/brining it to Sri Lanka? Sadly, since the gift permits are halted - that option is out. And since only used cars within 1 (2?) year from YOM can be imported, is there no way to bring in this car? If my friend does return to Sri Lanka, is it possible for him to bring the car for personal use? What sort of proceedure is involved? Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you.
