sorry, I couldn't use the car that much in the last couple of weeks. with the injector cleaner the problem is 80% solved and im sure it will despair with the next refilling and octane booster. Anyway, will let you know the outcome in the near future.

@ Malith - I have ordered some LED's from ebay(both Hi and Low beams). Will let you know the outcome when I get them.

Eight months back I was in the same boat as you ? my rear suspension was very noisy/kind of loud knocking when it hits a sharp edge. Specially the left side. It disappeared with time.

@ajm, With experience he concluded that this is related to fuel and the best thing is to go with injector cleaner and octane booster. He is clamming that our fuel is contaminated and most of 1L turbo heavy vehicles suffer with miner power lags. Before inspecting the fuel filter and pump he asked me to try this out.

@RWD, Sure will let you know the outcome, The car was inspected by Mr.Lal Allawattha today. He concluded it as a power lag and asked me to use an injector cleaner and then an octane booster. Based on the outcome, filter, pump etc will be checked. Fingers crossed...….

This is normal. My SR had the same rough noise when it is new. But it went a way with time. It took about 6 months to disappear.

@Davy, yes Stafford did the scanning and no codes found. I think I should change the fuel filter and see. This is annoying me. I did a test run today and got to know that if I accelerate the car slowly(very low RPM's) or in high RPM's (2200-2500) very rarely it appears. However, it mostly appear with moderate pickups(1700-2000). also I notice that the throttle response is very slow when this problem appears.

Yes I do, 95 was the only used. oil level is fine as well. But i didn't check the air filter since the car is new 4000km on clock. I also change the petrol station as well ?

Hi All, did anyone experience engine knocking in civic SR? this happens with my car frequently specially when I pick up or accelerate to overtake vehicles. This happens on and off however, it despairs when turbo start working. Stafford couldn’t rectify the issue but told me bunch of civic turned in with the same symptom. I appreciate your valuable comments/suggestions on this matter please.

Civic is horrible when it comes to power. Pulling power is very poor. I have been using a SR 1000 hatch for last 5 months and very unsatisfied with its engine power and comfort. Went to Kandy twise and suffered badly at kaduganawa since the car was crying with lack of power. Any way SR got bunch of features available.

You need cellular data to run Android Auto. But gamin player no need any data activation.

I mange to install it in my Civic 2018 SR UK 1000cc hatchback. I just follow the method suggested by Hungry Minder. It works very well. Thumbs up for Hungry Minder who helped me over the phone as well.

Thanks a lot Hungry Minder!! what you mentioned is true. It fools the system and let me install the SL map. Maps works pretty good. I love the feature that shows nearby restaurants, petrol stations etc :-) Thanks a lot and I appreciate your help and support very much. Keep up the good work!!

Hi All, I'm using a 1000cc Civic Hatchback 2018 SR. I do update my Gamin navigator using the method you guys mentioned. Everything went well and I managed to update maps with Garmin version 2018.0. However, this system updates only European maps. I think the system in my vehicle is locked for European maps only. Any idea of overcoming this issue. I appreciate your comments/suggestions very much. Best, Lasantha

I have been using my 2018 SR for 3 months. Fuel consumption was decent for example colombo kandy uphill was 13.5kml, and way back 14.5kml. Colombo gampaha without traffic 16+. The entire ride was done with normal mode i.e eco off. in traffic 9-10 is max

I have been using 2018 SR for two months and have no major complains. Their is a little delay in response when it comes to acceleration. However, I did not rave the thing as it is brand new. I do feel that the car is little heavy, and the engine is little noisy because of the turbo charger. Gas consumption is pretty good as in traffic it is 9-12.5(normal & eco off). I recently went to Gampaha and it was 16+ per litter with two passengers including driver and climate control ON. Auto braking is a little headache as it push brakes unexpectedly. Apart from that nothing major. Car looks good and perform good.
