  1. Thanks all for the feedbacks. Really appreciate. Sorry I couldn't reply sooner. Had a quite a busy month. Current situation : During last few weeks went to check more than a dozen of pajs. And now I m about to give up the hunt. Learn't some hard lessons about SL market though. For most of the jeeps its a total mystery when it comes to the history of the vehicle. Most of them were bought from Police auctions and then fitted with a new body. One was there which had it's roof cut and flatten so it looks like an intercooler but not a Computer anymore?(Don't know if this is legal). One had 12 f**ing owners before the current one. And even the one who is using it now and offerred to sell is having it with open papers from the previous. Couple of days after I've been at this car sale to check a paj which was posted online, Car sale owner called me(He asked a lot of qs while I was at his sale and hence he knew my profession) and told if I'd show him how to use eeprom programmer(he already had one) for both smds and typical ics to update mileage of vehicles, he'll give me a discount of 2.5 lakhs for the pajero.(I declined) And to make my quest awesome, there was this guy who claimed that he can arrange me one by cutting a SWB chassis(short wheel base) pajero in half, weld and extending it to make a LWB and then fitting a LWB body for an extemely cheaper cost. !! (is that ??....,don't knw what to ask) Now I'm bit tired of pajeros and having some thought about going for a Rexton(2008) for 4 mil Still i belive in its reputation and I'd go for it if I can find a reliable one.
  2. Some feedback on the latter part of the question is much appreciated..
  3. Wasn't sure about the policy regarding posting pics from 3rd party in here. You'll find a white pajero of model in the question in this thread. Its the one used by police. Having 61-xxxx plates
  4. No sorry. its pajero 1992 model. Computer body is a term used by traders. Which came before intercooler
  5. Hi all, My first question on AL, so if theres anything wrong in the manner this was raised just let me know. I'm planning to buy my first vehicle. After some search and following up on relevant AL threads here I am. my budget is 3 - 3.5 ml and Im looking for a 7 seater. preferebly a 4x4.(I've been driving a navara 2008 which belongs to my father and love it) though not a hardcore offroad driver After a bit of a search my options were pajero palathsaba(1989) and computer body(61-xxxx) models. Eventhough palathsaba has its reputation and being my choice, due to some feminine impacts now I'm considering about computer body. I'll be travelling from colombo to matara and return every weekend, and upcountry once a month with at least 5 seats occupied. Need some advice from anyone who has experience/knowledge in there. What I should check when buying one, Is it reliable, fuel figures(ain't expecting much, just to understand what Im getting in to) spare parts availability, Planning to keep it for at least for 3 years. Anything I should know before spending hard earned money.. Please let me know if I missed any other option in that price range as well. (No sir, I cannot stretch bit more. 3.5 ml is stretched)
