  1. Just out of curiosity, 1. How many RX-7's in Sri lanka ? 2. How may Nissan GTR R34's out there? 3. How many Toyota Supra's ? 4. What about legit Evolution 9 (non-converted)? I remember back in early 2000's when I was just an observer in Autolanka the forum was telling stories about dilan's Black RX7, Tharindu's silver supra and of course Andrew's white Skyline R34. What happened to those? If I am not mistaken at those times guys were going crazy over Fast and furious and NFS underground so the night street racing established and started to grow Sri lanka. Any thoughts?
  2. @Hyaenidae= I always think to myself ohh “Hyundai” has responded.??
  3. @trinity helpful information and thanks for sharing the interesting story. Glad you sorted this out. About the spare cv joint I think you had better keep it at your disposal just in case. Also CV axel for 170k at unimo? That’s just ridiculous IMO. Remember in my case they quoted 32k for just one tiny ABS sensor.
  4. @ramishkad I got mine done at “Perera wheel alignment center” in battaramulla. My experience was pretty much positive with them as the wheel alignment operator knew exactly what he was doing and he took his time to complete the job.
  5. Clean AF. That also looks dapper. I think we are corrupting our own minds. Might end up switching to aftermarket taillights eventually. ?
  6. I too believe this looks better than the earlier taillights
  7. I have a pic of previous owner removing the aftermarket back lights and putting the stock ones back in (could be due to a damage). So I believe he sold the aftermarket taillights along with the Vortex generator. Honestly I think the stock one looks better. It really pops out the back.
  8. Yeah machan. It's been almost a year since I married her.?
  9. LANCER EX- Life before me Found an awesome set of old clicks of my lancer courtesy of my good friend Elnino. It seems she had quite an eventful life before settling down with me in my remote village. Thought of sharing some pics to have a glimpse of her past.
  10. Could be a legitimate GTR lover.?obviously he can’t afford the GTR so he’s living the dream with his tuk tuk.??
  11. FYI, evo x needs octane 98. Which means having to top up the tank always with 95+ octane booster. Wonder how those evo x’s are running in Sri Lanka. Cause I have seen 3 final editions and a handful of GSRs
  12. Greetings gents, So I got my ABS issue sorted today. It took longer than I expected as the package got caught in the Christmas season rush. Finally the sensor arrived last week and got it fixed at my local mechanic. A very big thanks to @Hyaenidae for finding this sensor online. And also @trinity for your valuable advices as always. If it wasn’t for you guys I would have spent a thumping amount for a tiny sensor. So the timeline of finding the sensor Unimo- quoted 32k Place in pitakotte-25k Place in panadura-15k Ebay-6k (with shipping) Finally took a risk and settled with eBay seller for an OEM sensor ( Mitsubishi part no- 4670A576) and have to say that the risk payed off. No more ABS indicators and ABS kicks in as expected. Happy happy..Managed to grab some pics.
  13. Yes. Potenza is their top of the line performance tyres. when I was tire hunting for my lancer Autodrome (The agent for Bridgestone in SL) confirmed that they do not bring down the Japanese versions due to higher cost involved. So typically you will find only Thai versions in SL. However the Potenza's they have are of Japanese versions. I did not go with them due to unbearable cost involved hence settled with Nankang NS20 sport tyres.
  14. Bridgestone has a reputation of wearing out quickly under Sri lankan conditions. Maybe these are not the original Japanese ones they are importing. However My car Had bridgestone potenza (Japan made) set of tyres which has held up nicely after 4 years. I am still keeping them as a spare in case of emergency.
  15. ha ha ha, Nevertheless It is still a Legit EVO x. So I would not mind throwing my money at it if I am loaded.
  16. Lancer Evo X ENDless Limited editon Hmm first time hearing this??. IF I am not mistaken this is an Evolution GSR.
  17. HAHA imagine if the Co driver uses "Sudda Sinhalese" Language
  18. Thanks for the advice Machan. From what I have learned so far Car has been running with 15W40 for almost 7 years. So I believe changing the viscosity suddenly will create unnecessary issues in the long run(at least in my mind paranoia will kick the best out of me) so yeah let’s see what the UNIMO people has to say
  19. Shout out if you admire Ken Block's driving skills.
  20. Happy 2020 to All the Autolanka Members. Many things learned here in 2019 and hoping to learn more in 2020. Good cars, Good vibes, Happy motoring.
  21. @iRage Car looks incredible.I can't fathom how pleasurable would it be to drive something old school like this compared to modern Mundane Toyotas we see on the Road today.
