  1. Update: Figured it out. 1) Hold both plastic knobs down at the same time to change the time 2) Twisting the right knob to change the value 3) Press the right knob to set the value Video below is of a different model but its done the same way. Cheers!
  2. Update: the plastic knob on the right can be used to select menus items. Still not sure how to reset the time though.
  3. Sorry to reopen this thread but how do navigate the settings page? I have got it open by holding down the INFO button on the steering wheel, however neither of the up/down switches is working for me. I think this might be because I just got a head unit installed that maps on to these buttons. Either way it would be great if you could clear that up for me as I might have to visit them again to rewire my buttons.
  4. I currently have a somewhat basic Kia Sorento from 2014 which I am planning on replacing with a newer SUV (probably a crossover). Due to the lack of a sun roof, 4WD and an extra set of seats in the back, and 100k on the odometer, I assume the sale price would be in the range of 7 to 8 million. I am looking to replace it with a newer vehicle, and would appreciate your recommendations. I have checked out the Toyota CH R 2017 (worrying reviews) or a few years older HONDA CR-V. Or would it be better to stretch the budget further (up to another 1m) and consider something like the Audi Q2 or a newer CR-V.
  5. As far as I'm aware the full hybrid version is not available in an RS variant (I may be wrong here). Perhaps this is why we don't see it here in SL (the non RS trim is not as pretty) aside from the much higher factory price. Speaking to the car sales guys, I was told that the mild hybrid is only slightly more fuel efficient (as low as 2 km/L) than the turbo variant. So I'd certainly say go for the full hybrid if you actually worry about fuel efficiency.
  6. I test drove both versions (RST and the mild hybrid) here in SL, back to back, and didn't notice any bad vibrations in either version.
  7. Oh, that's pretty cool! Based on current yen and tax rates, what is the price of the mild RS version in LKR (without importers cut of course). I'm asking because I see prices ranging from 4.6 to 5.1 in the lankan market.
  8. If there is no real way for us to check if the car is directly from the store vs from an auction, we are going to have to rely entirely on blind faith that the importer is not lying to you.
  9. Thanks a lot for the reply! You have mentioned 1.0L gasoline having variants. Any idea what are the different variants? And any idea about the approximate mileage of these versions? I've seen the Rs mild displays showing only 10km/l which seems pretty low to me.
  10. Thanks for the response. Your RS model is a partial hybrid if I'm not mistaken? This can be identified as follows: light blue hybrid logo = partial hybrid, dark blue logo = full hybrid. I would assume the full hybrid would do a lot more than this.
  11. Thank you! This is pretty neat. So it shows the efficiency as 9.1km/l. Is this because the engine is still very new?
  12. Looking to buy a Swift RS Hybrid (2017) but the price range between importers is very drastic. There are importers claiming to be able to get it down for 4.6 million, while others are sticking to 5 million saying the cheaper guys are a scam. Does anyone know what the actual price of this vehicle is, post Nov 2017 tax? The local car sales values range from 5.1 to 5.4 million. Mind you, this is all for the same, fully featured (with safety package) car.
  13. In terms of resale value, how much more value will something like the Vitz hold as opposed to the Swift RS? For a 0.6 million price gap, would it be better to go for the hybrid option in terms of resale value, 2 years down the line?
  14. I am on the lookout for a new ride in the 4 to 4.5 mill range. The Suzuki Swift 2017 has a 1.0L turbo engine so will be much more pleasurable to drive. For around 4.2 million I believe you can get the entire safety package with cruise control as well. Is this vehicle manufactured in Japan or India? From my understanding both the RST and RS models are manufactured in Japan. The Vitz on the other hand will hold its value better, possible easier on the maintenance side. But the current Vitz is the 2016 model, with no new model released this year. So is there a possibility of a new model next year? This also begs the question, is it worth spending a little more (close to 8 laks) for a Swift RS model. This can be had for around 4.8 million without cruise control and the safety package. If I am upgrading it would be mainly for resale value a year or two down the line. Is it something worth considering?
