As an Engineer, do you recommend replacing hi-voltage electronics parts with used units? how can you guarantee that this type of maka-baas engineering would be suitable/safe for the end user?

Well it's not only the recycling issue. This model has a design issue causing the battery to fail prematurely in continuos hot climates. There is even a lawsuit against Nissan filed by Leaf owners in Texas.
