usually COOP never approve full claim povided by assessor before doing the repair. In my case, after doing the repair and providing the bill, they cut off about 20% further! Never again COOP.

Spot on, can't help feeling hopeless when people recommend premios, priass and axios to euro car drivers (although they might be sensible considering our country specific factors like spare parts, mechanics etc ?)

Toyota C-HR - Problem in Fuel Injectors (GDI)
vag2 replied to gayanath's topic in General Automotive
They are a different league aren't they? Not exactly the downsized engines with direct injection operating above 300bar that you get in the CHR etc, where the stress on the components must be higher.- 73 replies

Vehicle importers fear collapse of industry following ban
vag2 replied to Skyonline's topic in General Automotive
Well it's not easy to officially bring any vehicle to SL just like the grey importers. Country specific compatibility studies are required by the manufacturer to confirm that the new technologies will function properly in SL conditions while fulfilling other legal and safety requirements. Our market is very small and I doubt if the manufacturer is willing to bother. -

Which Nissan X-trail to buy ? Petrol or Clean Diesel..
vag2 replied to bpbrajapaksha's question in Car Buying Information
Diesel makes sense if you want to tow heavy loads(hybrid lags way behind providing continuos high torque) and drive long distances on highway ( fuel efficiency and lower litre price for regular diesel)- 18 replies

Which Nissan X-trail to buy ? Petrol or Clean Diesel..
vag2 replied to bpbrajapaksha's question in Car Buying Information
It was an attempt to bring back diesel engines to the local passenger car segment in Japan after 10years. Marketed as clean diesel with German common rail injection technology. However it was not popular, since Japanese prefer petrol engines and don't usually travel long distances like in Europe where diesels provide better fuel economy. I think Nissan discontinued production after a while, therefore engine spare parts might be hard to find in the recondition/ used market.- 18 replies

Convert Your Classic to Electric Power Assist Steering
vag2 replied to dayanpad's topic in General Automotive
Anyone got experience with hydraulic-electric power steering swap? It the intermediate technology between fully mechanical and fully electrical power steering. You get to keep the same oil system, rack etc. Only difference that the oil pressure is generated by an electric pump activated at low speeds, instead of constant running mechanical pump. The only thing I like about my Peugeot 407, it's smooth like a hydraulic system but still quiet, efficient and easy to maintain. -
Imagine the pain of waiting 5years for a permit to show off to others only to find out it has become a useless paper only worth rolling up his @$S.
-
what is the price? the Injection system is German. But not sure about spare parts availability. At least should be a solid AT gearbox, no DCT worries there.

Clutch could be a reason as you said. Maybe the oil has lost viscosity. is it difficult with a particular gear? then the synchro wheel of that gear in Gearbox is worn out (unlikely with this mileage, but depends on previous oil change history)
