  1. It's not so much phat as it's long... She reminds me of cars turned ute in Australia, like the Vauxhall VXR8 turned Maloo. Nonetheless, definitely a stunner - her fuel economy surely would, if not her grandeur look.
  2. That looks like a 30-pin connector. If that's the case you can buy any used ipod/iphone from 1st gen to 4th gen - costs like 2k-10k from what I've seen. Look 'em up on I*man and Facebook
  3. Confrickingratulations, you have outdone yourself this time! Just from the pictures I can tell that this is a car that has been properly taken care of. I just can't get over how long that big white booty is... I think I'm ruined for modern era sedans for the rest of my life. Imma call 'em hatchbacks from now on.
  4. I'd try a Sorento @hrm , hows the Sorento runnin' ?

  6. Vehicle make, model and year would be of use for members to better help you
  7. That shite brings out memories-dark ones. Fell off the first day I tried it on my dash and then I replaced the shitty double sided tape it came with with some 3M VHB, lasted about a month, fell off while I was cruising on the frigging highway! I have no idea how that happened, it's not like there were potholes or sharp curves but it still managed to fall off. Obviously couldn't pick the phone back up while driving so had to exit from the next exit point because without GPS I had no idea which exit I should take to my destination Maybe my dashboard is too plasticky so normal sticky doesn't work. IDK.
  8. Needing a phone is a dealbreaker - I was thinking, how convenient it would be if all you have to do once you're inside your car is opening the torque app and voila! there it is! 1. Yeah yeah, I'm sure you have no idea what the torque app is! [eyeroll] 2. Any mount I use keeps falling off how hard I try - I've even tried 3M VHB tape and it still fell off! Maybe it would work in a BMW or MB you poor blokes drive - but they haven't invented a mount that can withstand the Lancer with its suspension as soft as Johnny Sins' wang coupled with my driving as refined as 92 octane petrol they pump at Sri Lankan petrol sheds these days
  9. I was thinking I might try the installation myself - I mean, I would've considered a Kenwood/Pioneer/Alpine if there was a model which ran on Android instead of their proprietary OS - I'm planning to keep my OBD scanner plugged in, connect it with the HU and run torque. You can't do that with any of the branded HUs without a smartphone afaik
  10. Hello! I'm in the same boat, although the unit I'm going to bring down is much cheaper, around 250USD. If you have USD saved in wise/payoneer/paypal or a foreign savings account you'll have no issue; otherwise, $ payments are limited to 75k LKR/week for debit cards and 150k LKR/week for credit cards. You'll have to contact your bank first if you want to pay from your LKR account. About taxes, if you ship it via EMS you'll be able to lower the tax amount when you clear your parcel from the foreign parcel counter; couriers like dhl/fedex/aramex will handle the tax procedure for you and deliver it to your doorstep but you'll most probably have to pay the full tax amount. I was told tax percentage for car HUs is about 7.5%
  11. Oof, the temptation... Shipping cost makes me eyes water tho
  12. Awesome, do they offer any other android headunits that are compatible with Lancers? What's the make and model of the HU you bought? Imma mention "that blue Lancer guy" who recommended them to me if I get one installed from them 😁
  13. Thankfully my set of filters hitchhiked with a shipment of laptops from US so there weren't any added shipment costs 😁 $20 for the cabin filter and $19 for the engine filter, both OEM
  14. How much was it? I purchased an original 7803A004 from US for $20
  15. Looks killer, did you brought it down yourself and got it installed? If yes, can you share your installers' info? did they do a good job?
  16. So fuel economy figures are almost same with 92+octane boosters. Did my first long distance trip to Kandy from Kurunegala after switching to 92, Avg FE is 14ish kmpl according to tank refill method, 13.8kmpl according to trip computer which is about same what I used to get from 95 octane - this is under spirited driving too, avg speed is 50kmph
  17. Nah it's being sold it UAE too apparently. I'm sure it'll work in Sri Lanka too 😅
  18. Nothing at all to be honest 😅 Manufacturer recommends 95, but mentions the car won't complain unless you go under 90 RON
  19. Switched to 92 octane + octane boosters Octane booster cost : Rs.1500ish 95 octane cost : Rs.1800 more per tank
  20. What if the previous owner is Rasputin
