Do dreams come true? = YES (Bought a lancer ex)
Hyaenidae replied to K.o.N.o.S's topic in General Automotive
Well the sensor is advertised on the quick site for 7.5k - they say it's brand new OEM "quality" so probably not OEM. How much does it cost at the agent @K.o.N.o.S?- 233 replies

Nissan Tiida 2008 strange power steering malfunction
Hyaenidae replied to Casanova's question in Mechanical problems
According to the workshop manual (of the Lancer), it's not the EPS errors you should be looking at; the agent can check if the system is deliberately limiting the steering assist by checking the EPS ECU data against the values mentioned in the workshop manual using their proprietary scan tools, just like @Davy said. Then they'll be able to determine for sure if the EPS system is overheating for some reason.- 24 replies

Nissan Tiida 2008 strange power steering malfunction
Hyaenidae replied to Casanova's question in Mechanical problems
So I did some googling and it sounds like your EPS motor is overheating. https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1285053 Try doing some "dry steering" (turning the steering while the vehicle is stationary) multiple times and see if you lose the eps assist. The workshop manual of my car (Lancer) says:- 24 replies

If there are any tar marks those would be quite old, I haven't done a tar removal for about 2 years, figured it's time to look for any spots and get rid of them

I'm going to look for tar marks and remove if there are any on the coming holidays, I used to use WD40 (got big ass pick-up/rally mud flaps installed which stopped me from cleaning glaringly visible tar marks every week!) but I've run out rn, have to buy a can before washing the car or will have to use Kerosene

I don't think 7 months of using water would cause rust that would cause clogging or leaks, just flush the radiator out and fill it with coolant

A**o F***e parts and service charges
Hyaenidae replied to Monkey King Stu's topic in General Automotive
When you say "EPS rack repair", it could be either tightning a loose nut [5min work] or a 8-hour repair so I don't think anyone would be able to say if the their charges seem reasonable or not. If you want to compare you could try comparing their hourly rate with the agents rates... -
Toyota axio 2008 jerks when pressing accelerator
Hyaenidae replied to RandikaPM's question in Mechanical problems
Jerks are kinda normal on CVT boxes, you tend to notice them more if you're coming from a 4AT... but if this is a recent development it's cause for concern. Could you post a video clip like @iRage asked? -

IDK about mazda agents in Kurunegala but there was a real nice looking CS3 2011 for 2.7mil on the quick site, posted 3 days ago, if you're still open to consider another car go check it out. Its authorized agent UNIMO has workshops islandwide including Kurunegala.
