  1. Gentlemen, After an unsuccessful hunt for a good Petrol V8, now i have set my eyes upon getting myself an LC4 or LC5 I hear a lot of rumors discouraging people from getting in to the LC4 / LC5 sighting issues in the fuel system / DPF etc as against the JDM & Export models bought down from the company. 1) If any LC4 or LC5 users could assist me by specifying the things i should be aware of , or concerns in going for LC4 or LC5, 2) My current ride is a mint Mitsu Montero 2013 DiD GLX with only 83K on the ODO (used right thru-out and maintained at UNIMO), and whether its worth the swap? Thanks
  2. Hi guys, i need to get your advise on buying a LC 200 V8 , Petrol. Am trying to get a JDM “ZX” grade vehicle. Budget is 14- 14.5 mn what are the model specific issues I should be aware of , and any tips for pre buying inspection. Am thinking anyway of using Car checks ( JS) juggling between the 2008 & 2010 models. Price delta is approx 1 million, is it worth it to forgo the extra million for 24 months.
  3. From what I’ve heard T31 diesel is a good car, albeit came down in limited volumes due to only being brought down on permits. It has a conventional auto ( not CVT) hence decent pulling, and good on road handling. You may not get many examples and the ones you see would’ve done a lot of mileage typical for diesels. I’ve watched a few videos where the T31 does some decent off reading where the T32 struggled miserably. Hardy car but as someone posted may struggle to find after market parts. The agent is a bit of nightmare. From T32, I think Nissan shifted to a frugal 1.6 liter manual which was fuel efficient but had very bad pulling power. Anyways with the bad reputation the HT32 has you might be able to pick a decent car for a steal.
  4. Gentlemen, am currently using a 2013 late Montero V98W GLX ( Diesel) which I got 3 years back when she had done only 35K +. Now she is slightly shy of 85K, but still in top nick and company maintained to the dot. It’s a nice set of wheels , fun to ride with ample power and space. But refinement & creature comfort wise am wondering whether to upgrade to a Toyota Prado 150 or Land cruiser 200? My budget is 14Mn which I may be able to stretch another 1/2 Mn. I need something which has equal power to the Monty or more, but more comfortable and refined ride. i have been looking at a few 200 V8 Petrol LCs. As per the ads I think the best 200 I could afford would be something manufactured between 2008-2010. But fully loaded ZX or AX G special. Do you think this is a wise move for me to do the switch? Am I jumping on to a money pit , as the Monty has been very cost effective in terms of maintenance. Fuel is not a major concern as I am getting company fuel pumped. And if you think V8 is a smart move what should I be specifically looking at in the vehicle in terms of maintenance and what problems to anticipate Or should I bin the V8 dream and go for 150 and call it a day? thanks in advance guys Sadiq
  5. Jesus christ... this guy describes the 260 facelifts as if it is an entirely a new frame. What is with the damn Clarkson type accent ???
  6. Well, Both in fact are Hybrids. So i guess the question should be the diff between 20x & MP. There is an extremer version as well which i guess is the topmost grade. Please mind you all these are JDM trims being offered. You will not get MP in export versions / Euro versions (the Rogue) From what i have seen the differences are pretty cosmetic. full body colured bumpers, vertical DRL in bumpers, different body molding, dual exhaust which i suspect one being a dummy . The alloy design if i am not mistaken has a diamond cut and someone should correct me whether it is 1" higher in diameter than the 20X which is the basic version. Mode is JDM btw , that is why you dont get it at the agents. Also methinks it has two tone leatherette seat covers whch to me looks a bit too colourful. Extremer is the topmost grade i guess. it has the black plastic trim around but has a front guard , fog light garnish, diamond cut alloy, and in the front and rear you get brush aluminum effect skid plates. Personally i like the extremer more than MP where the latter looks very car-ish , which lacks the bit of a savage look in the Rogue, which hooked me in the first place. MP , i presume is a good 200-300K expensive than the 20X EBP but not sure. Didnt go car shopping in a long time
