  1. realistic fuen consumption of vitz arround 15 in less traffic areas. But im not sure it will suit to badulla as it is bit under power vehicle. Try for a 121 corrolla. It will be the best one for you...All other bigger models are not fuel efficient other than fit area in your price range.....look for a properly maintained one as most of 121 were hacked by heavy usage
  2. 121 is the most economical, but it is bit old car now
  3. Allion, premio, belta and yaris are good cars but with well maintained conditions as all of them are used more than 10 years. My personal feeling is most of them close to 2lack millage. Even with that millage they do better if they maintained well. I suggest you Mazda Axela also a very good reliable car but do less in fuel than Allion. But comport-ability and driving satisfaction is far better. Any of above selections, do consider the maintenance history records.......
  4. For fuel economy, less maintenance cost and resale market Alto can be recomended but not comfortable at all.
  5. Honesly saying we have done something to country than these foolish ministers. I meant all governments had last 30/40 years. At least we are not stolling others things. I have no appreciation over any of ministers recently had. Simply strongly against your idea. Sorry to mentioned it. But it is my personal view. But I think most of our members have the same idea
  6. The best cars should promote to reduce carbon emission is hybrid petrol cars not the electric vehicles. the fact that effect by electric vehicles is that the carbon emit by power generation is higher than the petrol vehicles. Majority been produced by Norochchole which is a boiler powered with coal. Worst case is diesel generators that they supply the lack of the peak. Uneducated ministers will never understanding those factors and these buggers will never make a environment or people friendly budgets. They play for their benifits.
  7. Only vehicle reduced with this budget is vitz and passo. Some electric brand new may come in future. As a summary this cheating budget that play hidding factors
  8. You got a decent budget and it is better to go with Japanese one with good fuel consumption. Hybrids are recommended for heavy users than mean millage vise. If you drive 2000/3000km per month surely Hybrid will be a good offer. But some one who drive less than 1000km per month normal vehicle is recommended. In hybrids you may have to face some battery related issues in long time use. They may be expensive and hybrid and electrical vehicle price reduction against age is higher than normal jap.
  9. You can check some good options below as you don't consider brand new and the factor of hassle free car. 1. Toyota Vitz 2012/2013 2. Toyota Passo 2014/2015 (I think best option) 3. Toyata Yaris 2011 4. Toyota Belta 2010 Top 2 is very good with fuel.
  10. But we can adjust and arrange some budgets for targeted vehicles if we can take some idea what is going to happened.
  11. I know it is the normal value of that size. Just read some comments on above. Most of our experts comment on that as 323 is doing around 15. 10 is good for a old sedan. But what i realize as good fuel economy values (generally) +14 km/ltr
  12. Vehicle : Kia Rio (2003) Transmission Type : Auto Engine Capacity : 1500cc Fuel : Petrol Km per Ltr (city/long distance) : City 7-8 Long 9-11 Vehicle : Alto - 2013 New face Transmission Type : Manual Engine Capacity : 800cc Fuel : Petrol Km per Ltr (city/long distance) : City 14-17 Long 18-20
  13. A*W has stopped valuation for used vehicles. I got the information from them that they will start it after beginning of December. That meant there may be a considerable amount of reduction for smaller cars. There are lot of gossips on electric vehicles. Some says that the tax will be around 0-5%. Still i could not confirm the correct information although i was trying hard find information since 5-6 weeks. It is really appreciated any one give some feedback who is closely with Finance ministry.
  14. My friend had a 323 98/99 auto. It does only 10 per liter. He sold it due to issue of reversing. When the vehicle is cold condition reverse gear is not working. He came to office from Homagama to jail ela
  15. Incase of fuel economy Mazda is not the suitable one. try with below cars according to your requested criteria 1. Viva Elite 2. Toyota AE 110 3. Alto 800/K10 4. Japanese ALto
  16. One simple thing is buddi, check the service history. Then you can have idea on the way previous owner maintained it(DCT). Almost everybody who maintain his vehicle properly and loving the stuff always keep a file of maintenance records. Just buy vehicles only on that kind of users then you will never be trouble with any technology.
  17. it is my personal feeling on GRACE. Specially exterior and interior......for me it is better than Axio.
  18. Also insight is around 3.4 to 3.8. But you can go for Corolla 121 G grade. But i don't think you can find one with low millage. Toyota Vios 2008 can be managed. If you like try for it. The belta body VVTI does around 15-17 km/ltr in long rides. Safe and comfort is good with this car. Try for properly maintained vehicle with service records.
  19. VIva elite is in your range. Don't go for k11. It drinks fuel a lot.
  20. They may be 2 door k11. sonata does less than 8 per ltr.
  21. Hey man. Now you are going to face a big trouble. Don't trust the people condemn Alto. It is not that bad considering local situations. You may go for earlier version of new model. 2013 or 2014. Go for a company maintained vehicle. It costs around 1.7m. Collect some money for 2,3 years and then you are in what you need.
  22. Agreed. Mazda is that kind of nice stuff. But I don't know why Sri lankans don't select this as Toyota or Honda. I think the issue is fuel economy. Other than they are better than most of the other brands. Premio is very nice vehicle considering all factors of local market. Selection Up to you.
  23. Go for Axio WXB which is in your fuel economy range. But 0 millage is around 6.5m. Good second hand market and also comfortable good looking car. Honda Grace also handy stuff. If you are going for second hand one Premio is the best. Those battery related issues will not be an issue in long use
  24. That is not the only issue with old generation korean's. Very poor in fuel efficiency specially Kia Rio. Also it is hard to find spare parts. Technicians also don't like to touch these vehicles due to poor design of assembly. To remove one part they have to work with few other parts. So repair cost is high side. I used Kia Rio 2003 Auto for 10 months and it took me to garages more than 12 times. They looks pretty decent. But give lots of troubles. I suggest you to go for a ALTO which used carefully and specially company maintained one. It save your money. Use it for 2 years and then you may adjust your budget and you can save some amount with maintenance and fuel cost. So you can go for a newer one with your desired requirements. Alto is not a bad one as the bigger vehicle users says. Only thing you have to drive carefully, safety of this stuff is very poor. Earlier I also had a bad image of Alto but when i using it i felt it is not that much bad. But it not comfortable like Kia. We don't need to pay excess money for depreciated stuffs for little pleasure. I think this is the time that change peoples mind on using older vehicles which pollute environment.
  25. Kia sorento is good reliable SUV. U may go with your budget also. If you go for sedan Grace should be the best one. You can buy 0 millage with the limit. Mazda Axela is one of the sexiest in sri lankan sedan market and it is also in your range. Few other you should for, 1. Toyota Axio 2. Honda Accord 2011- Powerful / comfort/ safe 3. Toyota Premio 2014/2013 4.Honda vezel 2015 ( Not a heart breaking stuff- but maintenance cost/ fuel efficiency is good. bit comfortable also) 5.BMW 320D 6. Benz C180 - If you try hard you may find.. maintenance will be expensive 7. Toyota Hilux If were in this situation my selection goes around Honda Grace and Kia sorento.... Comfort, Spare parts availability and worth for price is there.
