  1. Find below details about a EK3 for sale. I haven't seen the car yet. Hope to see this tomorrow.. Apart from agents can we find good people who knows how to repair these systems? http://asia.vtec.net/article/DriveMMT/
  2. It's true that I don't have much experience with Honda..But I have enough experience with N16. May be N16 is good for a gentalmen of age 50-60.
  3. Oh man is it ??? Well I asked from owner or just check for the bacth.
  4. Agreed!! BMW is an excellent car to drive. With my personal experience (one of my friend has 17- BMW) it is not that wise idea to buy an old one.
  5. Hi Guys, Hope you can remember the chat we had about Subaru cars. The data you added was really helpful and finally I change my mind to hunt down for a Honda EK3. Last two weeks I went to see several EK3. The price varies from 1.4M ( YOM 1997) to 2.0M (YOM 2000) and most of them had over 100k on the clock. I did not find Vtec cars at all. Can you guys tell me few tips to check the quality of these cars? And kindly tell me the average price that I should pay for an EK3. I want to compromise between price and quality. Coz my budget is around 1.6M. Meanwhile I found 1999 Mitsubishi CK2 Mirage (Auto) for a reasonable price. Does CK2 give same driving experience as EK3? Thanks !!! Dodge
  6. Guys, thank you very much. Thoughts from each and every one are helpful to me. Well, the sad story is that we are in a developing country (always) where most of the people think about just using a car rather than experiencing the real driving pleasure. As 'GTAm' says subaru's driving pleasure is seems some what special. But I haven't experience a good Honda Civic VTEC yet. I like to have a car with balance of power and handling. Seems like I have to use this weekend to hunt down for good Honda VTEC while keeping the Subaru option open. One other question. I have seen Honda city (2000-2002 version) with VTEC batch on it. What do you guys feel about theses citys in terms of power and handling? (This is not to compare City against Civic or Subaru.)
  7. Good comment about sri lanka and performance cars. As per the owner on average this Impreza does about 8-10 km/l. Availability and cost of spares is the bothering question I have.
  8. Guys, I am panning to buy my first vehicle. I am a bit of a racing lover and currently I have a option of buying a Subaru Impreza, 1999 model(1500cc) car for around 1.5M. I need advice from subaru experts out there before make up my mind. Specially I like to know about the maintenance, availability of spares and the second hand market of the vehicle. Though I am a racing lover, I want to use the car in day today life while enjoying the fun of driving a car of power. /Doge
