My Lancer CK2 (EFI, YOM:2000 ) recently failed the emission test due to high CO. Then i did an engine tuneup and again went for the emission test. This time i got very bad values than the 1st attempt. I went to the mechanic and then he asked me to replace my Oxygen sensor and TPS (throttle body sensor). Now i am getting very bad fuel consumption. Is this happen due to above sensors? If so, please let me know a place to buy them. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, Does anybody know about the recommended power steering fluid for lancer Ck2 (2000 model)? I have read few forums and they have mentioned to use ATF. I used Mitsubishi SP III for my gearbox. Is it okay to use same for power steering? Really appreciate your responses. Thank you.

Hi Dushyantha, Thank you very much for your reply. I don't have any idea whether he cleared the code or not.. He said that he cannot find the ECL relay and check this from another place if the issue occur again. No ther was any dock sound while the car moving. Sound came when changing gears manually. I checked the relay price from UM and Price is 6240/= LKR. And they will import the relay on customers order. Should i go to that place or can i find good parts from panchi...

Hi, I have a Lancer CK2 (2000/ Automatic/ EFI) and it has done 183000Km. Last week suddenly i got a gear transmission issue after i traveled from Colombo to Kandy. When i change the gear to "D" , Gear was getting engaging with a DOCK sound and "N" light on the dashboard was started to blink. When i accelerate car was moving slowly. Then i went to a near garage and did a scan. Result was "54 ELC relay open" issue (Image has been attached). but that mechanic didn't have any idea to repair that, he checked the relays in engine compartment and he interchanged some relays and said he cant find the ELC relay. After few minutes i started my car and issue was not there.Then i came to Colombo and still i didn't get that issue. But i think i need to check that from a good mechanic. Is this a serious case? What should i do..? Is there any good mechanic around colombo ? Your responses are much appreciated.

Hi All, Today i checked mounts in Panchikawatta Jayamanna Motors. They have brand new japan mounts and LKR 15350/= for all the four mounts(Including one gel mount) and they offer 6 month warranty. Is it okay to use these mounts? Did anybody use them. Highly appreciate your comments on this. Thanks.

I am also thinking about going for genuine.. but the problem is price Anyway mechanic said that it is not in critical situation since there are no any big damages in the mounts. But he said it would be good if you get it done early as possible since there is a small vibrations in the car when it is idle... @PerfMad Mechanic advised me to don't go for re-bush. He said that its quality is not enough to hold the CK2 engine as CK2 has a heavy engine. yeah.. thatz true.. 63 is a big amount for mounts..But i am thinking about go for the best low price one. @CK2 It's EFI... Mechanic also recommended recon... yes. i am agree with you.. have to check it carefully before buying. But i dont have good knowledge about vehicle parts .. I think i have to go with mechanic.... Otherwise i will spend money on useless thing... What i feel is , if recon mounts dont save for at least 1 year, i will b in a big trouble with money. Is it okay to use recondition parts or should i go for brand new parts? is there any good place to buy recondition mounts? Please help me on this.. Thanks.

Timing Belt : Rs: 15346/= Razer : Rs: 7940/= Oil Seals : 1. Rs: 1804/= 2. Rs: 1138/= I didn't go to the company and i bought japan parts from kurunegala.. Timing Belt : 2950/= Razer : 1950/= Oil Seal : 330/=

Hi All, I recently bought a lancer CK2 (YOM: 2000) and my friends advised me to change the timing belt. It has already done 181,000Km. I would much appreciate if anyone could tell me a rough estimation on the parts. Thanks. Kalpa.
