    Guys for the no objection letter and sellers ID card copy, can an all island JP sign and put the seal or should it be the JP or gramasevaka related to the area of the owners' address stated in the book?

      In my case, my address was Embilipitiya, JP (all island) from Sooriyawawa and owner from Ambalangoda.

      The JP/GS related to the area of the owners' address stated in the book. Once I faced the problem. Finally met the additional commissioner of DMT, then they called to the current owner and verified.

      Though its legal or not, can you imagine the situation of overtaking ? Honestly I'm afraid to drive a LHD vehicle.

    Effin' pickup driver reversed onto the rear bumper while I was parked ???

    Luckily the damage is minor, I'm on two minds whether or not to get the bumper repainted or leave it as it is

      Sad to see it. I too agree with both above comments. Seems it is a pearl mixed paint. So most of the time the color may not match 100%.

    A friend bought an EP82 recently and he says while changing his speedo cable, the mechanic ended up accidentally hiking the odometer from 85k to 225k kms...is that even a possibility? Also his silencer smoke and engine doesnt look like 225k kms..

      (1) Odo 85k is not a realistic number for a EP82

      (2) No need to touch the inside (wheels/numbers) of the meter to change the cable.

      So I too think he is lying.

    Finding 4-5 Nissan Leaf battery cells (removed from a car) to play with a solar panel. Any help guys ?

      It is said that 8.4v (4.2x2) is the maximum voltage of a new cell when fully changed. So can be handle safely.

    Took the car for the colour change process to werahera at 2.30pm and the head mofo said cant take in now as he has to go at 4.15 and told to come another day at 8am. i begged him for 10 minutes and he scolded me, so i scolded him back and told him to kiss the fattest part of my big ass. So instead of going to werahera again i can do the process at Gampaha kachcheri too right? anyone know an inside connection who works at gampaha kachcheri?

      I dont think so. Here are my points.

      1. If it have to reprogram what is the point of replacing a ECU (except hardware failure) ?
      2. Why it should reprogram ? if it can read the inputs form all sensors the ECU should serve well.
      3. ECU programming code may not disclose to public from any manufacturer because it is a property of the company.

      Only thing I can see is, rewrite the millage if you overhaul the engine. But the millage is not storing inside a ECU. So that is also not applicable here. May be they have created a business like servicing cell phones.

      (I am not a ECU expert and commenting based on my electronic & computer programming knowledge)

      @Magnum Yes registered Vitz already in my budget and considering too.

      @matroska This morning checked Wagon R in xxxxx traders and quoted FX 2.95M, FZ 2.675M & Stingray 3.05M. Boxy shape is the main concern.

      @trish_auto Using Leaf.Spy app we can check the battery history and status. Unfortunately my OBD2 adapter not supporting to it. :(

      Yes. The old tags of Vitz still in between 3.8M - 40M and hoping come down after new shipment arrived. Registered Leaf reduced up to 2.1M. :) But decided to wait and see bit.
