All this...is dirt :) If you give it a good soak and scrub it will be a much flatter and consistant color.  Even the upper darker area (the dried skin like wrapping) it is shiny because of oil residue....

You can try dish wash liquid and a rag cloth....the more expensive option would be to get something like AutoGlym Inerior Shampoo...let it soak a few minutes and then rinse it off.

What on earth was happening in that car ?

But you shoud give a good scrubbing to that dashboard....get rid of that balck haze on everything and it will give the interior a whole new look. Granted after that your seats would look like *&(#.

what black haze? there is noth dirt on the dashboard or the front panels noh. what are you referring to?

Nice...glad you were able to sort it out. The issue with these plastics is that they dry up and turn brittle...

Now...I hope you are planning on giving that interior a good scrubbing

Yeah need to do a cleanup but im afraid to do the upholstery cleanup because the upholstery material is not very thick, the cloth might tear, so just doing the seats and all that shit

  4. Finally fixed this ugly Frame around the AC vent. @irage you were right, I was able to remove those frame but as soon as I removed it broke into pieces :D but the guy who did the frame repairing fixed that too so all good. Here are the before and after pics.

It might be on the hook, but looks like the hook might have been a bit dislodged (pulled from the base body a bit), see if you can hammer it down a bit, gap should go away?

    Ah genius thanks

    Priorities eh...😆

(But seriously, first time I heard that you need a car to go to Food City or the saloon! As for dates: I guess that is the one time having a car helps a bit I guess. Cool scene! Anyways you have one now, so hopefully you get lots of dates!!  Congratulations! )

no i don't need a car to impress the girl on dates, i need a car to use it for something else :D

There is a hook near that end.. may be you could check whether its properly being fitted.

checked.. its already on the hook

  9. As yal can see in this image there is a gap in the rear seat and the back board.. its not going any further beyond that. So to cover that cam I thought of putting rear back seat head cover.. Any idea of a good place to put those or are there ready made covers for that? Or anything else to be done here?

And also I don't think I cannot find an auto for that price range

See that's where people go wrong ;) True right now you cant find a decent auto for that price, But I just bought an auto Presea last week for way less than your budget. You just have to patiently wait and as soon as someone advertise for a lower price you should go right then and there and buy it. Even if it has to be in the middle of the night. Thats how cars gets sold to buyya's these days for dirt cheap. So every 5 minutes you need to keep checking cars. Good cars gets sold in the first hour of advertising. So you need to be on alert.

However, I could recommend as I was also looking for an auto car for 11 laks for the past 3 months and my options were the bluebird u13 and the presea that has space and comfort for that price. You can get a 19- bluebird or presea for below 12. If you are lucky, you could get an auto too for that price if you have skills to negotiate. Other forum members may shed some light on the other options you have

98.5% sure :) It is a housing for the vent...just that it might have a bit of a sealant/glue around it so it won't just come out easily. Its the same with almost 99% of all the cars of the era....My Corolla was the same. If it does have glue you will just have to put some glue back on again.

Yeah I spoke to a guy. He said lets apply some cataloy to the uneven surface and then paint it

  15. There are so many cars below 1.2 million. So for us to help you, you need to tell us what type of car you are looking for.. Is it auto or manual? petrol or diesel? For that budget no car is reliable cuz you will find at least a car that is over 30 years old. So 30 year old cars are expected to have many repairs by now. And a well maintained car that is close to 30 years wont go at that price either now so you might have to resort to a car in the late 80's for that price now (I'm talking about toyota and nissan cars only here) So since its your first car keep 2 laks aside for repairs cuz definitely its gonna cost you that amount or something close to that after buying.

They are removable....just be careful and make sure you use an interior prying tool to pull it out...use cloth to minimize the damaga at pivot points.

Yes..they can be fixed..you just need to take it a place that does interiors, specifically places that do plastic welding, dashboard refurbishment, woodgrain printing.... They will probably put some filler and redo the surface and paint it....

are you sure it is removable? how sure?

If you look hard you will find vehicles without open papers. I bought the E200 from the original first owner who has refused to sell under open papers for a month.

Same goes with me. I sold all my cars with duly completed MTA 06 and copy sent to DMT. If they forge my signature that's a different story which i think is a common occurrence in all those open paper vehicles.

yes usually buyya's dont buy europian vehicles and cars that are not common. So those remain with original owners.

  18. Well, I had made like at least 25 calls to possible cars I wanted to buy over the past 3 months. Safe to say that at least 20 of them were on open papers. Nowaday's there is no end user of the car. A bigger buyya buys from a low level buyya and a way bigger buyya buys from that big buyya, so it goes on open papers from hand to hand. I know this for certain because I do a side spare parts business and everyday buyya's come to my house to buy stuff. They tell me themselves how its done. And the possibility of you buying a car from a registered owner is 0%, because if the car is good, a buyya goes and buy it within 1 hour of advertising, so once again its going to be on open papers that you buy a good car. If there is a car that hasnt been sold for 3 days and still with the registered owner, that means there is something wrong with the car or that car is highly priced no one sane would buy it. I know this because everyday I make calls to the advertised cars as I'm hunting one too. There is a car I know, a presea, a friend owned it in 2015. He sold it in 2016 and the car is still under his name. And I've seen that car being advertised by 5 different people over the years so its going on open papers and the mileage of it also has been reduced by 150k and the colour is also changed.
