  1. Finally found the damn Idle sensor from Panchi. Man these spare part prices I dont know how can an average man survive buying a 25 year old car with such high maintenance cost. Only 1 place had the part and so bought it for 15k.

      This is why

      1. old cars are quite crap because there comes a point where owners cannot find or afford to buy proper parts so they jimmy rig solutions.

      2. standard models of cars like the E90/E100 Corolla, B12/B13 Sunny are so popular. Being global models that were really popular, there are still cars that are available for stripping around the world and cheap parts manufacturers and parts re-furbishers still have a decent market to cater to.

  2. I replaced all 4 plugs 1 month ago and yesterday 1 plug blew off and had to replace. How does plugs get worn off like that? Didnt even drive 1000kms
  3. Guys I really need to find the AAC valve for the SR18 engine. Walked all around delkand yesterday and couldnt find a single one. Need help.

oh!, better to get at least a warranty if your sourcing a used one, since these parts are fairly old and you never know the status of them. no luck on Yahoo auction Japan as well? recently sourced a MAP sensor (Through Buyee) costs me only 3k bucks.

  5. Just realized the only 2 colours that looks good on the ARX is the normal light silver like the one I have and black. Nothing else. so 10 years down the line I'll paint it black.

Yeah I checked on google an seems like its the same as SR20DE, but as I remember the SR20 one wasnt the same in a shop in delkanda when i checked. Werid. So are you able to source a used one in Japan?

    3. iRage

      iRage

SR20 has two different types..one type seems to be the same as the SR18DE.

No..cannot find anything online. They are all for SR20DETs which is different and the one that is for a SR20DE is the second type

  7. Hi Guys - are there any Nissan specialists like Ravi around? I've been going to ravi but with my old age I cant be staying at that place for 14,15 hours anymore, so I need another Nissan Specialist. Any recommendations? I live in Welisara area.
  8. Guys I really really need help here please. When I reach the speed of around 70kmh and when the car is in 4th gear, and when I release the leg from the accelerator (withoiut keeping my leg on the brakes) the car vibrates/knocks heavily. And at the same time the RPM meter also fluctuates.. When the speed reduces then the car goes as usual without the vibration and RPM meter becomes normal too. This happens only after driving at the 4th gear for few seconds. Mechanics wouldnt know what to do either because this happens occasionally and they cant get it to happen when test driving. Also the car stops sometimes at low gears during traffic. I have done the following repairs so I dont' know what else to do. 1. Cleaned throttle body 2. Replaced all 4 plugs 3. Cleaned idle valve/AAC valve 4. Replaced all 3 mounts (engine, axle, gearbox) 5. Front Tyres are also new 6. Cleaned intake manifold and Air filter 7. Replaced fuel filter and fuel pump 8. Adjusted distributor Can someone tell me what might be wrong?
  9. yes. go for a Presea or a Bluebird. Solid shit!
  10. Good. My first car was a presea, 2nd car was also a presea, and 3rd car was also a presea and the 5th car was also a presea.. Add the bluebird U13 ARX also to your list, thats even better than the presea, thats what I own now.
  11. Though my viper blades are good, when it rains and when the vipers brush the water out there is this mistyness on my windscreen. Are there any special cleaning that should be done to the windscreen?

    1. iRage

      iRage

Could be that some oily residue is on your windscreen. Sometimes service stations put their glass cleaner on which is not very good and then it is made worst by them using contaminated spray bottles and dirty cloths/paper-wipes/etc...The other thing is that your wiper blades might have some oily residue from a trim/rubber restorer on it. Try using a good glass cleaner and see if it helps. If not, you find windscreen polish/compound (do not use normal compound yourself as you will scratch the glass). Once you use the windscreen polish/compound and are confident that it is all cleared up, you might want to use somethinglike Glaco (a glass coating which technically anyone with arms, a hand and half a brain can do at home but charged an arm and leg by so called "professionals" in Sri Lanka).

Also, give your wiper blades a good clean. When you say your wiper blades are good, I am assuming that they are neither falling apart nor have hardened and dried up

  12. Guys I'm going to purchase these H4 bulbs for my U13. Any feedback on this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/232869423447?epid=11027205811&hash=item3638196957:g:n-kAAOSwENVfcdEm
  13. Anyone got H4 night breakers for sale?

  14. Last night dream: I was kidnapped by SL Buyya's Association. They wanted me to front their party and said I'm a huge asset, so wanted me to join them. Tied me up and beat me and said I really need to join them.

    1. iRage

      iRage

Why not ? The other parties have set the bar real low..so you can just cruise through the job

  15. Since I don't know if the low fuel indicator light is working in my car thought of testing this by driving until the car stops if it doesnt indicate. Filled a 1.5litre bottle of fuel and having it in the trunk just in case as the car is supposed to stop on the way tomorrow while driving to a wedding.

    1. iRage

      iRage

      1. Is 1.5L enough to get you anywhere ? Should have used a small jerry can

      2. What kind of a bottle are you using ? Bottles like plastic Coke bottles start melting when you leave petrol in it for a long time ...so you storing petrol in it is essentially spoling the petrol by having plastic dissolve in to it.

    2. PreseaLover

      PreseaLover

ah thanks for the tip then i shall use that petrol

  16. Guys, is it the MTA 11 form we have to submit in order to get a letter from RMV for revenue license update, while the book is being processed in RMV for new ownership transfer? Also I remember the temporary revenue license they issue is valid only for 3 months. So in case the book doesn't come in 3 months, how can we extend this revenue license for a longer period?
  17. Dad bought a first owner Presea R11. That lady who owned it before almost never drove it, it still had the same air filter that came from japan. I think we will keep this car for the rest of our lives. Funny thing is now we both own Nissans and both own G numbers and both has cars with frameless windows and both cars are manufactured in 1995.
