  1. I have a thing for Presea's that has run over 250k km's. The higher the mileage i find it amazing and attractive. Hard to find a Presea with over 250k mileage noh :( All are less than 200k :(

mostly yah. sold my 19 year car with almost 223k km on the clock (genuine millage)

      Hyaenidae

Me too but only if it was me who put that 250k kms on that odo, starting from zero mileage :D

Haven't managed to do that but am getting there, slowly but surely.

It has to be me who made her sag and gape!

In my case it would be highly unlikely scenario as i would love to change cars every 4-6 years

  2. Did anyone else notice that every month the old car prices increases from 1 lakh? 🙄

    1. Hyaenidae

      Hyaenidae

No surprises there, the number of cars offered for sale keeps dropping - consequently, prices go up and up

  3. Guys how much does the Auto transmission of Honda City 2001 model does on fuel? (Not for me) Will it at least do 8?

      PerfMad

It should do more or less around 8-10 in city limits with average traffic. My Manual VTEC did around 11-12 in city limits. Depends on how u drive though.

  4. Its a pity that new cars don't have nice interior like they had for the 90's Nissan cars.

      PerfMad

i would say newer cars interior and exterior bits ain't solid as it used to be back in the day.

  5. But I'm looking for the Auto, Petrol and the Sunroof version of the SU13.

  6. Guys guys Jesus guys.. A guy came to my place to pick up a part and he came in his bluebird U-13. I just got into that car and f**k that car is f**kin beautiful. I couldn't believe how beautiful that car interior was. Original condition with sunroof. You know what guys. I'm looking for a U13 now instead of a Presea. Though its 19 dash and a 92 model, this Nissan car is an absolute beauty, I died right there.

Yeah...Manual are fun to drive....but depends on the car as well....it can be very unfun to drive very fast of the clutch is too heavy and the shifting is clunky and hard, especially in rush hour traffic.

This can also cause back problems if one has a sensitive back or other issues.

I'd rather go in the bus than driving a manual :D

    4. PerfMad

      PerfMad

@iRagetrue thats why i never wanted to upgrade my clutches in both vehicles to performance ones. I love driving the manual in traffic :D may be i dont belong to this universe #rofl

That's why i miss driving a manual so badly now 😢

  7. Searching a Presea is like using Tinder. Going to inspect a Presea is like going on a tinder date. Either you buy it and use it or it ends with 1 date.

And it's an absolute certainty that each and every one of those has been thoroughly used by at least 10 guys by the time you get your hands on it

  8. oh right.. il check it out. overall i only saw the pic and realized thats the blue I wanted
  9. Guys, what would be a metallic silver blue color code that will still look silver and still can be called as silver? I might buy a silver presea and paint it bluish silver, so that I won't have to update the book from silver to something else. So what would be the closest and best metallic bluish silver colour or code that would still look like silver?
  10. One thing I regret in my life was selling my White Presea. You know what guys. I made up my mind, I want another White Presea. Came across this presea from Russia I think on the internet and realized how cute White is on a Presea. This white color code is something very different. Anyone know what white is this? https://kolesa.kz/a/show/108099865

lol !! Just by the above statement, I can tell right away you're not married or in a committed relationship! 😁😇

Too bad! Had you put a shape and compromised (really not even a compromise, you won that round, what more do u want...) you'd be driving around in a Presea right about now!

    3. PreseaLover

      PreseaLover

@Kavvzyou are right. I'm single, waiting to be a sugar daddy. If I bought that presea, all the excitement of finding a presea will be gone, and I will tend to sell it soon after I buy it you see.

    4. Kavvz

      Kavvz

We have an aspiring 'Sugar Daddy' on our hands now do we....Whoa!

  11. In the contrary to my previous status, as an afterthought, I decided to repeat the sequence of my car owning history. That is to start with a G number again, and work it up to H and J etc, so that I wont run out of a Presea model to buy

  12. If you take my Presea car owning history you see the trend here:

Presea "Refina-F" (1998/2001), "Refina" (1999/2003), "Refina-L" (2000/2004).. You see the trend here ma man? So according to the equation of the universe, my next presea should be 2000/2005 "Refina S". Given that refina 's' are very rare in SL, my best bet would be a "Refina" with the YOR 2005 or above, which means possible a "J" number or above. You can't argue with fate meine feunde. This is the equation of the universe.

    1. PerfMad

      PerfMad

you know at one point you have to stop purchasing preseas if u follow your equation right?? :D

    2. PreseaLover

      PreseaLover

@PerfMadthen let this be the last Presea I'm going to buy :D

After this start restoring W124s you'll start loving those with their superb ride quality

  13. Now another question comes to my mind. Should I buy an abused car for a low price and restore it like the previous times, or should I buy a perfect car for a higher price and just wait? Sigh. These are the problems I have.

    1. PerfMad

      PerfMad

purchase abused car and restore it. atleast you'll save one car which would end up as a parts car in someones junk yard

    2. PreseaLover

      PreseaLover

@PerfMadlove to. But now the car market prices are batshit crazy. Even an abused car goes over 17 laks. Sigh.

    3. iRage

      iRage

Buy an abused car and restore it...that way you can restore it to the level of quality you want and can trust the work that has gone in to it.

Only a very few cars have good build and maintenance histories...so 99% of the so called perfect cars that you will come across...you will not know what has been done and how. This is the risk in SL because there are so many cars dressed up for a quick sale.

  14. There is an H number presea advertised. But its a 1996 manufactured car. Am I gonna buyt it? Naaaaaaaaaah.. doesn't feel right for the conscience.. Need a 98 refina model or above.

  15. I'm secretly wishing I get a J, or K number Presea instead of a ''H'' number presea, because I've seen a K number presea advertised few months back. I mean that's an upgrade right from H to a higher number though I like an H number also because my name starts with H. But im ok with K because my ancestory name starts with K.

@pug306xsiupgrade as in number wise. same car only. for me even from HQ-6493 to HQ-6494 is also an upgrade. That is why I sold my presea for 5 laks more than the current market price. Buy it or leave it. this is my price. And someone bought it not a cent was reduced. So when you are living in SL you have to use the Sri Lankan mentality. This is not America.

    3. matroska

      matroska

but machan it's difficult to quantify upgrade. Cos  HQ-6493 to HQ-6494 could very well be HQ-6494 was built earlier than 6493. But yeah that's how the SL vibe goes...

@matroskaexactly. Sad story. That's why when I advertised also I advertised as 2004 car. cuz our folks only cares about the registered year and the number plates :D But there is nothing different in a 1998 model presea and a 2000 presea. Even in a 95 model and a 2000 only the lights and buffer are different. engine and interior options are all same.

  16. You know what... screw it.. I want an 'H' number Presea!

    1. Hyaenidae

      Hyaenidae

You want an abused European car so you can post 199 status updates a day about things going wrong with it - you can start a thread if you prefer - "PL's misadventures with XXX"

  17. Also why do owners lie about the number of owners of a car. Don't they realize that when we check the book we can identify that. Every bloody Presea I have called so far tells me they are the 3rd owner. But when checking the book, there are always 10+ owners. Jeez man why lie and waste our time?

  18. On my way back home I saw a gold Presea. f**k, I want a Gold presea now, instead of any other colour I want Gold. its so rich looking maaaan, I cant. I just want a metallic colour similar to Gold or Gold.

  19. Went to buy a Blue presea to Kandy. Test drove it and found some issues. I told him to reduce 50k for the shocks, mounts, cvs, bushes, racer and all of that. He said no. I said bye and went to a snack bar to eat something. 5 minutes after that he calls me to tell me that he is ok to reduce 50k from the initial price. But hey, during that 5 minutes I changed my mind. You should have told me before. I'm sorry but now I don't want to buy it. Because my mind changes with a blink of an eye. Returned back to colombo. So the search continues

    1. PerfMad

      PerfMad

waste of money. If im u, i would have bought it :D rather than wasting my time and money hunting for a car. I got fedup searching one for 2 weeks after selling my previous car.

    2. PerfMad

      PerfMad

But common i know you love roaming around searching for cars so NO COMMENTS :D

  20. You are spot on my friend. I haven't bought a car yet. Like you said a Potential chicks' box is broken 😛
  21. Something I did which no one knows. Since 2014 since Preseas were advertised in sites, I used to keep a database of preseas, their mileages, number of owners, the car numbers, colors etc. in 2019 I had a database of close to 150 preseas in SL. Sad to see 90% of the preseas advertised again after the first time I saw it, doesn't match with the mileage I have in my database. All are tampered. I lost this file last year, however, I have all the details of it in my mind, so I sort of know personal details of a lot of Preseas in the country. Its sad to see the current owners think their car is the best knowing that some cars has a tampered mileage of over 200k

    1. PerfMad

      PerfMad

True that. Its really difficult to find a car with untampered millage. I m someone who would love to maintain and purchase a car with actual millage regardless of how much it has been driven.

To give an example, i sold my lancer having it clocked 325k KM and my City with 223k KM on the clock with full history from year of YOM. And the owner didn't think twice to purchase it has he haven't seen such a car with full service history including millage.

    2. AVANTE

      AVANTE

@PerfMad same here! People usually tamper the mileage because normies run away from seeing high mileage numbers

But people like me love high mileage cars because they are legit. Our 406 has almost 333,000km on the clock and it's like a badge of honor among the ocean of the so called "90,000 genuine mileage" cars.
