    Hi Everyone.

Recently I purchased a Honda Fit GP1 2012 car. I changed its engine oil to 15W40 during my last service. Now I hope to change my gear oil. I want to know what it will cost and what is the best oil type to it.

Hi If im correct, you are asking what is the gear oil which should be used during the change right? if yes, then this comes with a CVT gearbox and stafford recommends HMMF oil. Last time I changed mine year ago it costed me i think 15k for the genuine oil. There are fakes too. So better you get the oil from a trust worthy place or go to the agents.

what is know as RX 270 Xdi in Ssangyong Rexton SUV's ? and there s a anothere s type so whats the different between this please clarify this clearly

therefore please be consider and please help me to have an idea

    thanks all

As per my knowledge rexton 270 came with 2 variants. One with XDI technology where its 2wd and optional 4wd selection upon request.
Other one is the powerup version which is also know as 270XVT where the turbo is different and has AWD + all the fancy options including additional 20 odd bhp than the Xdi variant.

Hallo. I have a honda insight here in Kenya. It shows the hmmf sign with a spanner sign with -100km.

Is it necessary for a mech to try read the error using a computer or can just change the CCVT. Thanks

Hi No need of a mechanic to read the code. It means your gear oil change is due in 100km. Get the oil changed with honda genuine HMMF oil and reset the warning message. Again it will trigger in about roughly 37000km.

    Hi guys,

That's a humming noise coming from the alternator when the ignition key is turned on. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT STARTED. Does anyone know about this? I called a few electrician but they too are clueless. Alternator indicator light goes off when stated and the charging is good. Everything is functioning very well.

Like a Bermuda Triangle phenomenon  🤣 your kind input may help me figure things out.

mmm usually this is highly unlikely. You can't hear such noise from alternator unless vehicle is operating. Are you sure its the alternator? My hunch is check your fuel pump. It could be the fuel pump priming abnormal sound if it wasn't there before.

    Hi @ZuL,

Just came across this thread. And im also having an issue with one of my power shutters and it seems to be the motor or the assembly which is faulty. But i need to get it checked and resolved if possible without replacing the motor. could you please pass me the contact no of the mechanic?

Hi I am using gp1. Ima battery. My auto stop option is not working. When I checked it was told hybrid battery performance is low to 17% and need to replace. Even after replacing it doesn't work the auto stop. Any advice please

Never heard of such an issue. Please update the post if you find any solution.

By the way from where did you replace the battery? It could be needing sort of a calibration. Why not try contacting the Agents?

I have replaced brand new TPS sensor to my car due to rpm issues (Going up and down)But now my rpm not increasing after the AC on.without ac and with ac it is 900 to 1000 .when I switch on the ac it is increase up to 1200 and again come to 900 to 1000.AC also working perfectly.is this a fault. but my car idle is better.running perfectly.I need to know after the ac switch on ,should it be always high rpm.

I also had a City type Z and it had a rpm around 790-850 and with AC it was always equal or less than 900. So i guess you are all good.

If you are not looking specifically for a Sedan, I would prefer FIT GP1/GP2 or GP4 models as well. All of these models has all the fancy equipment's you need for day today driving like cruise control multi-functional steering wheel, auto AC and what not. Cabin room leg space is quite enough and 4 people can comfortably travel. Very comfortable and fuel efficient too. Has nicer instrument cluster with many advanced information for the driver. Very good on fuel and pulling power is very good for the engine capacity (you don't feel like driving a typical 1.3 engine car with the support of IMA). Car is also newer and most importantly, parts are freely available starting for engine to small nut or bulb. And these models has less/ almost no issues with the battery as well. I know few people who have done above 130k on the clock on original battery and still counting.

+ car looks sporty and nice if you opted for wider wheels for rear :D

So it all depends on how well the car is maintained by previous owners.

Car make / model: Honda Insight (2010)

I replaced the bush of the steering rack 3 weeks ago but now again I feel roughness when driving on little non smooth roads (even in very little bumps).

Many people say rack bush replacement is not a successful method as it uses nylon material in the new bush.

What is the solution for this issue?

I heard the same. However, it should settle down once you do around few thousands KM's. (atleast that's what I've heard)

On my car it was indicated IMA and Battery light,  so we did the scan and it shows something wrong with fan, one fan was not working so we replace that one . But after that with in 30km again indicated only battery light  not the IMA light . I also checked the power battery and it is on good condition. Can you pleas explain it to me why is only indicating battery light now !?

If you are seeing this icon , then it says (as per translation) -> Lights when the 12V battery is not charged.

What to do when it lights up -> Turn off air conditioners and etc to reduce electric consumption. Then , immediately contact your honda dealer for repair.
