  1. Hi, When we installed the new sensor, it got worse. Previously, when we increase the RPM, MAP sensor didn't increase it's voltage reading. The new one does. But the emission test's high rpm show increased CO count compared to previous values. We have done tune-up, plug replacement etc. So the previous sensor is wrong one for the engine? Can anyone share a image of throttle body of a EK3 D15b. Thanks
  2. It cost 2500LKR The shop display board is attached here.
  3. Got a matching one from NIN Wijerama
  4. Hi, @Rumesh88 Yes I have mixed-up the language. Thank you for explain the sensor vendor part. Will check these site Thanks you again!
  5. My Honda Civic Ek3 car failed emissions test due to response failure of MAP sensor. Electrician found the issue after inspecting. With the RPM MAP sensor want change its resistance. Need to replace it. Can I know a place to find it? I think it has a replaced sensor. Its not Honda. But Denso. I found the blue colour one in delkanda. Will it match ?
  6. Hi, As far as I know, the break system is a closed system. There is liquid inside the system. So when the engine is stopped, if there is no air in the system, can the paddle go down? I guess in this situation there may be air in the break lines. If not there may be loose parts in the system which cant bear the pressure. Simply break washers. WDYT?
  7. Here the main problem was rubber layer getting damage. Ek3 had two type of pullies. One with the metal strip in the middle of two big pullies and without a one. Our one which is a JDM EK3 has a one with metal strip. Found a one from a guy who had a extra one via a facebook group. Stafford motors doesn't had this.
  8. The Crank Pully of our Honda Civic EK3 car is broken. Photos are attached. The engine is D15B Vtec. I tried to find it in evry possible place in Pachikawatta. Tech motors, Access motors, Weliwatta etc. But failed. Is there a place to get this? Also is there a place to purchase a good engine replacement for this. Thanks! Andun
  9. Is it possible to setup an external RPM gauge for diesel vehicles which dont have a inbuilt rpm meter? If so where to buy one locally?
  10. Hi, There was a irregular wear in the wheel. This new photo shows that. Also I have uploaded a photo of a good one. My mechanic says it will effect in unnecessary wear in new timing belt and will increase the risk of breaking suddenly. Thus wanted to replace. We found one in Panchikawatta for 3500 LKR. Thanks!
  11. Found locally for 450 LKR in Anura Advertising Panniptiya!
  12. Did the replacement. To replace gaskets and water jackets it cost me around 15k!
  13. This was a failed attempt. Fixed by installing a 5' display replacing the middle GPS system.
  14. The wheel which is rounded by red line is the one. This engine has done 320000km and I dont know the reason for wear off. It's kind of strange!
  15. When we are going through a engine overhual of 4d56 engine, we found that it's timing belt wheels is warn out. Is it possible to replace it? And where to buy it? Thanks!
  16. 42K to 50K For the fun checked with Unit#d Mot#rs it was 469K
  17. Hi, My L200 1998 2WD one's power steering box is done. Do you know a place to buy one for a good price? I checkd Japan Lanka, Dai Lanka, Vikasitha etc. price is too high! Thanks!
  18. Our mechanic has cleaned the engine head and valves, ignition coil. Also he has repaired the ECU. He said there were some burnt capacitors(I dont know how he found that :D) Anyway the knock, scratching sound and the low fuel consumption seems to be fixed. It does 12.5 km in the long run per liter.
  19. Meter says 160k but for sure it has done 250k We never checked the pressure. Where can I do such a test?
  20. Hi, The technician clean the throttle and main air flow sensor. Also we have checked the plug assembly again. Other than that we check the timing belt and distributor's outer part. But still no luck. Technician guessed it it is a problem in the ECU. Can that be the problem. Or else, can that be a problem of distributor's inner part?
  21. We have a Honda Civic EK3 Ferio Vtec Automatic 1996 JDM vehicle. My brother has recently bought it. We did the spark-plug replacement and injector cleaning. Also air filter and oil has been changed. Patrol filter is new and auto gear oil is also good according to technician. But we dont know whether previous owner has used Honda Multimatic oil for the gear box. Also few screws in the distributor is broke, thus we didn't had the chance clean it in the tune up. Now the problem is it's fuel consumption. It does 11.5 km per liter in the highway with AC on and speed at 100kmph. In Colombo consumption is 6.5 km per liter. I measured it full tank to full tank. Other than that when we accelerate from idling, it gives a strange metal scratching noise and a knock from timing belt area. Alternator belt and AC belt is also near to packing. Thus couldn't tell exactly what is the noise. It shows 150k mileage. But surely it has been reverted, I guess t has done more than 250k Any guesses about the problem.
  22. Is there a possibility to find alternative to this central console of Honda Civic EK3 300-xxxx version. Which we can install a audio player with a display or without a display? If so where should I look? Thanks Andun
