Ok. Let me answer these last two replies. If you look at my thread, it's not about just asking about dash cams. It has certain information, which i found from this forum and from internet. The threas magnum referred, says " cool ebay gadget for cars". And when i searched in the forum i found that there's no separate thread for dash cams. Then i decided to open a new thread dedicated to dash cams only. I dnt see a problem with that. What i can see is, these pro members with high post counts, always trying to bitch about new threads. Only the members who are relatively new give a helping hand. This is a community and it needs pros as well as newbies. Seems like these pro members spend more time on abusing new members rather than giving a simple answer. Typical Sri Lankan mentality. And this will be my last post in AL.

Yes. I saw that thread. The dash cam mentioned in that thread has been broken after 5 months or so. Just wanted to know about a reliable cam model from AL users.

I recently bought a car and thinking about installing a dash camera on front wind shield. Had a look at ebay and found that the most cameras are chinese products which will be around $20 - $50. Only reliable camera I came across is the G1W model which gives sharp recordings. Yes. It is CVT. My brother also said that the engine mounts should be replaced. At that time this sound did not come. I better take this to a mechanic. Just a small question. Is it ok if I drive few days with this sound or should I check this ASAP?

First it happens when I apply brakes. Then when I accelerate it comes again. Might be a mount issue.

It occurs during the breaking process. When the car is stopped (or near to getting stopped) sound comes. And when I accelerate, it comes again.

I recently bought this Honda Civic Ek3 1998(Ferio) car. This is the third week that I am using this car. Now there is a strange 'dakas' noise coming from the bonnet area from passenger side. It sounds like something is getting engaged & disengaged. I am a real newbie for vehicles. This sound comes when I press the brake hard while going at normal speeds (40-60). And when I start to accelerate again that sound comes sometimes. This is an auto vehicle. Any idea???

There are two swithces on the steering wheel. One for sport mode(S). Other one is for E-->D. Don't know what it does

Yes. Letters are P, R, N, D, L near the gear shift. So it is a CVT. Then I got to change it ASAP. However its only 5000 km from last gear box oil change. I will change it in next service. Thanks for the replies.

Yes it has a Ferio badge. My concern is, if it is CVT I have to change gear box oil every 15000 km (as far as I know). But the previous owner said change in 40000 km is enough. I am a bit worried about it. No problems found in the gear box yet. Working smoothly.
