Looking for review/feedback about the MG4 electric car. Specifically looking for price, reliability, battery longevity after usage. Also after 8 years will the car have any resale value.? If anyone has used this car also comment any feedback and review about the Sri Lanka agent "Micro cars"

After waiting for some time after Covid I feel like the vehicle market is not down anymore. I would appreciate if someone provide some general guidance on vehicle market on 2023 and spending somewhat higher price for cars like Yaris or Premio. Last time I check with Toyota Lanka as I recall they charge around Rs 50,000 (it's crazy) to program a key. But due to my transponder wasn't intact I managed to switch the transponder to a new key from Rs 1000. But the key cutter said they can also do the programming for around Rs6000. You can find them in Daly road. Hope this helps.

There are new research findings about the extremely low frequency (ELF) & electromagnetic radiation (EMR) or magnetic fields in Hybrid and Electric cars. I have seen documents to prove the fact. Seems like ELF & EMR is low in the cabin but it's high outside of the vehicle. Is there anyone out there who can comment on this fact? Please find below video for more information; Thanks a lot.

Hi, After the new budget came 2 days back in 2016, I decided to go for an economical car. My spec is as follows; Maximum budget is Rs 3.2Mil. Not an Indian make. Considering safety & after market value. Non hybrid Fuel economy is a must. If someone can point me some directions for a car that can match above requirements that would be super awesome. Hi Folks, Let me explain my situation. I have a RAV4 2WD car (with 2400cc) . I am doing majority of my traveling inside Colombo and the RAV4 is giving me just around 8Km/L. I know RAV4 is not about fuel saving. But due to fuel economy I am trying to switch my vehicle to a smaller much fuel efficient alternative. Daihatsu Mira and Toyota Pixis is in my radar currently. If someone can shed some light in to following that would be great. Good (brand new/second hand) car around Rs 3Mil range with very good fuel economy. Car must be a Japanese car (no Indian cars) and no hybrid please. Second hand value for Daihatsu Mira and Toyota Pixis or similar make. Spare parts availability for above both or similar make. Is Selling a car like RAV4 a good move during current vehicle market situation. Because RAV4 is a good car. I know I am asking a lot here from you guys. But as a very frequent AutoLanka forum fan I think someone can give me some insight to my issues. Thanks a lot in advance. Cheers

Well it's great to see lot of comments on this. But this is old thread but I would like to put my comments here if someone needs it. I have the 2WD version of the RAV4. My daily commute is around 25Kms per day. I am travelling in highly congested areas in Colombo and I am getting around 8Km/L. Compared to other cars; be it 121 I don't think you can get 13Km/L-15Km/L in Colombo heavy traffic. About the car it self it's a nice car. And it's very fun to drive. When I go in southern highway I normally get around 13Km/L-14.5Km/L. About spare-parts they are bit expensive. But unless it's a very old RAV4 you don't get repairs very often. It's a quality build car. One quick advice if you are travelling 100Km a day for entire month RAV4 won't be a good idea. Switching to a fuel economical vehicle make sense.

Is there any recommendation of places to buy Genuine Toyota 10W-30 engine oil in Colombo with reasonable price (cheap)? Any recommendations with pricing (if possible) would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Hey, I have a Toyota RAV4. Manufactured year is 2006. I need to adjust the headlight beam and not sure how to do it. Can someone please shed me some light into where I can find the adjuster screws in RAV4 (note the car hasn't got the automatic adjuster button in the dash) Thanks

I see there are lot of imports of hybrid vehicles into Sri Lanka these days. Is this a sign of the 2nd hand market being collapsed and people loosing their money? As a owner of a normal petrol car owner what we need to do, sell it and go for hybrid? Will that fix the problem? Feel free to share your ideas. Thanks
