  1. oh! i see....i was pointing out things which a new console buyer should consider...not trying to start a flame war (or whatever crazy names you folks call'em) i was trying to make a comparison with pc and current-gen ... if my opinion didn't matter you could leave it be, no need to call names....
  2. there are morons who attack others for voicing their opinion...it's a forum you jerk....
  3. Thanks all for your valuable feedback, there is this shop in maharagama that sells yamaha goods, it's between maharagama odel and singer electronic store went there just check their products.. bought a Behringer sound system , it wasn't cheap though it had aux input so it's a great option to use karaoke with...
  4. if it is still relevant i'm going to give my opinion ;-P you could say PC is the best choice but it's a very expensive thing to maintain but i recommend anyone who is a fan of games like COD,WoW,dota2,starcraft , the plus side will be online play(if you go legit) you can play them when ever you like with out having to pay for monthly or yearly online membership(unlike PS or XB) . if you are not elitist pc user you won't be able to enjoy all the eye-candy with respectable framerates. building a USD1000 or greater is the obvious choice , don't expect cheaper VGA's and Processors to do a top-of-the-line performance in any new game also pc systems gets obsolete fast, because every year newer, powerful and efficient components come into the market. but if your going for XBone or PS4, you can have properly ported games (and some last gen titles remastered for ps4) , a game will cost Rs.10k but you get to enjoy eye-candy with atleast 30fps, sure like i said online play is a costly affair but once you buy it (atleast you get some free goodies on PS4) it'll be a well worth purchase for me i tend to stick with pc for multiplatform games....and exclusives like inFamous and GTA5 (still not out for pc) i use the PS4.. be sure to check out the region locks on xbox1 i bought the ps4 and gta5 from chelsey , good place to buy your current gen console search for a guy called gameking in sri lanka , he brings down titles for a bit less...(pc and ps4) hope this helps! ;-)
  5. Hi!!! i'm looking on the web for some places to visit to buy a tower speaker pair, i'm not a audiophile , just a average joe but looking for something thats inexpensive and of good quality in build and sound i've seen them innovex IAS-001 at a showroom , but wasn't able to listen to it. it looks okay, i dont like those hifi systems that has crazy physical designs,..but this looks a bit minimalistic, any other places to look out for i'm not looking for a 5.1 system . just a pair of decently powerful speakers... it's for home entertainment not for pc any pointers with links would be nice.. Thanks in advance
  6. Thanks mates...especially kusal6 Hopefully I'd bag one pretty soon. I'll post some pics when i get it
  7. Oh! great ;-) went on a test drive...and this thing is huge ..driver elevation is good...i was impressed with it, as i said i'm on a budget and this thing is rewarding to drive...lol it's bigger compared to a montero and you feel it, i'm also thinking of getting the GL..do some work and change it's over-fenders to match the body..also the audio system replacement to something more hightech
  8. BTW is it possible to swap the center audio console to something modern, they still rock a cassette player in the y61.lol
  9. Thanks guys for your input,... Should give it a test drive soon I'll let you know about it.. Thanks again
  10. Thanks for your reply It retails for a bit less than 12 million Can't really find a brand new suv for that price So is there any issue with the transmission being automatic
  11. Hi Guys! I'm thinking about buying a Nissan Patrol Y61 that has been imported via A*W and i found it at a car sale. it fits my budget but i was told the 3liter turbo diesel with auto-transmission is not very powerful( i'm not planning to tow anything) with comparison to the manual version i'm not a off-road type of a person just that this thing is big and will be very useful to me any owners or people who have driven a y61 can you shed some light on this thanks,
