I'm just eager to know the capabilities and potential of hybrids.. when compared to similar priced gasolines. pros as well as cons when it comes to performance. Not just fuel economy.

So! you believe a prius cant keep up with a piaggio eh? What made you think so? road-hogging drivers? if so blame the drivers, not the car. If you can explain why a prius cant keep up with a piaggio or any cars I hve mentioned above, please do so. That will help all future car buyers and car owners of this forum.

This way I have a duel-purpose vehicle no? normal cruising I save more than them, and if I want to have some fun I can make them gas guzzlers eat my dust and I have lesser maintaining expenses (eg: brake pad)

^ The point is I can win while maintaining bettr eco. more power for less fuel. why only "keep up"?

So that means I can outrun them while maintaining a better fuel economy than them right? I thought gasolines accelerates better. Speedwise prius should be the winner as more CC ( 1600 vs 1800) , two engines, (meaning more hp) and lightweight chassis. I wonder why some ppl still think hybrid is a failure in SL..

A fellow owner had discuss this on facebook: ප්‍රියස් එකකත් ඇත්තේ අභ්‍යන්තර දහන එන්ජිමක්. එහි මෝටරයේ බලය එන්ජිමේ බලයෙන් 1/3 ක් විතර. එහෙත් ප්‍රියස් එකේ ත්වරණය ඉහත වාහනවලට වඩා වැඩියි කියා මට හිතෙනවා. Hello fellows, I'm kinda asking because Im curious - I own a 3rd gen 1.8ltr prius. If I compete with same priced gasoline vehicles like Mazda 3(1.6), Honda civic(1.6), Lancer EX (1.6), Toyota axio (1.5),(without mods) which one will win? your ideas?

See why I needed your guys help? These two are VERY competent... :'( When considering Maitenance, Fuel and spare parts, which is the winner? Which would be your choice?
