  1. I have faced the same about a year ago. No option but to remove the windscreen and refit, Try samarasinghe
  2. I met Janatha Motors Guy at a jogging path recently they no longer deal Fiat spares
  3. IMO great car with good handling ,comfort and smooth performance BUT sourcing spares- even a fuse- in SL will be a nightmare. Not to discourage you but my own experience.
  4. There are number of assembly plants coming up. Mostly for motor cycles and scooters. The govt policy is to encourage the value addition in Sri Lanka so that to set off excise duty proportionate to the value addition. Tyres, battery, seats etc. are locally sourced and in some light trucks bucket and silencer are also manufactured here. There are plans to get down bare body to paint here. So hope this policy stay for a while to establish an industry.
  5. Matroska is correct. The engine should capable enough to pull the load without stress to gain fuel economy. My RAV4 does 8kmpl in city with 2.4 engine. So be happy with your fuel figures
  6. It was a brougham actually but the badge was 'Cedigham' imported by agent for a minister.
  7. I really agree with Magnum. Y33 was the most comfortable car I have ever used. It does not matter how long the journey when you are in it. But to mention ground clearance is quite low so that you hardly can go out of tarmac. The following was taken near Kotmale Area about 7 years back. Isn't she a beauty?
  8. Correct. It's a Humber Hawk actually. Over to you Matroska.
  9. Sorry dear. It is not a Vauxhall.
  10. No experience about KIA but as an user of 2009 RAV4 it is a very reliable machine for me and comfort of course OK. Fuel economy is about 8- 11 depending on the traffic but for an engine of 2.4 it's fair enough as to my opinion. Great pulling but not very fancy interior though. This is purely my views
  11. Here we go. In this model car I got my driving test on Ratnapura New Town. Examined by great classic car enthusiast late Mr. Tilney L Peiris.😊
  12. When it comes to genuine parts I can recommend AISIN and SEIKEN brake components from the two famous importers from Panchikawatte since I've seen the original shipping docs coming from Japan. sorry if I am violating any forum rules here.
