Allion/Premio is the only Toyota JDM saloon in recent history to go through 3 facelifts. And the thing is, there are people buying them, at 8 million a pop.

Now now @asrock, don't insult the Lancer. It's not that bad. :)

Honestly though, Mitsubishi hasn't done justice to their flagship sedan for a decade while Subaru has produced three new Impreza models since 2007. That's just plain disappointing. According to the prevailing situation, I wonder if Mitsubishi will ever be as good as it once was.

Doubt it. I mean take the Montero/Pajero/Shogun, 17 fkn years with the same design being reworked over and over again. It's like they just don't care about it anymore, which is a pity because the Pajero from 83 was ground breaking in so many ways.

  7. +1 for changing lights but has to go along with rear bumper skirts.
  8. you can source the ignition coil for CS3 from local market. I did it from 5upr3m3 m0t0r5 delkanda and if i can recall correctly it cost me around 6500-7000K. You can give them a call and check prices as well. Also I had to replaced them as head of coil came off the plug wire - while servicing - and not because rubber was swollen as @Davy mentioned. I did change it from the adjacent garage to the shop as i did not worry too much about the place as it was not a big job.
  9. Thanks trinity, Davy& Heshan and others for letting us know. i just checked with UM and they confirmed me mine not under the recall list. further they mentioned they have received set of chassis numbers from Mitsu which are subjected to this recall.
  10. Hi, as Davy said before, both has same type of knobs and it is just a matter of swapping these two stickers which can be done easily. However in my case those were in the right places.
  11. Wow well done. as others said. pretty neat job like right out of the factory. I know how hard this is after my failed attempt. Davy you might have noticed
  12. Trinity, if i'm correct you can't fix original power shutter switch - specially the master - to the pre-face lift version. it does not have enough space fix the switch. hence i don't think even door frame is having required slots to fix screws and all. Further used master switch itself cost you around 12K and hard to find. And yes as Trinity said, doors can be sourced comparatively easy if you are living around Colombo. i would suggest you to swap doors if you really want to convert from manual to power doors.
  13. haha. reason i can remember very well as even i found the contact details you had posted on the thread which i used to buy the spoiler at that time
  14. you might find the contact details to CS spoiler if you had gone through very same thread little bit more

  16. okay machan. keep us posted... 205 would be awesome :-)
  17. 15" and with the tire width of 195, isn't it? if i'm correct tire width of current set of your tires is 185.

  20. Thanks guys this is catchy. yeah very well this should be. yeah machan. nothing different from the OEM controllers. it has the same spaces to come out the light and display the indicators with no difference
  21. Hi Guys, I decided to convert my CS3 dashboard into a double din setup. My car came with the factory stereo and an in-dash 6 CD changer located at the bottom of the dash. This is how it used to look like: Note that I have removed the AC regulator knobs before the DIY. In order to do this, I had to obtain a double din conversion kit from eBay. This is what I got: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-METRA-95-7017B-DOUBLE-DIN-DASH-KIT-FOR-2002-2007-MITSUBISHI-LANCER-/181819356245?hash=item2a55473455 As you can see, the kit came with a kit that is 100% identical to the double din setup that comes in some JDM CS Lancers. The complicated part here is re-locating the AC controls to the lower part of the dash (where the CD changer is in the above photo). The first step was to remove the bezel around the stereo and the bezel that holds the CD changer in place. Then removed the head unit and the AC controls so that they can be relocated to where the CD changer was. Since this is a manual AC system with airflow controlled by a cable-operated system, it was not just an unplug-relocate-plug thing. Rather, the cables needed to be removed so that the AC control panel could be detached from the dashboard, then re-attach the cables through the CD changer opening. After the AC was relocated, it looked like this. As you can see the AC bezel that I got from eBay is a black one, I will need to get it resprayed to match the color of the dashboard. I tested the AC controls, air redirection and everything seemed to work as expected. The next part was to source a matching double din head unit. I was keen on buying a branded unit that had Bluetooth and support for a reverse camera, so I got hold of this. The model is Pioneer AVH-275BT and the unit cost me 38K including a reverse camera. few snapshot while installing the unit. mic and reverse camera after installing the unit overall it was not that difficult than i thought and really happy with the outcome. kudos to Davy who helped me to make this happened even sharing every steps to follow - which wanted to do by himself so badly - and specially to come out with this post :-)
  22. trinity, it must be an auto. my previous car, being a manual 1.3L, did around 10 kmpl in colombo - not careful driving though. But my daily drive is around 9.30AM and 7PM in parliament /baseline roads which matters my numbers as i believe.
  23. guys referring to the ride you two passing each other exactly two years back??
