Hey Razo, Your ride really looks cool man (Of course agree with you on the Grill part, saw your comment on my fellow thread ) I still couldn't drop in at any of those places for a grill replacement, anyways if you come across any ideal place pls keep me posted k. BTW guys mine's a 1300CC & does approx 13-15 Km's in City without A/C. I am sure your ride's should do equally or more, as GummyBR suggested get some proper tuning done. Cheers

  5. Hey Kim, Warm wishes for a fantastic B'day Cheers
  6. Yes machan earlier they used to quote seating capacity including the driver but now they quote it minus the driver. Sad to hear that they messed up your name Guys, heard that there is a process to change old no's into English plates. Any of you already done it ? Any idea about the process + costs involved ? Cheers
  7. Hi Warthog, Welcome to the AL forums Machang BTW is this the model you have ? Cheers
  8. Agreed Madmax. Guess Pila pointed out the real scenario clearly. Actually the published numbers are the total registered customer base only. With any operator at any given time there is a % of non active & temp disconnected base. Eventhough its true that there are operators who sell beyond their capacity, there is also another side to it. Actually for Eg if you take Location say "kandy town 1" the network planning dept will decide how many subscribers can be connected at a time thru this tower. There is a thing called 'Channels' fitted in every tower which handles customers in multiples of 4 if I remember. Heavy research & monitoring is done on this segment specially when the area or the tower is new. Once they identify a routine call pattern, they smooth sail on this data (rarely increasing Channels [capacity] if there are load of customer complaints). But what happens on a crisis situ is that this ratio increases tremendously hence creating netowrk congestion. In normal situation the operators tend to maintain these channels at minimal level coz increasing channels is very COSTLY. Remember they are very concerned on ROI. In addition as Pila mentioned the other operators also play a key role in something called 'interconnection' where network call transferring takes place. What to do, gotta survive with what we've got ah this is SL
  9. Hi StarScream, Tks for sharing your experience with us. I guess for the above list we have to add the "Revenue License & Insurance Doc's" as well. For me it cost only only 1750.00 (Sorry I can't remember the breakdown but if any of you guys need pls let me know) Also I guess for english numbers along with the registration book they will also require something called the VIC (Vehicle Identity Card, Correct me if I am wrong) They accept applications until 11 am & delivery starts from 2 pm onwards. Small note of advice : Pls re-check data prior to leaving the premises coz on mine they had mentioned the seating capacity as -1 (minus one) So after a bit of argument & fuss they printed a new one for me on the spot. Cheers
  10. Have a gr8 B'day Fuzzo, Cheers
  11. Hi Zul, Beautiful ride bro, Congrats Cheers
  12. Machang pay some serious concentration to the expert comments you've already received thru AL members re the proper diagnosis. Anyways if its confirmed that the issue with the ECU may be my friend can help you out. I guess there's a specific ECU number which differentiates MT & AT. Get the proper ECU number & call Afzal (removed) & tell that you are a friend of mine. I beleive he can help you out with his collection. Don't worry there's no hidden commissions for me Anyways good luck with your project ! Cheers

  17. Hi mate, Machang my ride is Colt C1 (Hatchback) 5 Door - YOM 1987. Its a 1300CC / 5 Speed Manual transmission. I've got P/S, A/C & 14" Alloys in it. To be frank machang this is my first ride & I am not an expert on the technical side to review + & - points It basically runs whenever I accelerate Actually the guys @ AL are doing a wonderful job for people like me coz whatever knowledge I have gained upto date is thru AL members & their advice. It does about 12 to 15 km/ltr in Colombo without A/C. So far haven't faced much critical issues in terms of parts I think most of the similar era models are compatible. So far for me it had proved to be a wonderful & reliable machine & the car is in stock mode. Haven't got into any serious modifications or performance upgrades done. But my particular model C1 (1984 - 1988) is a bit rare here in SL roads but the previous model (A15) is to be seen on the roads frequently. The A15 model (1978 - 1983) I guess the price may vary depending on the number & condition between LKR 2.5 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs based on present ratings. may be I am wrong coz I am no expert on the field Click here to see some images of my ride Cheers
  18. Hi Velocity, Really appreciate your valuable advice in terms of quality, durability & consequences. Tks mate, Cheers
