  1. Thanks a lot for the advice. 😊😊😊
  2. Hi guys, currently I drive a Premio 2013 model. Planning for a SUV for same price range. (9-10mil) What would be your suggestion out of these two. (1998 Prado or 2011 Sorento) Monthly ride around 1200km. Main concerns are easy maintenance and Comfort. And 7 seater would be preferred. Like to know real world fuel figures also. Heard Sorento doing 12kmpl in city and morethan 16kmpl in outstation. So my first choice is Sorento. But durability is a concern. After 2-3 years which will be having the better market? Or any other option for the price. Thanks in advance.
  3. My Premio 260 model with 70k km mileage has a gear slipping while accelerating from 0. This occurs only when going up a hill. When driving in a traffic and stop the car in D position and when trying to accelerate engine rpm goes up and vehicle moves with a slight delay with a knock/jerk. Can hear the noise too from the engine compartment. Otherwise it drives smoothly. This doesn't happen always, but happened several times. Maintenance done properly including CVT oil change at 40k km. Agents checked and said its normal for the model. (Normal gear slipping???) Called Nilwala Motors, and they too said it's a common issue in the particular model which can't be corrected. It's really annoying, as it is a significant jerk. Suppose if you are driving a manual gear car on a hill and in clutch balance, you accelerate the car and suddenly release the clutch pedal, then you know how it moves... It is the same feeling I have when I get the so called problem. Anyone had the similar experience? Is this a symptom of CVT gear box failure? Any solution to repair or over come the issue?( What I do is keeping left foot on the brake pedal and right foot on the accelerator pedal and giving a clutch balance like thing, but its not a proper solution) Highly appreciate expert opinions. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, Thought to share my 2 weeks experience of my JDM Civic Sedan 1.5L Turbo. I've imported it from Japan for my permit with 600km on the clock. What I like in this car, 1) Great eye catching look; both professional and sporty 2) Amazing Turbocharged engine 3) Very comfortable ride 4) Excellent fuel economy; 18.8kmpl in long distance and average 14+kmpl in Anuradhapura 5) Quality black leather interior with power adjustable front seats 6) Honda sensing and a lot more options 7) Spacious What I don't like, 1) Lack of front passenger seat height adjustment and lack of power lumbar support 2) Low ground clearance (not a big issue as I had same in my previous 3rd gen Prius) What I need to know from the experts, 1) Why can't I start it with the dedicated remote engine start button? May be the car doesn't come with the remote starter system even though the key has the button. 2) Is 0W20 Mobil fully synthetic oil is the choice. And when to change the viscosity.
  5. But I'm referring 1.5litre sedan. Not 1.0L hatchback.
  6. Yes you are correct. But I'm not a fan of hatchback. But I think1.5L sedan is much better than 1L 3 pot UK hatchback. And 2.0L is not affordable for me.
  7. Good. Nice to hear atleast a few civics will be here in Sri Lanka. So there won't be problems in spares.
  8. Finally decided to buy Honda Civic 2017 from Japanese auction. 1.5litre turbo sedan LC opened Thank you for your comments
  9. Thank you for your advice. By the way, I prefer an automatic.
  10. Guys what is your opinion about Honda civic 2017 1.5l turbo sedan. Looks great with a lot of options and very good fuel economy. I'm worried about these 1. Made in Thailand 2. Very few cars seen in our country (2nd hand market value and availability of spares) I'll be getting my permit next December. Thought to buy the civic 2017. Agents claim 6.5 million for permit. Premio will be 5 million. What you guys think. Is it worth spending extra 1.5 million for a civic over very very common premio, with above questions in mind. At the moment I have Toyota Prius 2014.
