1. did any of you add permit vehicle prices to the equation. government says they have reduced some percentage from the standard tax which is way higher than the permit vehicle tax. so in fact this tax reduction is mostly a numbers game which has no effect on mid to high end car prices. am i right?
2. not sure why a senior manager would drive a MS instead of a nice comfortable city car or CUV. I own one cause I have to visit sites that dont have proper access roads and so far it has being getting me there in style. the handbrake lever of MS needs to bepushed completely to disengage otherwise vehicle will keep moving while handbrakes partially engaged. This has happened to me few times on first month of owning the vehicle. handbrake indicator lamp is sometimes covered by the steering wheel and as MS has a high pulling power you wont easily notice that handbrake is not completely disengaged.
3. is there a link between mitsubishi and viva elite other than being sold by Unit#d Mot#rs? eg technology partnership etc.?

5. I saw on an article nissan leaf was having a high recall rate in Florida and apparently it was due high humidity in Florida which has shortened the battery life of the vehicle. not sure whether they have improved that already.
6. damn believe me or not its just a typing mistake, should be corrected as ' I haven't done much of off roading but have driven on sand dunes and rocky roads where non off roaders can't go through.'
7. it feels flawless when off roading. I havent done much of off roading but have driven on sand dunes and rockey roads where no off roader can go through. once on the right gear (superselect 4WD) it gets through efortlessly.

12. I am genuinely interested to know coz I already own the 2012 MS and trying to figure how much its gonna affect the 2nd hand value. But this thread is now useless unless some one really knows what exactly i'm talking about..I did search over the internet but didn't find a clue. Think they either have done this modification for Sri Lanka only or they are trying to hold people from buying other SUVs until this one is released officially.
13.
Hi Guys what do you think about this new model. I searched on internet but couldn't find any other information than whats available in the below advert. Would be great if you got any insights to share, also general opinions about the new model in contrast to old (2008-2013) one.

14. 'selling' a permit is right or wrong?, in fact you can't sell a permit, what actually happens is a permit holder lending his vehicle to another party for 3 years with a committed mutual agreement(contract) to sell/buy the vehicle in 3 years. permit holder gets a fee for that service and he is in fact legally bound to honor the agreement (if things done correctly) normally this sort of deals shouldn't be done between strangers as you would never know how the other party would react during contract period and afterwards. some of the areas where this deal might go wrong are Buyer hasn't got the right documents and permit owner claims such agreement never happened. Permit owner dies and his spouse or children try to claim the full ownership of vehicle Petition to permit issuers office by a third party that might just result some inconveniences for the vehicle owner(permit holder) without any legal actions or penalties unless the vehicle has been actually transferred to the current user by signing transfer documents. ps. i'm no expert in this area, just telling what i was told by our lawyer
