  1. Guys what is your infortainment wallpaper.. I use this, I think I got it from CivicX site
  2. I replaced the rear shocks on my FC1 at Stafford. The existing ones are repaired and kept. I repaired it in a place in Nittambuwa through a colleague
  3. Sorry for your misfortunes with the car. I had AC condenser leak and got it replaced at the place next to Nawalanka in Dehiwala. I also replaced the shock when I bought it, as it had both rear shocks leaking oil. (by the way, I repaired it and kept it in case we run out without spares. Goodyear tyres are said to be around 40k at Carguys, Kohuwala who gave me 4 of those for 107k begining of last year.
  4. I'm having a problem with the infotainment system & speed dialing. Whenever I connect a different phone to run Android Auto, it clears out all the speed dials set up. Is it normal. In my case, I'm carrying two phones. but what if the vehicle is used by two person like Husband & Wife.
  5. I previously used a Prius with 185-sized tyres on 15 or 16 inch alloys and had a hard time with the ground clearance, At the very first tyre change, I shifted to 195 tyres which mostly solved the problem in my day-to-day use. If I recall correctly, the Civic has a 215-sized tyre and a larger alloy compared to the Prius. So far I have not faced the challenges I had with Prius with my Civic. last week I managed to take it through a kind of a bend which usually requires a couple of forward and reverse menueres to pass with my Ex-Prius 😊.
  6. Guys sad news, my left side mirror lens got stolen last night near Wellawathe Foodcity. Don't know how much it's going to cost, Any ideas?. Insurance needs a police entry it seems.
  7. Interesting note that the fuel type is mentioned as 95, whereas the sticker on the fuel lid says 91.
  8. Isn't a non-hybrid mid-sized car achieving 24kmpl something unbelievable?
  9. I saw this question on fuel consumption a few days ago, since it was on 1000CC I didn't bother to respond as mine is a 1.5L. However, I keep records of Odometer and fuel costs using an app called "my cars". I have done 22,080km & 55 refuels since purchase and 95% of the time pumped 95OCT. Fuel stats are as follows, best - 6.37L/100km (15.7kmpl) worst - 13.36L/100km (7.49kmpl) (full week in Colombo traffic running between Lady ridgeway hospital and home) Average - 9.11L/100km (10.98kmpl) My average run per month is 1,148km with AC on. Hope this helps
  10. In case if you are interested in keeping the infotainment system screen off without the clock and wallpaper, it could be achieved by setting the wallpaper to blank and turning off the clock. the display goes completely off and turns on when required. Hope I'm not doing something not good for the car system.
  11. Hi, Anyone recently replaced the wiper blades or refiled the existing blades. My one need a change, don't know where to find a good product without paying a hefty price at Saffords.
  12. Once I pretty much raced from Colombo to Kandy, in between locking VTEC at high RPMs. Fuel efficiency was worse than Colombo city running. Keeping the RPM low helps lot with fuel efficiency & passenger comfort.
  13. At least my one never shut down the engine ever since I bought it. may be due to the fact it is a 1.5L Australia import, as opposed to most being UK imported.
  14. I didn't know CIVIC has Idle engine stop feature..
  15. I was hoping to find a similar thread for Montero Sports 2012 in the forums, to help a colleague to find a harness for his vehicle. Unfortunately, not all the vehicle owners are lucky enough to have a dedicated thread in the forum it seems. By the way, if you guys know any places to get hold of harnesses, and inhibitor switches for the Montero Sports please do let me know..
