  1. I did... I thought it was implied when I said "I rest my case".
  2. I rest my case... ps: Some Hater displays his "@$$" and I become the joker... hah hah. What a world we live in.
  3. Already done. But I don't think it will result in any action being taken against the Hater because I was made to understand that most of you know each other on a "personal level".
  4. Yes, thanks whmsujith. Your intention is totally acceptable. It's just that some Haters couldn't stand the fact that your thread was of little importance to them.
  5. 1. The reply was for the second guy alright, but it was "about" the OP. 2. If someone tried to "punch" a person who had nothing but the intention of helping out some other people, should you be OK with it? Would you?? 3. Standing up against something which is not ethical doesn't make one a "girl". Yes it gives the local perspective most of the times and I appreciate that a lot. The thing is, Google never gives anyone the "@$$" when you try to find out something which might be straightforward to most people and maybe not you. So you're right in a sense... Google can't really give you the sort of response that the Hater would give. Correct, it doesn't lie within the members who display hatred and vulgarity. I'm not talking about a "moral police" here. More threads will lead to arguments about the way seniors respond to newbies if this is not dealt with. That's what I said. Come on, it shouldn't be that hard to be polite now is it?
  6. Toronto suddenly speaks Sinhala now. And I thought this was a forum where you should communicate in English only. Before asking someone to follow, make sure you do. He talks highly about patience in his signature, but I guess it's as distorted and warped as the Astina right above it. Now go back to what you were doing in Toronto. This was an issue with the Hater's "@$$", not yours, so I'm going to ignore your sick statements. True. That doesn't mean you can forget about the forum etiquette as you become a senior. I've seen that myself and I agree with you. But I'm sure you understand that not everyone is as good as you or Ripper or the Hater or so many senior members when it comes to cars. In times like that, the best you can do is to either offer a helping hand or plain and simple.... "keep quiet". As I have mentioned earlier, there is no hard and fast rule saying that you're supposed to reply to every thread on the forum. Thanks for being civilized. PS: I wonder if the Moderator will let us have this discussion on a dedicated thread.
  7. Actually, it was not "nothing"... it was "something" and many other members including myself saw how unethical it was. A newbie comes along and posts something which was already discussed + which was irrelevant etc. There is a proper way of communicating that fact to him/her isn't there? We're not animals to be barking at each other are we? THAT is my point. I hope you of all people understand. I admit to the fact that I have not contributed to this forum technically, well anyone can find out about technical stuff, but contributing by pointing out about moral qualities – no one can Google that for you now can they? I'll remind the Hater or anyone else if something like this happens again. Standing up for what’s right is not a crime.
  8. Ripper and Watchman, thank you for responding in a civilized manner (since my last post). Appreciate it. However, Hater's behaviour cannot be justified. For the rest who have nothing but the female reproductive system in their heads... ""
  9. Not a keyboard hero but it's "Schwarzenegger", not "schwazenegger". And oh yes... ""
  10. When they can't defend, they will offend. (with the only possible word that was used on him by the parents - "retard"). Ignore with a " "; Otherwise this thread also might end up having filth more than facts about the Elantra. Edit: Oh wait... the Hater has displayed his @$$ here as well. Too late.
  11. Now the hater is trying to devise a new forum constitution so that he can get away with his hatred. Sin Sin Sin... I'm going to take the advice from that YouTube video and say something to the Hater since it's pointless trying to talk some sense into him (besides, his parents have failed too, so why bother). And that is: For all his followers: :)
  12. Ignoring the sticks and stones... I know it itches a lot when someone speaks the truth about the Hater since everyone now seems to be knowing each other in a "personal level". But that is your problem. Not trying to be a "hero", just speaking the truth. I'd rather live on the forum for one day with a positive attitude rather than spread the "hate" for years and years. I agree on the fact that it would be beneficial if we had a few more moderators to QA the posts; this thread wouldn't have had the post "important my @$$" if we did.
  13. Maybe in Canada. Not over here. The topic was about fueling up, and the Hater changed it to his @$$. So don't make this a political or country-specific issue. Besides, it's pointless talking to someone who has accepted unethical behaviour just because "the rest of the country" is going bad.
  14. 1. Are you justifying the Hater exposing his @$$ in front of the whole forum ethical, just because he has contributed a lot? 2. How can you talk about contributing when an innocent member is given the @$$ when he/she tries to contribute? Does that motivate a person to contribute? This is not an issue with experience or the level of contribution; it's an issue with attitude. This is not "maturity" or "working together" as defined here.
  15. well well well... I was right. My last message didn't go across. (In fact, the sole point that has gone across is the label "Hater" - which is very appropriate in my opinion) If you take the Hater's 2500 posts, I'm sure that about 10% goes into DIY (thank you!), 20% to sound advice (thank you!) and the rest of the 70% on useless statements such as "my @$$". Among the 70% of such useless statements, about 69% is the word "retard". (Which I believe has become close to him because either his siblings or parents used it on him) Looks like some of the hater's followers could also use that Netiquette read I shared earlier. The vulgarity seems to be running in the family.
  16. "Hater" hah hah!! "A picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million pictures". Well said. Let me put some points into perspective for the "Hater". - Importance varies from person to person. Saving a few bucks on fuel might be important to one; whereas for someone like the "Hater", importance means criticizing other people with totally lame statements. - There's no strict rule saying that you should poke your nose into every thread on the planet. If it's not important, keep that so called "@$$" out of it. - The first paragraph on the Wikipedia page for the definition of Troll (found here) speaks about the Hater totally. I guess what I am trying to say is implied. Finally, if any one of you does not know what netiquette is, this is for you: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1855 Let's see if the Hater understands now.
