  1. I tried to negotiate few 2017 SWIFTs into my budget. Most of the specimens are quoted 6.5m+. Anyway overall nice package though. Thank you again for cleaning many of my dobuts man. 👌
  2. Thanks for the comprehension man.In this case, I am leaning towards the FIT GP5. Currently using a third gen Prius 😑
  3. The sporty handling is less priority in this case as basically this is driven by wife, she doesn't cross the 50-60kmph mark anyway though. Very calm and soft driving style. My initial thought was that, Vitz is better in department of refinement of the ride, especially for rear seat passengers as specifically expected in this use case. Any thoughts guys ?
  4. Looking for a comfortable hatchback car to take kids home from school on weekends. The drive is 130kms from kandy to North central province through paved but twisty road including Hunnasgiriya, and 18 bends. one up and down trip per week (Less than 1200kms /month). Usually this journey induce vomiting on kids and it's quite difficult to complete without medications. Have a budget upto 5-6M and my main concern is comfort. since driving in remote roads, a common car easy to maintain would be ideal. Sedans are out of the equation due to parking space limitations. Have few choices in mind, if someone with first hand experiences would enlighten about comfort and ride quality, It would be a great help. ( Vitz 2016, Stingray 2018, Moda Passo 2017, Aqua 2014, Fit GP5 2015, Viva Elite 2013 ) .
  5. Looking for customising a gift car to family member. specially some emblems to be changed. you guys know any place to do the job? . I tried 3d painting a customised name, but the outcome is in black colour. I want the final to be chrome plated. Any leads guys ?
  6. It's 10000km between oil changes if you use fully synthetic oil
  7. Go for Mobil 0w40, they are even better than castrol
  8. No doubts. It's loan. Easy to early settlement. Less documents. Vehicle ownership is yours. You can sell the vehicle as you need when upgrade.
  9. To add up for the comparison. I have used both allion 1500 and 3Rd gen prius. Prius is way more ahead in acceleration department. Probably due to support from electric motor. People who complain about prius may be driving on eco mode. There's a power mode button on every prius.and pressing it awake the magic. In the expense of very low fuel figures.
  10. Can somebody post the link of mydeal for california perfume. Couldn't find it
  11. I can't exactly tell what's the going price now. But it's coming very hard to see good condition 2C beacuse it is very old by now. You are looking at 200-350k depending on the condition. And,later Caldinas came with 2C-TE and 3C-TE engines. Which are much more refined and fuel efficient. Non turbo 2C will spoil your whole car experience due to no acceleration at all. This range of 2c engines were there at carina/corona/corolla /noah/light ace/town ace and various models. Sourcing a one would not be that harder. Make sure to get all the stuff including wire harness.
  12. That S line is overpriced and sellers is short term owner for less than few months. This been advertised for long time since last year and somebody caught into the trap. Now he's willing to dispose with some profit, I smell fish, stay away
  13. I do travel on particular piece of Road twice a month.and for some unknown reason the potholes were patchworked by someone earlier. Currently it seems not happening, the road is still great, unless there are some unexpected massive potholes which can break your suspension. Road seems neglected on maintainance,I can list numbers of roads now going on zero maintenance, don't know how it happens, but it happens.
  14. Raja mawatha Road is one of the most beautiful pieces of Road that I have seen in Sri Lanka, other one is Mahaoya - maduruoya stretch.spectacular view with elephants. Regarding Raja-mawatha, there are Wild elephants but they are so friendly. No direct attacks, such hungry animals though. PS-there are few large potholes on the road recently.maintenance have been abandoned by YAHAPALANE people. Go there quickly beacuse it's going to be bad Road soon and that is some spectacular view you get in SL.
  15. Innovex pressure washer and vaccume cleaners are new additions to the line-up. I am not aware of the reliability. But I will buy any Innovex product from damro due to their excellent reputation for after sales service.
  16. @pressealover - You seriously underwent ayurvedic surgery? An AYURVEDIC? Let me explain you young guy... Since it's a back pain it's come under neurosurgery. Which is very sophisticated branch of modern medicine and even very experienced hands with full facilities will think twice before opening into your spine. The ayurvedic man must be hell of a crook open into your spine. It's so happy that still you are in one piece. Modern medicine is known as evidence based medicine., so it just updated so rapidly with new knowledge. Ayurveda is obsolete myth which lot of countries even doesn't allow to practise. Resolving symptoms doesn't mean cure.underlying cause must be addressed. Meet a neurosurgeon and seek for MRI to see what has happened. Sigh
  17. Ist doesn't come with electronic power steering.
  18. Ingredients mixer is standard part in some and optional accesory on some other brands. And that's useless and nowhere closer to applying by hand. Pressure cannot be adjusted but the flow pattern can.so you can adjust the width of spray and get reasonable pressure on Wall. The tiny ray like sray is the most powerful and does damage the parts if you are not so careful.
  19. I use some Chinese mechine named as SKILL which says that they are a subsidiary of BOSCH.mentioned on the package though. Price was 17k. And it's quite powerful with 1400cc motor. Which generates adequate power to wash the car.it comes with a can for spray the shampoo and that's useless as it spray as small droplets but not as a foam. I have been using for past 2 months and so far no reliability issues. Sharing with 3 cars and it doesn't have heating issues as I experienced on previous KRACHER.
  20. The oil used was Mobil Delvac fully synthetic 5w40.as recommended.and thay have checked for obvious obstruction on the outflow oil line to engine with a help of feeding oil by a tube back and it flowed as per no obstruction at all. The reason to change engine was they and we were clueless what's happening. And no actual diagnosis with no way to go. Most importantly CARMART doesn't have such instruments to measure oil flow to turbo and they also use the same method. The problem is after 2 oil pumps,4 turbochargers and still same issue. It's the turbo propeller shaft is lax now and leaking oil from oil seals.and making nasty noise on operations.on the way to die.
  21. @rumesh - the recon engine was cleaned thoroughly new oil was used prior to starting. No obvious block was visible by the look of the feed line flow
  22. @ Davy - garage didn't have specific equipments to measure out the oil pressure to turbo. They did the simple test of measuring the volume of oil pumped out by turbo feed in line.I have read in UK forums that lot of experts believe it's adequate oil pressure if the feed line can output 300ml of oil per munite when car is at idle. @Nismoz - the oil pump replaced with recon engine firstly and then agin got another oil pump with the replaced recon engine.
  23. I also faced the similar issues on my past 2 toyota cars, and that's certainly nothing to do with compressor clutch. There are small rotating shafts on your AC fan assembly to direct airflow on your commands. And open and close the fresh air vent. These parts / motors / wheels making this taka taka noise which is difficult to get used to. I replaced mine with a used assembly.you don't need to remove dashboard to replace blower assembly. And don't remove dash unless it's really no option.the rattles will appear and never go again
  24. Guys need some help on one of my colleague's car. It's 2008 peugeot 407 diesel 1.6 manual. Currently 110k kms with maintenance history throughout agents. Turbo failure notice at 108k kms and he imported Garret branded one from UK and fixed.within 200kms it busted again. Sent the sample for warranty claim and their diagnosis at UK shop was oil starvation. While it arrives back . He fixed his original turbo after repaired locally by a reputed person with a genuine mallet repair kit. That one busted om few munites of first start. Repair was done at a place of the current car mart senoir mechanic and as per ther tests, oil pressure was normal and anyway recon engine was put into car with new oil pump.the oil pressure was adequate as per their observations. And its 300 ml on one munite ideal to be precise. After all this jumble the warranty turbo arrives after payment of 160 sterling pounds and fixed that with so called procedures from the garret agent, which lasted only another 1500kms. Now he's in total darkness with total bill is reaching 800k. The mechanic seems confident and dealt with known peugeots and does interestingly honest job.but fellow is clueless now. Carmart was contacted and their recommendation is to replace engine with turbocharger again with brand new from them. That's again another 1 million rupees plus. Any clue guys?
