Hey guys, I have a car that I own and love in New Zealand and want to get it to Sri Lanka. Its a 1983 Datsun 280zx (in my thumbnail photo). I do not think that there are any in Sri Lanka and so importing as a classic seems to be the only choice. Anyone know about this? Is it possible? Anyone done it recently? How old is "classic"? So many questions... Thanks for any help!

Hey guys, I was hoping to find out more about any 280zx cars in Lanka. This thread from a long time ago seems to have deviated a bit and I am hoping that someone has spotted a 280ZX somewhere in the Island in any condition in the meanwhile. Any sightings?? Also I presume that we cannot import cars of this age into Lanka? I have one in New Zealand and am trying to figure out how to get it to Lanka. Note that this is not the 240z or 260z or even the 280z. This is the 1979 - 1983 Nissan/Datsun 280zx with the fuel injected 2.8L straight six engine.
