  1. Both cars share mostly the same underneath. So if u prefer the 1500cc, allion is a notably more comfier, got nice legroom in the front and back.U get adjustable rear seats, map lights, optitron meter(illumination dashboard in sri lankan terms???) and a six speaker audio system as options that corolla doesn't have.at the same time u get a little sacrifice in the acceleration and fuel economy.fuel economy might be only 1-2kmpl difference.if u want more acceleration go for the zrt240 1800cc.it also returns better fuel economy when u do outstation. As for the corolla, 1500cc got enough power for daily driving.i've been using one for over 4 years still gives me no trouble.fine car.but can't bear the front end design.if u go for a corolla,go for a facelift one. as for finding one under 100k is a bit hard for both these cars.one of my relation got hold of a one y.o.m 2001 with J plates, and had only done 67000km.the car is in pristine condition. They are hard or maybe impossible to find again.
  2. It has a volkswagen 1.6 tdi engine.one of my friends own it
  3. Okay lets say my weight is 400kg.case closed.can u please focus on the topic???
  4. I was in the primera as a passenger. Both the drivers are well talented.Anyway lets get back to the topic abt the performance increase
  5. Anyway thanks for the details abt the mechanic.I use Toyota Genuine oil.I had used the Mobil 2000 but it did not last longer as the Toyota one.
  6. SR20DE got only 140hp.SR20VE got 190hp.Primera GT got SR20VE and X-trail GT got SR20VET
  7. Hello guys, I plan to keep my corolla 121 for a couple more years as I had to buy a new house. After driving couple of cars during last few days I realized that the 1nz-fe got a decent amount of power as an economy engine.Today my friend did a drag with a SR20DE swapped Primera and the Primera can't hold up with the Axio???.The both Axio and 121 have the same engine so i think the power is ok for daily driving, but i want to boost the power up a little bit.I have no idea of turbo/supercharging as it will be costly and i may need to swap a manual tranny also for the real benifit of forced induction. Also I don't want to add those fart cannons ??? which would definietly make me look like a ricer. What are the methods which I could increase 10-20hp without breaking the bank??? Where are the places i need to go for the upgrades??? I plan to add a chip box.Would it affect realiability?? I hope the experts will share there opinions. Thank You
  8. Basic one has the climate control a/c.but i'm not much sure abt the push start.i had travelled a short distance in a basic allion as a passenger at night.no illumination dashboard (no optitron meter).but the ride felt same. imo better to stick to a middle grade and add those chrome parts and other missing options.you'll only cost under 100k.
  9. I think 121 would suit u better according to ur concerns.
  10. Wow who is the mechanic???i have to go to autow**ld kurunegala for the repairs.
  11. I had gt champiro.excessive road noise.stiff.the i had nankang nk comfort.not good but ok.still using 2 of them, since 2014 may.they have done well over 20k kms.can do another 2k or 3k.i put falken sincera for the front are they are good.road noise is reduced and tire is a bit soft.next time i'm gonna replace the other two with falkens.
  12. Mate those topics have been discussed earlier many times.Use the search option.Anyway here is my opinion. Fuel economy - Axio Acceleration - Axio Features - Both have equal features but if u go for the luxel u get more options than allion g.(allion G package got no extra options other than minor cosmetic upgrades, such as teak panels in different colours and the silver colour shell.the lowest grade got a different meter panel which is probably yellow backlit, also the door pillars are body coloured while in the higher grades they are matte black finished) Handling - both are poor.sometimes allion would be better. comfort - felt the allion to be better.most of all i has ample space but the rear seat seating position is a bit lower (but the leg space is better).but it is not a problem for most owners. those multifunction packages are installed even in the lowest grade by sri lankan owners.we can't determine whether it is a g or basic package by the multifunction.i suggest u to go for a 1800cc version if you are going for the allion because the 1500cc is not much a mover for the weight.but for the axio g there's plenty of power in the 1500cc for a daily sri lankan driver.also u should consider some better rides like the lancer ex which are more comfortable and fun to drive.civic fd 1 is a good option unless u are worried abt the fuel economy and ground clearance. but if i were u i would grab a well maintained allion 2002-2006 model which are proved to be more reliable and comfortable than the newer ones.u might need to throw some extra money for the running repairs but it will serve you without much fuzz. Good luck.
  13. This car is the only Pulsar VZR N1 in sri lanka.Only 200 vehicles were produced. The RMT app shows now it belongs to Vallibel Finance. So i want to find this car.(find means to buy it or at least to drive it if not possible to buy it).If u know where the car is at now please be kind enough to send me the details.Thank you.
  14. 1.there was a recall on april.but it was only for 2013-2016 february models.so if u go for a zero milage, you'll be okay.anyway the hybrid system in vezel is very complex than the one in toyota,so more chances of getting trouble.ride is not refined and bumpy. 2.if its a zero you dont have to worry abt it 3.axio hybrid-considerably underpowered and stiff ride.but not stiff like the vezel. prius-should be the best bet when it comes to reliability.handling is better than axios allions and premios.a bit powerful.comfortwise its okay.but you have to sacrifice ground clearance.and the dashboard is very cheep looking axela hybrid- best one in looks, performanecw and handling.has the toyota hybrid system,so it should be reliable.
  15. Maybe the windscreen.???.other than fuel economy and the leakage issue i've never heard anything bad about it from an OWNER.anyway durability of the overall car should be better, because it is designed for sl roads.
  16. From what i've seen, almost all who moved from allion/premio 240 to allion/premio 260 are not satisfied.they still love the good old 240's.
  17. Why i mentioned that it is, -undepowered(because only a few units are available in 1.8l engine.so far i've seen none.if u go for the diesel the car itself will cost a fortune) -build quality(some doctors i know who got it for their permit said quality problems such as leaking water from the roof) -reliable(oh i forgot 141 should be more.no cvt so less maintainence) Anyway Axio can't beat the looks of the 141.Even if u own a 141 with red dash number most people will think you are a doctor ???
  18. jMajority of the allion/premio owners are like this. -Most of the time they drive the car to office/town and back to home (no chance of having the driving pleasure???) -For overtaking 3wheelers,LALs,good old other vehicles the 1.5l engine is more than enough. -After paying the loans monthly, taken for their houses and vehicles, only a little is left of the salary.(so unable to maintain european rides) -Their main purpose of driving is to save as much fuel as possible. -They want a troublefree simple ride For these requirements the premios/allions fit perfectly. The best example is my father. We've been having the 121 for more than 4 years but he is yet to hit above 4000rpm.But he does enjoy cornering in 121 saying how light the steering is.The good thing is he never calculate the fuel economy since the first few days after owning the car.For him a troblefree, bit comfier and easy ride is enough. The funniest thing is that most owners of allions/axios/premios doesn't even know that their car has no gears to change.More than 95% of them doesn't know their rear seats are adjustable.????
  19. Axio is better in every way than the 141, except their looks.axio is more, -economical -powerful -comfortable -reliable -well built -range of grades to choose(X,X limited,G,G limited,Luxel vs LX,GLI)
  20. I told what the owner said.before i bought the car,i inspected n17,n16,fb15,mazda axela.Anyway what you are referring should be a brand new imported one, which has stiffer suspension setup and high ground clearance.what i mentioned was x grade jdm.there is a well noticable difference beteween the ride quality of a jdm and a b/new import.but the seats of the sunny are too soft and makes u shrink???.another friend of mine got a 1.3l manual xli yom 2006 with same odo feels like travelling in a lorry.
  21. The problem why people believe allions and premios are the most comfortable, economical and sportiest is the price they pay for them.8 million for an allion and premio.pure econoboxes.but in usa u can get a brand new lexus ls for that price($63000).the funniest thing i've ever seen is the toyota corolla's brand new import price which goes over 10million.we are paying the same price that american pays for a full size luxury saloon, for an econobox.as the opposite the most pathetic thing i've seen is the merc e-class 2004 kompressor goes for 4 million while aqua cost more than 4million.simply "MEKA THAMAI ASIYAWE ASCHARYAYA"
  22. I myself own a H number, but many people asked me about the car.after a week i bought the car there was a price hike and a guy was ready to buy my car for 5lakhs more than the price i paid for it.if u have any garbage from toyota u can sell it here in sri lanka
  23. One of my friend owns both N17 super saloon 1.5l and corolla 121 x grade 1.3l auto.according to him 121 is far better.he says it's more comfy economical and better to drive.he also mentioned thet he will never sell the 121.i don't know the truth but he said so.also he is the one who persuaded me to go for a 121,and has been owning the car for more than 10 years
