  1. He is an engineer in slt.He bought the car and rented it to slt.He used it as his company vehicle. He drove the car himself. Also the car was well maintained.
  2. I have only driven the GP1 so far.Car is good and I think Insight might be the best bet.I know a guy who bought an Insight on 2011 and sold in 2016 for the same price, even after doing nearly 150000km.When he imported that car, the odo had only 16000km.He did not have any issues. If u prefer to use the car heavily, hybrid might be the best option.
  3. Today I had a ride in one of my friends Lancer CS1.1.3 manual.Have to say,the ride is so far one of the best japs I've been.Comfortable than a premio.Guaranteed.The car that I had a ride is an army owned one, done over 200k kms, even rusted but the ride is so soft.Less body roll.Is on CE#T tires.
  4. Better to stay away from Honda Dual Clutch systems which are far more complex which tends to give you problems in sri lankan climate.I think what iRage said is the best to do at the moment.
  5. Have driven both.Have been a passenger in both. Not much of a difference in comfort, but Aqua is better.Aqua is smooth and a bit more powerful.Fuel economy goes to Aqua.Options, interior, looks goes to Fit.
  6. You can find a well maintained Fit Area. But most of the Vios'es around here are abused.Vios is from thailand and Fit aria is from japan.Fit aria is famous for its Cvt gearbox issues, while Vios has a conventional Auto which is proven to be solid. Also the engine in Vios is the same thing you find in 121,Allion and Premio 240 and 260,Axio so maintainence might not be a problem. One of my father's friend has a Fit Area which has been using for about 6-7 years without an issue under extremely light usage as a second car. Both are good on fuel.Vios might be good at acceleration while Honda might provide you with better comfort.Vios has a bit hard ride.
  7. Why those Alto drivers think they got Ferraris??????Every day at least one or two get smoked trying to overtake me by honking as fools???

  8. Our next door swift(jeep model) also failed the eco test due to a faulty oxygen sensor. The oxygen senson was replaced previously by a place in Maspotha(near Kurunegala) where they totally destroyed the treads of the sensor due to careless work. The sensor was replaced by welding a nut over the slot and inserting a new sensor through the nut???.After few days the check engine bulb lit up.But the owner did not care for it about an year. After failing the eco test a few days ago,he went to A**o W*rld Kurunegala. They had said after scaning that there are many faults. So they had cleaned the throttle and plugs.Again the car failed the eco test. Finally the owner had to take it to a local makabas. He replaced the sensor and the car passed the test. What's funny is that the faulty sensor was a Toyota???.
  9. I think u should change the lights to HID LEDs.I changed mine, and it was extremely better than the stock halogens.
  10. Congratz on your new ride bro!!! Thecar seems very well maintained and taken care of.I don't know but one of my friends said that Lancer CS is more comfier than Axio and also his previous Cefiro.I'm yet to drive or be a passenger in a CS.
  11. You know that Sri Lankans are pretty good at converting grades.F to G Superior,Normal to Gold Badge,TRJ 150 to KDJ 150,and now G to WXB ????
  12. When I went to Toyota L**ka kurunegala for the tune, I saw an Axio WXB Fielder hybrid. It was parked next mine. The best looking wagon i've ever seen.Rear lights look like a 5 series. It was simply awesome looking.(this is the trd version, but the one i saw looked exactly the same)
  13. I also agree with you.For everyday usage,Axio will be the best bet.I got the chance to drive Axio 161 non-hybrid version 1500cc,and IMO so far the best in its category for ordinary usage.Good comfort, nice interior(cloth trim on the doors opposed to synthetic leather on the axio) and of course power.Handling is also better than the Axio 141 with less body roll.Steering has better feel than the hybrid version and turning of the traction control makes it a bit sharper. Also one can be found around 5mil.I wouldn't regret if I could get hands on one
  14. I agree with you.Honda has a much more complicated hybrid system compared to toyota's hybrid synergy drive.Toyota's feel smooth and refined.
  15. I've driven both in a same route.(there is a route i've chosen to test cars which includes stretches, hills and serious bends). As a driver,i prefer Grace over the Axio. Not as an owner. But the thing is both cars feel far away from the driver due to heavily packed electronics. For an example,if you travel at 40km/h in Grace and if you want to overtake, when you floor the accelerator it takes 2-3seconds to rev up and gain power. But when it comes alive has loads of torque and power, unlike the Axio.Handling wise Honda has a bit more steering feel while Axio hybrid is totally numb.IMO Axio is pretty dangerous on tight bends, where you need a bit of steering feedback to guess where the car is going.Grace has a bit of steering feel. But both cars don't have much body roll in coners compared to cars like Allions and Premios.I felt Grace is better.Fuel economy wise I think Axio is the best bet.Axio has a much more refined and comfier ride compared to the Grace. But both cars are almost the same, and the difference is hard to notice.Grace has lot of fancy options while Axio Hybrid got not much new options. So I think Grace wins in options and interior quality department. But the Axio's interior feels well put together,I mean a bit solid(yeah its plasticy??).Grace has extremely good legroom, but Axio has better seating positions for passengers. So it is upto you to decide.I shared my personal opinions.
  16. Mirai has an eye-watering price of $60000+.Considering for a car for four passengers and basically a sedan-prius design the price is too much.Anyway hydrogen might be the only hope for the future. So mirai might succeed.Someday in Sri Lanka 'mudalalis' will also buy them???.The only thing that bothers me is safety. If the hydro tank get a chance to break during an accident, that would be a tragic.
  17. Hey guys, To my surprise, the problem solved without any repair. Now the car accelerates brutally. Thanks for ur replies.
  18. I have no idea about the hybrid cars' market value. But anyway,a person that I know bought a Honda Insight in 2011,unregistered,imported through a friend. He had to pay about 3.5 million and the car was in pristine condition even thought 16k kms done.YOM 2009.Last December he sold the car for 3.5 million again. What made me amazed was the mileage, abt 140k kms and the interior was full of dirt due to his two children. Now he drives a Grace.Yesterday I got the chance to drive it.Probably the most balanced hybrid car I met. What makes your car sell faster is not the mileage, neither the condition,BUT OF COURSE YOUR LUCK!!! I don't know but I've seen 240 Allions manufactured in 2006 or 2007 for sale in ik**n.lk which had done well over 90k km or even over 100k km in good condition(not pristine) quotiong prices like 4.0-4.3 million. After few days the advertisement is gone. For that price,we can get a good 260 Allion.Maybe the owner had given up the idea of selling the car and that might be the reason the ad dissapeared????
  19. I've seen many brand new imported ones for sale, rebadged as G grades and quoting prices over 3.2mil.Even they had installed teak panels. The easiest ways to identify a proper G grade can be sorted out as this. -Automatic climate control + Rear Armrest + Steering Wheel with the Chrome Toyota Emblem Those 3 can be easily identified.Sometimes due to usage the chrome paint of the steering wheel emblem may had dissapeared. But the G grade's steering wheel is a bit different than others, looks a bit fatty in the middle.
  20. Yup.For daily colombo running you can't beat the Wagon R for the price. But it's the fact that it is faster than the 4a-ge I can't agree with.Has a little bit of oomph but.....I dunno.Anyway I've heard that the 4a-ge is a bit slower off the line.I've never driven one.But I've heard. Is it true??
  21. No.They didn't.If the OCV filter is bad the fuel economy should be affected. But, I'm yet to experience a bad fuel economy after the 96k kms tune up.Before that it burnt gasoline worth of Rs.2000 to travel from Colombo to Kegalle(The day I brought the car home). Also before the tune up this time,it only cost me abt Rs.700 to travel from Kegalle to Waikkala and back to Kegalle which has a total of 140km.
  22. I have driven the 2016 Wagon R Stingray J Style a lot; around colombo, colombo to kegalle, kandy to kegalle, around kegalle. So I think I had experienced every kind of road situations. So I'll sort out the pros and cons. Pros -Fuel Economy(extremely economical.does around 16kmpl in colombo in traffic.during heavy traffic may go down to 13-14.outstation 20+ can be achieved easily) -Interior space(impressive for a car of that size.lots of storage spaces.good legroom and headroom) -options(again impressive for the car of that price range.adjustable rear seats.pre collision safety etc...) -comfort is also not bad.but not good.but again for the price you pay it's good. Cons -This stands above all the pros.Acceleration???.extremely lazy engine.even the S mode doesn't make much of a difference.Below 4000rpm the car is like almost dead. There is a bit of torque below 2000rpm which helps during acceleration from a standstill, but suddenly it dissapears. To get some good acceleration you need to rev up the engine at least over 4000rpm,then it moves a bit. Also the engine is easy to rev.If you plan to use it in a hilly area forget about it.It does climb. But feels like it takes the whole day to do the climb. So be careful about your decision.
  23. Yup.I told them. They replaced the injector washers.
  24. MAF Sensor was cleaned.Plugs changed. Also the transmission oil was changed by removing the oil pan.But during the tuneup they didn't scan the car. They told me that the ecu automatically adjusts according to the values sent by the sensors.
  25. Hello Guys, This is after a long time I'm posting a new topic.Earlier I felt the car (corolla 121)lacks power when accelerating. So recently I did a tune up from To***a L**ka.They did the job correctly, but still after the tune up also I experience the lack of power.I also changed Transmission oil 3 or 4 weeks prior to the tune up and also serviced the car on the morning of the day the tuneup did.I'm puzzelled.During the tune up they replaced the petrol filter which has not been changed by the previous owner and cleaned the injectors which has not been cleaned during the last tune up.When they removed the engine cover to replace the valve cover gasket told the engine is in extremely good condition, which has now done 140k kms. After the tune up they said it is not necessary to reset the ecu, since it will automatically adjust. But what I experienced after the tune up was what I experience before. So when I returned home I reset the ecu by disconecting the negative battery wire for about 20mins.After that also no luck. What I have to experience is a bit strange. When I fully press the accelerator the engine revs but feels a bit slow and also CHANGES THE GEAR ON 4500RPM.But when I drove another car same as mine the car was totally different. On the full pedal it changed the gear just before the redline and also accelerated briskly. So I felt mine has something wrong. But when I accelerate from L the engine revs all the way up till the redline. What is the reason for this??As I had done all the running repairs at the moment I'm a bit embarrased.☹️☹️☹️☹️ Please give your opinions. Thank You
