  1. Thanks ramishkad and tbird. I purchased yuasa maintenance free battery from pachikawatha area with DSL warranty for two years. cost me Rs.10500.
  2. After 3 years , as Gayanath described i am experiencing issues due to malfunctioning 12V battery. I had to parked the vehicle for two weeks and suddenly I am seeing few errors on the dashboard when i try to start the car and car won't start. it shows break errors, ABS errors, immobilizer on . when i check the battery it is 10.2 V . The original battery came with the car was Furukawa 44Ah flood type lead acid battery. past few days ,every morning I try to charge it using external charger.Charge holds around 12.6V (I may not be charging to it full )and after going 10km to the office it drops 10.22V again. But i was able to start at the evening. I am thinking of changing battery and can some one recommend good brand for this. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks guys for your opinion. As 'tcfern1' I will do a Engine Oil Change. And see how it goes. I will translate the initial tables of the maintenance guide with in the blog .They are more likely best practice which can be done by our self (At least verify 'OK Condition). BTW , Please your experience with S*****rd M***rs. Will the provide a maintenance recommendation/ booklet.
  4. Hello , I personally Import a Honda FIT GP5 (2015) on May this year. Now the mileage is around 4250Km.And I was planning to do a service at 5000km. Then I searched for Service Schedule available online , but unable to find them. Then I found that Japanese 'Maintenance note" that came with the "spare smart key". As per it i don't need to do a Engine oil service worst case for 7500km. Can any one give me recommendation on this based on Sri Lankan context. Please see the table. (http://dilancw.blogspot.com/2015/10/honda-fit-gp5-service-maintanence-manual.html ) BTW. About the manual i have a doubt whether that is specific maintenance manual for GP5 or generic one for honda. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thank you All for your valuable inputs! In last week end , i took a visit to car sales around kohuwala - piliyandala , malambe, homagama area. When i inspect the cars and the prices it seem 121 is very well over priced, 121 LX which having YOM 2006 is 3.75M. Now i am focusing on belta, which have decent quality interior ,options, and only 4 years old.
  6. Thanks all your opinion, How about if i add third one to this equation. Toyota VIOS 3)Toyota VIOS 2007 1500cc As this is same body as Belta, can i have decent pulling power with 1.5 engine. What would be manufacturing quality? And interior quality Belta vs VIOS? i heard vios manufactured in Thailand /Singapore.
  7. my list finally came down to above two cars. Please advice me what should i go for.. my budget is around 3- 3.4 million. 1) Toyota Corolla 121 LX , G ,X grade 2003-2004 2) Toyota Belta 1300cc - 2007 My main concern is easy maintenance, durability. Experts please let us know your opinion. Thanks!
  8. Hi Guys, what is your opinion on Toyota VIOS / Honda CIVIC E Series(7th gen)? Thanks, Dylan
  9. Thanks "rangerover" & "varunatech". After you guys have suggested i look around 240 allion prices. It seems the good ones (YOM around 2005) are towards 4.0M. And my budget is more towards 3.0M . if you guys can suggest car, may be other maker that would be helpful. My main requirement as follows. 1.Car will be used as secondary car , So i'm not looking for very high fuel efficiency. 2. Sedan type - no hatchback 3. Budget is around 3.0M, maximum go up to 3.5M for a very good* car 4. Availability of spare parts 5.Second hand market value Thanks Dylan
