  1. Hi, Can someone please tell me the components that should be replaced when replacing front shocks? As i know it is better to replace the following at once. 1. shock absorbers (2) 2. shock dust covers (2) 3. shock mounts (2) 4. Sway bar links (2) Is there anything else or is this it? Thanks
  2. Well i brought is couple of days back. if i get it will let u know
  3. Hi, is there anyone who are using kyb shocks for their es5 for both front n rear. Any comments on the experience. Stafford shocks r out. Bloody expensive. Its either original from teck motor or kyb. Tack ones r they really original? I need to replace my rear shocks immediately. Ur response is appreciated.
  4. I actually brought a cleaning set from ebay since i dont know anyone who brings them here.
  5. HI i went to do a suspension testing for my Honda civic ES5 today to Nalaka alignment center. It took around 5mins only. their printer was not working so didnt get the report as well. however the technician said rear shocks are out. There were 3 parameters called GC%, CSI and BE. He was only referring to CSI and he said it should be > .3. He didnt had much clue on the others. Does anyone have a good idea on what these parameters and what they measure. my results are as follows. Front Left GC% - 61 CSI - .37 BE - 1.23 Front Right GC% - 61 CSI - .42 BE - 1.21 Rear Left GC% - 0 CSI - .17 BE - 2.09 Rear Right GC% - 21 CSI - .24 BE - 1.60
  6. Thanks for the replies guys. Im actually concerned about the tread pattern. coz im doing some mods to the car so i dont want to use a normal passenger type Tread pattern. Falken is out. coz they said average mileage expectancy is 25000-30000km. So current options are Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX and Yokohama S Drive. But i cant find a place where they have the Yokohama tire. N i forgot to mention the car. its a Es5.
  7. Guys, i need to change all 4 tyres and currently it has Falken ZE912 205/50R16 tyres. i have two questions. 1. i was thinking to put 205/55 instead of 205/50 coz 55 gives u the best speed output. yet it is about 1cm thinker. so thinking what to go with. 2. I was checking out the Dunlop Sport LM703 tyre. But it has different critics in the internet. some say its good n some say its side walls are very bad. anyone who has been using this tyre. If not what would be a good alternative. I need to know the brand, model and the country of mfg that you recommend. my budget is max around 25k per tire. thanks in advance.
  8. well that answer is much better than having a beehive behind my car, right???? and later on i got to know its a common thing in cars. n i dont need to worry much about it
  9. finally a sensible answer. thanks Dumi##a. i was starting to believe this forum is nothing but spammers. if only autolanka give the option to blacklist these spammers.........
  10. Hi, no there is no power antenna. no fart cannons or whatever than means. only the stock silencer. not an animal coz my dog can smelli animals kilometers away. and no key was removed from the car and was '0' position
  11. Hi, i bought a civic ES8 last month and there are no issues while driving. however, last night i heard a hum sound similar to a phone vibration coming from the back side of my car. it was coming every 1-2 mins and lasted around 5-10 seconds. car is fully power off. couldnt figure out y so moved the car to another place and it seemed to stop. morning i didnt hear anything so when out in the car and came back in the evening. later in the evening i could hear the same humming. it was coming from the back and from the silencer side. but car was full cooled now. i even touched the silencer from my hand. so then i removed the battery connection. the humming happened once and after than it stopped. things seem to be ok so i connected the battery again started the car reversed a bit so the humming stopped. still i cant figure out the cause? does anyone of u have experienced something like this. or can u tell me a good mechanic to show this n ask what happening. Thanks in advance.
  12. mr. smartass, i know how to google. read for ur self n see whether what i asked is there directly.
  13. Hi can you clearly tell what are the additional features available in each model with respective to the YOM. since there are couple of models under the same Lancer name (2001,2002 box shape) and (2003 after round shape) i want to know what are differences and the best buy for a budget around 2million. and what are the specific feature diffrences between GL,GLS and GLX when it comes to lancers. Thanks in Advance
