  1. Just FYI. I had a SCP90 couple of years ago and the car was burning oil since the day I bought. No smoke from the exhaust and usually show a reduction after a long outstation trip. Short city drives didn't matter much. Used for 4 years though I'm not suggesting that you should not fix it.
  2. I had the same experience during the fuel crisis. Took a 20L can of SD from a Ceypetco shed and it smelled a lot like AD with Kerosene smell. You never know.
  3. Xtra Mile is just regular diesel with additives added. Best thing is to pump SD from IOC although I pump from Ceypetco as well.
  4. There are few original diesel ones but yes most of them are converts in SL.
  5. It would be a pain to change everything back again unless you find a good mechanic competent with diesels especially Koreans. Btw what's the original engine it had? D4EA?
  6. Trailing behind a heavy lorry or bus for a mile or so in those twisty roads is a common thing. I might be wrong but wouldn't DCTs tend to overheat if you drive slowly on inclines for prolonged time?
  7. Why not try the agents? I bought shocks, stabilizer links from A**ntha recently. Those shocks were made by Mando but not sure how genuine they are.
  8. Agent is always a disappointment. The only problem I see in KIA.
  9. Used normal diesel in my Sorento for the past 3 months without an issue so far. Didn't felt any difference to be honest. Used W**th super diesel additive and S*P injector cleaner once or twice. Those did make some difference in terms of smoothness and fuel economy but not by very much. My experience with eco tablets is neutral. Btw mine doesn't have DPF.
  10. Sorry for the late reply. When I checked last time, high pressure pump was like 225K and an injector was about 117K at the agents (after discount they are willing to sell injectors at 88K each and pump for 190K). However recon pump was there for 95K and injectors for about 35K from a guy who imports used Korean parts. Ajan**a motors sells brand new injector for 56K. So buying outside the agents is so much cheaper in my opinion. This was last year and prices could have gone up now with the shitty situation now and parts are getting rarer by the day. Those prices are for the 2009-12 XM model.
  11. If this is for mixed driving conditions, I would say it's bit low. Small engines burn more fuel if you drive them hard.
  12. Never felt any difference with ride quality. Just that with nitrogen, I rarely feel the need to top up.
  13. Oh. Didn't realize it's the same truck. Even with the warranty you could still get a second opinion from some other reputed place I guess.
  14. Sound like a failing turbo but it's unusual for a new car with such low mileage. Obviously not normal to me. Edit: Maybe it's normal?
  15. Thanks for the information. When I was replacing shocks for my Allion, I bought them from GS A*to at Rajagiriya. Also was bit cheaper than T**S and had no problems.
  16. Crazy accident today at Ratnapura. Looks like the container truck lost its brakes or simply being reckless. Note the Axio was hit from behind. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=540773527023353&extid=NS-UNK-UNK-UNK-UNK_GK0T-GK1C&ref=sharing
  17. Or a cheap entertainment unit job. Sometimes they cut the wire harness under the dash to plug the new unit.
  18. near the firewall just under dashboard? Thought some kind of a electrical short circuit.
